When I went to Roppongi Midtown, I visited this restaurant which also has a dining establishment and the food was delicious. I found out that Zensho has three branches including the main store in Nagoya and two branches in Tokyo, totaling five stores. Oh my goodness, thank you for opening in Tokyo!! I love it!! It's amazing that you can have a delicious Suzunami-san set meal for under 2000 yen. This time, I ordered the young grated yam set meal. The fish of the day was silver salmon. There was also silver cod available, but since you can have silver cod elsewhere, I decided to go with Suzunami-san's silver salmon. First time. Exciting. Unlike the Roppongi branch, the menu here is simple with only six options. The other branch had a wider variety of menu items, including the Nagoya Gozen set meal. I thought this branch might be more like a tourist spot, but maybe Roppongi is more of a tourist area...? Anyway, I placed my order and the set meal arrived promptly, surprising me. But I said, "Itadakimasu" and started eating. (I'm terrible at taking photos, so the rice turned out completely white and I'm laughing a bit.) The rice was also served in a separate wooden container, which made me really happy. Maybe it's because of the grated yam? Is it because of the grated yam? I'm so happy. First, the silver salmon. The silver salmon, with its beautifully grilled fatty texture and the subtle sweetness of the mirin lees, was incredibly delicious!! Ah, I really love Suzunami-san. I wish people from all over the world could try Suzunami-san's set meal. The grated yam was also delicious. It said on the menu that they use eggs, and since it had a slightly yellow hue, maybe the eggs were mixed into the grated yam...? (I have a silly palate.) It was so bouncy and incredibly delicious, I love it. The red miso soup was a bit strong, but that was also good. Ah, I really love Suzunami-san's rice. Next time I go to Nagoya, I'll visit the main store.
