This is a sushi izakaya located on Higashi Street in Umeda. ・Great value for money sushi izakaya! ・No appetizers, 10% off with a Tabelog coupon! ・The sushi dog and high-end dishes were delicious. ■■■ Restaurant ■■■ I went alone for dinner. I came to the sushi izakaya that I had been curious about for a while. There are several table seats and about 10 counter seats along the kitchen. It was 6:30 on a weekday, and the table seats seemed to be fully booked, but there were no customers at the counter. There are many office workers around as it is on Higashi Street. Smoking is allowed, but only heated tobacco is permitted. The staff are energetic and engage in cheerful conversations, creating a pleasant atmosphere in the workplace. ■■■ Menu ■■■ The main dishes are sushi, sashimi, and seafood. You can order sushi by the piece, which is convenient. They have unique menu items like overflowing fatty tuna and overflowing salmon, which seem to be inspired by a certain sushi izakaya. The prices range from around 128 yen for a piece of sushi, with fried dishes mostly around 398 yen, which is quite affordable. There are no appetizers, which is even more convenient! You can order by scanning a QR code with your smartphone, using the Air register ordering system. It is user-friendly with no need for personal information or "friend registration," and there is a search function as well. ■■■ Food ■■■ This time, I ordered yellowtail collar, sushi, and sake, planning to enjoy them in order of cooking time! The sushi rice is dense and firm. It has less vinegar. The soy sauce is sweet and salty, lacking the original umami taste. ▼Yellowtail (178 yen in May 23) It's delicious and tender. ▼Horse mackerel (128 yen) It's cheap but had a slightly fishy smell. ▼Crab miso (88 yen) It felt like squeezing it out of a tube. ▼Grilled yellowtail collar (398 yen) It's over 10 cm long! It has a slight smell, but it's delicious. The grated daikon radish served in the restaurant is also good. Great value for the price! ▼Sushi Dog Salmon and Salmon Roe (398 yen) What's a sushi dog!? (laughs) I was curious, so I ordered it. It seems to be a large piece of rich sushi placed on a big sheet of seaweed. This one has fatty salmon, salmon roe, and scallions. The seaweed is quite thick. ...But surprisingly, it's quite substantial! The balance of tenderness, texture, richness, and aroma is excellent. ...This is delicious! It's a great deal for 398 yen! It might get expensive if you keep eating, but it's totally worth it. ▼Sea Urchin Dripping Sushi (448 yen) Feeling bold, I ordered another one! It's similar to the sashimi-inspired style, seasoned with rock salt? The meat is seared on top but rare on the back. It's thick. There's not much sea urchin, but it does a great job of enhancing the flavor. Ah... it's delicious... You can eat it in one bite, but it still feels like a good deal. ■■■ Drinks ■■■ ▼Matsuchikume Gokai One-cup Warm Sake (448 yen in May 23) It arrived in a glass tokkuri. The temperature is decently warm. It's not very hot, so it lacks a bit of stimulation. It's a bit more than one cup, around 200ml, which might be a bit of a bargain. ■■■ Closing ■■■ The total bill came to 1878 yen with a 10% discount from the Tabelog coupon! Even though I only had one drink, this is a great deal. Compared to "Sushi Sakaba Sashisu," it may not be as sophisticated, but it's highly recommended for seafood lovers drinking in small groups. I would love to come back again. Thank you for the meal.
