It's Sunday morning. It's the nest of a raccoon. Yesterday, I found a chocolate specialty store while strolling around Roppongi. It's called UN JOUR. Hmm... "a wonderful day" or something like that. Yes, that makes sense. I enjoy eating out every day, and tonight I'll be having sushi in Azabu. My herniated disc seems to have healed, maybe because I've been praying in front of my late wife's smiling photo. Anyway, I'm here to choose a birthday present for my dining companion next week and also to buy breakfast for the raccoon the next morning. I browse through the showcase and decide on the most popular fresh chocolate, with four different flavors including Earl Grey and varying cocoa origins and ratios. The kind shop assistant helps me choose, and I pick the most popular fresh chocolate for the gift. I also buy a circular chocolate with almonds and cashews to have the next morning. And on Sunday morning, I enjoy it with a strong Italian roast coffee. Mmm, crunch crunch crunch. Mmm, delicious. I love chocolate no matter how old I am, Aha \(//∇//\) And that was a delicious meal.

This is a chocolate specialty store located on the B1F of Roppongi Hills North Tower, offering only takeout options. They sell large chocolates that cost over 3,000 yen each, but I decided to try three small round chocolates with diameters of about 6-7cm each. The flavors I tried were Cookie Salt, Macadamia Cashew Nut Mix, and Berry Ruby, each with a different cocoa content percentage. The Cookie Salt chocolate had a dark color and was topped with macadamia nuts, marshmallows, and biscuits. It had a rich and delicious taste of high-quality dark chocolate, with the macadamia nuts being a perfect match. The packaging indicated that the chocolate was made in Colombia. The Macadamia Cashew Nut Mix chocolate had a milkier color and a gentle, high-quality taste that I enjoyed, especially with the crunchy nuts. This chocolate was made in France. Lastly, the Berry Ruby chocolate, made in Belgium, contained dried strawberries, but I found it lacking in cocoa flavor and a bit disappointing. Overall, the store uses chocolates from different countries for each flavor, showing attention to detail. However, the packaging lacks luxury and may not be suitable for gifting. It made me realize that chocolate is a challenging product to enter the market, as some products rely on branding and appearance rather than taste.

I was always curious about this chocolate specialty store located in the Sweets Booth Area on B1F of Roppongi Hills North Tower, and on this day, with the Hills' point campaign going on, my shopping motivation was higher than usual, so I decided to make a purchase while passing by the shop. These days, I enjoy pairing chocolate with wine or having it as a bite-sized dessert. I bought the Round Chocolat Fiantine Pistachio Ecuador 70% for 380 yen (tax included). It was a crunchy chocolate with an easy-to-eat texture, crispy and gentle, with a slightly sweet impression for a high cocoa content chocolate. It had a rich cocoa flavor and was very delicious to enjoy. Since I often pass by Roppongi Hills North Tower, I would like to try a different flavor next time.

I stopped by here after watching a movie at Toho Cinemas. I bought the raw chocolate for 1700 yen and cookies for 250 yen. I think the taste is delicious in a normal way. It's cheaper than the imported chocolate shops in Roppongi Hills or Midtown, but the packaging is simple. Lately, even convenience stores have raw chocolate that is surprisingly delicious, so it can be used for personal consumption or as a gift.

At the Halloween event at Roppongi Hills, we received sweets as prizes for a stamp rally. My child got a sweets voucher, so we exchanged it at this shop and got chocolate and madeleines. Even though we only got a little, the combination of chocolate and almonds was delicious! The madeleines were also very tasty. We will definitely come back as customers next time. Thank you for the meal! :)

We carefully select the finest cocoa beans from the best origins and blend them like a winemaker blending grapes to create our original chocolates. We pay attention to every detail, from choosing the cocoa to selecting ingredients like eggs and almonds. We even change the origin of butter and milk for each chocolate. Our goal is to make every day special and happy for each individual. That is the essence of "un jour chocolat" chocolates.

I walked to Roppongi Hills North Tower basement to catch the metro, and along the way, I came across many charming shops. I saw a photo of chocolate in the shop guide and thought, "I want to eat this!" so I decided to take a look inside the shop. There were large round chocolates with a diameter of about 20 centimeters lined up. I wanted to eat this so badly! However, it seemed a bit too much for two people, and I wanted to try various flavors... so I opted for the mini size this time. 1) Hojicha Black Soybean: The black soybeans inside were delicious, but personally, I wish there was a little more hojicha flavor. 2) Tomato and fig dried fruit (I forgot the name): I really like this one. The 72% chocolate is not too sweet, and the dried fruits are a nice touch when you need a snack during work. 3) Chocolate Chunk Cookie: The cookie is thin, so it may not be satisfying for those with a big appetite, but the chocolate part is really tasty. It seems like this Roppongi Hills store just opened in April. The Omotesando store has an eat-in option, where you can enjoy it with a drink on the spot, so I definitely want to check it out. And the round chocolate is now on my list of souvenirs to buy.
