Met up with a friend who came from afar and headed to Isomaru Suisan after work. Had a fun night of drinking. Started with a toast with a glass of Hoppy White! We had some appetizers - small fish, cheese mochi, and thick fried tofu. Then we moved on to the main menu. The tuna and buri sashimi were fresh and delicious. We also ordered the following dishes: pickled cabbage, seared mackerel, grilled turban shell, crab miso in the shell, fried eggplant, octopus sausage, sea grapes, vegetable sticks, salted fish roe, potato butter, whitebait in garlic oil, tomato sour, and lemon sour. Before we knew it, it was already 11 PM. Finished off the night with fisherman-style miso soup. Thank you for the feast!

Recently opened Isomaru Suisan Shokudo at Togoshi Ginza Station. Located in a lively corner of the shopping district. The menu is wide-ranging, focusing on seafood such as grilled dishes, fried dishes, and side dishes. They seem to emphasize set meals and bento boxes more than the usual Isomaru. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was almost full. Quite bustling. The staff, consisting of four people, seemed a bit overwhelmed. After temperature checks and alcohol disinfection, we were guided to a table near the entrance. We were provided with warm hojicha tea, disposable chopsticks, and wet towels. I ordered the set meal with simmered pork belly and sashimi, which had about 30 choices. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The sashimi was two slices each of tuna and salmon, but they were thin and quite meager. The taste was average, but the freshness was not good. The simmered pork belly had a rich miso flavor but was oddly cold. The portion was also small. The rice was overly soft and sticky. The miso soup was seaweed soup, which was the only good thing. Strangely, the set did not come with salted fish roe and a small side dish. Were they forgotten? It's frustrating to pay over 1000 yen for this kind of quality. The service and atmosphere were good, but I hope for improvement in the future.

Revisited. Last time I went during the day, but this time I visited at night. The grilling was done quite well. Unfortunately, the tuna sashimi was disappointing. It may vary in quality. Also, the ramen at the end was not great. It seems to be modeled after Toriya's ramen, but the flavor was overwhelmingly bland. I hope they make some improvements. Thank you for the meal. I visited Isomaru Suisan Shokudo, which recently opened in the Togoshi Ginza shopping street. I entered around 11:30 am for lunch. The interior of the restaurant was surprisingly spacious. As the name suggests, they have a wide variety of set meals compared to the regular Isomaru Suisan. They also have a good selection of a la carte dishes, including alcohol, sashimi, sushi, and tempura. Thinking about it, there weren't many fish izakayas in the Togoshi Ginza shopping street, so it seems like it will be convenient in the future. I hope the Togoshi Ginza shopping street becomes even more lively. Thank you for the meal. Visit date: 2022.11.03

My friend and I went to this place. It's a beachside restaurant where you can experience grilling your own food. They have a wide variety of menu items like grilled squid that are really impressive. It's a great place to go with kids. And the wildness of the Yamanashi cold noodles served in a pot adds to the fun.

Isomaru Suisan Shokudo is a trendy hybrid restaurant that serves both izakaya dishes and set meals. Located in the Gotanda Ginza shopping street, Isomaru Suisan offers a special promotion where the first drink (beer, lemon sour, highball) costs only 10 yen. The promotion was quite popular, with people lining up even before opening hours. I decided to join the line and was pleasantly surprised when I received a notification within 20 minutes that it was my turn to enter. I ordered the motsu-ni (tripe stew) and sashimi set meal for 1,099 yen, with a free upgrade to a larger portion of rice. The beer was part of the promotion, but I declined the appetizer that came with it for an additional cost. The motsu-ni was delicious with a rich miso flavor, and the sashimi (tuna and yellowtail) was fresh and generously portioned. The side dishes of simmered hijiki seaweed and salted squid were also tasty. Overall, I found the meal to be satisfying and worth the price. I look forward to trying other items on the menu in the future.
