I often use Shinbashi Hashigo. There are many smokers in the group, so it was good that smoking was allowed, and it can accommodate around 5-6 people. It is located on a street corner, so I often end up going in on a whim. Personally, the selling point of this place is the variety of fish dishes that are delicious. They have dishes like pickled mackerel, simmered horse mackerel, salmon belly, and salted mackerel. The downside is that the soda set with the bottle is expensive. When I go with a large group, we usually order a bottle. Water is free, but I forgot how much the soda was, but it was expensive. You order from a touch panel menu. It's great for chatting and drinking with everyone.

I wanted to go to a slightly stylish small restaurant after eating yakitori, but my friend insisted on going to a smoking-friendly izakaya. So, I ended up at a typical izakaya that I had never been to before. There was nothing particularly special about it, but the drinks were incredibly cheap. It was surprising that no matter how many chu-hais I drank, it was only ¥220 each! And the drinks came out super fast. This was amazing!

Just before 4 pm on Sunday. I missed the G1 horse race earlier and drowned my sorrows in alcohol. As it gets closer to this time, more people start to come out, and this area, which only serves lunch, is starting to liven up. There is only one group inside the restaurant. However, the outdoor terrace is full. The temperature is nice this time of year, it must feel great out there. But I'm not a fan of making noise on the terrace, so I'm inside. Tuna sashimi ¥528, Mountain yam moon-viewing dish ¥418, Pickled long yam ¥418, along with drinks for ¥2464. The tuna is fresh and incredibly delicious. I feel so lucky to be able to taste it here. The moon-viewing dish with quail was listed as chicken in the menu photo. I understand that quail is more expensive, but I feel like I got a bit ripped off. Thanks for the meal.

It's delicious. The place has a casual pub-like atmosphere. Sours are cheap at 220 yen. You can choose from 11 different types of sours. Yakitori is ordered in units of 2 skewers. The portions of appetizers are on the smaller side. The seating is close together.

I visited an izakaya near Shinbashi Station because they had sours for only 220 yen, which was a great deal. The otoshi (appetizer) was hijiki seaweed. I ordered potato fries and yakitori. The yakitori included heart, cartilage, thigh, meatball, and gizzard. The gizzard had a nostalgic taste to it. They offer a variety of sours such as lemon, grapefruit, lime, as well as sweet ones like umeboshi sour and tea cocktail. Shinbashi is starting to get lively again with more people returning.

The quality of the food is high but the cost performance is good. The drinks are also easy to drink and delicious! Not to mention the deliciousness of the seafood dishes, the oden broth was also delicious. The entire 4-story building is a restaurant and there are plenty of seats available. I definitely want to visit again when I go to Shinbashi.

I'm sorry. Every time I come individually, this place is not my first choice. When I can't get in anywhere else because everywhere else is full, I remember this place and can easily get in. I wonder what makes it slightly less crowded here? Maybe it's the slightly higher drink prices? But even so, highballs and beer are both under 500 yen. The yakitori dishes are delicious, and the grilled hokke fish is surprisingly cheap! That's rare these days. I was happy to enjoy it. This place has 2nd and 3rd floors as well. Everywhere else was full. When that happens, come here. The food and drinks are delicious.

Visited with former colleagues from my previous workplace. Overall, this is a typical izakaya in Shinbashi. Comforting dishes and a relaxed atmosphere. Prices range from 380 yen to 480 yen per dish, making it a good value for those who understand cost ratios. The black pepper fried chicken is especially delicious. Will definitely come back! This place is worth a visit once in a while.

On a certain day in February 2019, I was wandering around Shinbashi and saw a shop that caught my eye. There was a sign outside the shop saying "Sour 200 yen," which was fantastic. The shop had a cool exterior and the menu posted outside was also to my liking. I had to go in. The shop was a 4-story izakaya with an old-fashioned feel as soon as you entered, with oden right there. The Super Dry draft beer was great too. The place was stylish. Inside, there were many salarymen, so it might be tough for non-smokers. The food was reasonably priced, mostly in the 500 yen range, and it was delicious. I was impressed by how thinly sliced the tomatoes were. Everything was well-prepared. The oden, in particular, had delicious broth. The sake decanter was also affordable. I really liked the soba tea sour. Even after drinking a lot, the bill was only 10,000 yen. I regret not ordering more as I had eaten too much for lunch that day. I would love to visit this place again when in Shinbashi. There were even some young women in their early twenties mingling with the salarymen. It's a good izakaya that is welcoming to drinkers. It's strange that the shop has a low rating on Tabelog. It's a great place for a drink.

At Shinbashi Matoi Koma, we had a high school reunion for those over 60, but everyone looked healthy. The atmosphere was typical of Shinbashi, and the yakitori and sashimi were delicious. The lack of an elevator and steep stairs made it a bit tough for the elderly.

Sour is cheap, can't say anything about the price of this drink, the yakitori tsukune is not tasty, the chicken thigh is just delicious. It's nice that you can smoke and they have outdoor seating.

I wandered around Shinbashi looking for a meeting spot with my close work colleagues. Since it was the weekend, all the promising restaurants were fully booked. After checking with a few places, we finally decided on this one where they said they could seat us. We climbed a narrow staircase to the third floor and were guided to a private room at the back. We sat down and started with a cheers beer. While nibbling on the appetizers, we tried to order more food using the touch panel, but it was difficult to use since it couldn't be removed. Our first food order included horse sashimi, green onion char siu, octopus tempura, and potato fries. The dishes arrived at our table fairly quickly, and we didn't have to wait long. For our second round, we ordered highballs and added firefly squid marinated in vinegar, whale bacon, and beer sausages. The whale bacon had quite a bit of fat, but the taste was okay. The beer sausages came with a generous serving of potato fries, which overlapped with our previous order (laughs). We continued with more highballs and ordered grilled eggplant and lotus root sandwich tempura. As we drank, we noticed other customers paying their bills and leaving, followed by the staff disinfecting the tables, including spraying alcohol on the touch panel. We stayed for about 3 and a half hours, and the bill came out to around 5,000 yen per person, which was quite a sum considering the amount we drank.

I had a delicious meal consisting of cheap Chuhai (220 yen each), Calpis Highball, Berry Highball, assorted grilled chicken skewers, salad with lotus root tempura, and assorted sashimi. It was so tasty!

A safe and affordable popular izakaya that is a bit cramped, but with prices 200 yen cheaper for sour drinks.

The smell of tobacco is overwhelming and they only have cheap alcohol. I will never go there again.

Eating pickled vegetables or sake lees with beer is the best!

The food at this restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
