Sure. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. I enjoyed the barrel-aged Jack Daniel's cocktail. However, the mojito was not good.

"Tachikawa Cocktail Festa 2017" 3rd stop. "Norwegian Wood" and "Kony's Bar". This time, I took my drinking buddy, who is usually the guide for our Tachikawa bar hopping adventures, to a place he had never been before. I myself had only been there once before, and I remember being quite intoxicated at the time. (laughs) I don't usually frequent the same bar multiple times, but if I like a place after just one visit, I tend to feel a personal attachment to it. Last time I visited, I ended up getting drunk on the all-you-can-drink wine at In Camera Porta, but the thing that stood out to me was the impressive voice and sophisticated demeanor of the owner. This time, with just a light buzz, I was able to appreciate the owner's behavior even more. The tone of his voice, his choice of words, and his precise distance all added to the smooth interaction. As someone who works in welfare and interacts with people regularly, I have thought a lot about communication and have gained a lot of experience. The owner's behavior was calculated and logical, and I found it very educational. I tried the recommended spirits: a Kamu Extra Old (with water) for 1,200 yen, and a Suzy Diamond (Tachikawa Cocktail Festa 2017 entry cocktail) for 900 yen, totaling around 3,500 yen. I trust the recommendations of people I respect, so I tried the Cognac that was suggested to me. It was very smooth and delicious. Even though I am not very knowledgeable about alcohol, I learned that Cognac is from France that day. (laughs) I would love to visit this place again. It's a personal favorite of mine. Thank you for the hospitality.

Tachikawa Cocktail Festa in summer☆ Visited the 9th venue. I must apologize for stumbling upon In Camera PORTA's drunkard scene. I fell into the trap of the short time (1 hour) all-you-can-drink wine and ended up quite drunk when I visited, which I regret. (laughs) The impression was a very calm atmosphere, a relaxing bar. The bartender's personality, conversation skills, and comfort were outstanding.
- Sherry Orangeade ~ Tachikawa Cocktail Festa entry cocktail ~
- A different type of Sherry on the rocks? I was quite drunk, so my memory of the taste details is a bit fuzzy... I had another glass because it was refreshing and easy to drink. I didn't realize you could drink Sherry on the rocks. It seems quite deep.
I'm not good at talking about the details of alcohol, mainly because my brain is small and overloaded with work, so I tend to let things go in one ear and out the other, which often annoys my partner. (bitter smile) If there's a professional in front of me, I just leave it to them and order whatever at any bar I go to. This day, I listened to the bartender's various stories across the counter... and what I honestly felt was "His voice is nice!" (laughs) His voice could work for voice acting. His voice has a nice resonance, and the flow of his words is easy to listen to. His choice of words is beautiful. I really think this is important!
As I visit only new bars, this aspect catches my attention. The impression created by a bartender's speech is more important to me than the alcohol, atmosphere, or anything else. Having visited various bars in Tachikawa, there is one place where I haven't reviewed yet, where the bartender's speech towards regular customers was quite rude. Even though they were polite to me, they were disrespectful to regulars... that is also a personality trait. It may be considered good for the relationship with regulars, but it reflects the dignity of the bar. In that sense, the bartender here. I was quite impressed by his speech and voice while getting drunk and almost falling asleep. (laughs) I would like to visit this place again slowly! It seems like a good place where you can feel safe even at a glance. Thank you for the hospitality.

Tachikawa Cocktail Festa 2016 in summer is being held at BAR KNOTT, a bar in Tachikawa city, where they are offering cocktails using Sherry wine until the end of October 2016. The bar is located about a 3.4-minute walk from Tachikawa Station South Exit, on the 2nd floor of a building. The interior is not very spacious, with a few seats at the counter, a couple of small tables by the wall, and a semi-private room at the back that can accommodate up to 4-5 people. I sat at the only empty seat at the counter. I tried the Sherry Orangeade cocktail made with Mikaela's dry Sherry wine "Manzanilla" and fragrant oranges, which was refreshing and perfect for summer. They also have a special barrel-aged Jack Daniel's from America, which I tried on the rocks. Although I couldn't fully appreciate its depth of flavor, I enjoyed it nonetheless. The owner kindly brought the barrel to show me, and I had a pleasant conversation with a fellow customer. As I was getting ready to leave, the owner escorted me to the bottom of the stairs. Such a thoughtful gesture! I will definitely visit again.

I was invited by a friend to Tachikawa, where we had seafood at a restaurant before heading to this place, which my friend called the "main event." The bar is located on the second floor of a mixed-use building and has a normal shot bar appearance, but it doesn't give off a closed-off vibe and is welcoming to beginners. Sitting at the far end of the counter, I asked my friend what drink was worth bringing someone all the way to Tachikawa for, and he pointed to a bottle placed in front of me. It looked like a regular Canadian Club bottle, but it was quite old-fashioned. When I asked about it, my friend just smiled and said, "It's as old as you." I got permission to pick up the bottle and saw the year "1977" on it. Following the bartender's recommendation, I decided to try it straight. It was my first time trying vintage whiskey, and it was a whole new experience. The Canadian Club was easy to drink, smooth, and had a deep, indescribable flavor. It was nothing like the regular Canadian Club I've had before. It woke me up from the nice buzz I had from the lemon sour. My friend then offered me smoked sardines in oil, straight from the can, which he had ordered while I was savoring the Canadian Club. When I tried it with the warm smoked sardines, the smoky flavor combined with the whiskey for a unique taste. It wasn't until my shot glass was empty that I realized the bartender, whom I had just met, was very easy to talk to. He had a wealth of knowledge about alcohol but didn't show off, nor did he act overly humble. His behavior behind the counter was refined and charming. Even though I had somehow reached the age where drinking whiskey straight at a shot bar was a thing, I realized that it's not so bad to grow older if you can enjoy these kinds of experiences. Since it's a beginner-friendly shot bar, I would recommend it to anyone looking to debut at a shot bar.

JR Tachikawa Station South Exit, walking towards WINS, there is a shop. It is surrounded by mostly food and drink establishments, but the sign is easy to spot so you should be able to find it. You go up the stairs to the 2nd floor, and the door to the shop was left open at that time. Unlike many shot bars with elaborate doors that can make it hard to enter, this one had no such issue. I entered the shop without hesitation. I started with Jack Daniel's, which was the first thing on the menu, and ordered mixed nuts with a Tabelog coupon. It was nice to see the shot glass filled to the brim. Drinking Jack Daniel's under slightly dim lighting made it taste a bit different from usual, and I enjoyed it. I also had Scotch and gin-based cocktails, all of which were delicious and satisfying. The bartender was friendly and easy to talk to, so even if you come alone, you won't be bored. They can suggest options based on your preferences, helping you find a drink you'll enjoy. However, it was a bit disappointing when a group of about three regular customers arrived and started talking loudly. I missed the timing to order more drinks, and it was a bit bothersome. I prefer a quiet atmosphere in a shot bar, so this was a bit hard to ignore. The shop's drinks and bartender were great, but the clientele didn't quite match my preference. It may have just been an unlucky day, so I would like to visit again in the future. A woman was also dining alone, so it seems like a place where anyone can feel welcome.

Shot bar located on the second floor of a mixed-use building at the south exit of Tachikawa. This bar was also used as a filming location for the drama "Gokusen 2". Despite visiting right before closing time around 4 am for a specific reason, the bartender greeted me with a smile and said, "Please have a seat." A good bar can be judged by such a simple greeting. I ordered a gin and tonic and a whiskey soda, and the bartender mixed them so well that I was worried the carbonation might be lost. However, the drinks turned out to be delicious, completely exceeding my expectations. It seemed like the bartender carefully considered whether customers coming at that time would prefer strong carbonation. This is truly a great bar.
