Today, I decided to meet up with my son who works in Osaka and have sushi together. We tried out the renowned Hokkaido and Tokyo restaurant "Sushi Miyakawa" which has expanded to Osaka. As expected, all the dishes were delicious and enjoyable. The appetizer platter with octopus and sea bream in vinegar sauce was amazing. The flounder sashimi with daikon radish and snow salt was excellent. The chawanmushi had a rich broth. The grilled mackerel with miso was tender and flavorful. The tempura was perfectly fried, especially the shrimp and swordfish. It was a rare treat to have Junsa (water shield) in vinegar. The sushi and gourd roll were unique in Kansai. The Edo-style red vinegar rice was great. The red miso soup was also good. We ended with tea and fruit to finish the meal. It was a truly enjoyable experience dining with my son. I would love to come back for special occasions.

When you arrive here, you must try this Japanese cuisine and sushi course. Taking the elevator to the 5th floor feels like entering a different world! A serene atmosphere far from the hustle and bustle outside, with the sight of craftsmen preparing sushi as the main act - it's just amazing! First, we toasted with beer! This time, I chose the Japanese cuisine and sushi course, so it was all up to the chef. Starting with the appetizer platter ✓3 kinds. It was delicious and visually appealing, a great match with beer! Next, we had ✓Chawanmushi with mochi inside! A chawanmushi with mochi - quite unique! Then, ✓Sashimi. Eat it with the special salt provided; the salt was thin and had a hint of sweetness, not too salty. I tried the 3500 yen lunch course. You can enjoy delicious sushi at a reasonable price. The service was a bit slow, maybe because we were in a private room, but it was nice to be able to eat slowly while chatting. The chawanmushi had mochi in it and was served hot.

I visited Miyagawa, located a 2-minute walk from Higashi Umeda. It was recommended by a gourmet friend, so I was looking forward to it. I reserved a private room in advance because I had a child. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The service was excellent, and everything I ate was delicious. The most memorable dish was the steamed rice cake. It was my first time trying it, and I wanted seconds. I also really liked eating tempura with curry salt and lemon salt, it was very refreshing. This is definitely a place I would like to use for a mom's gathering. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

We started with a toast of beer and ordered the "Japanese and Sushi Kaiseki" course priced at 8000 yen. I had a need to eat Japanese food and sushi with my friends, so I made a reservation and visited a restaurant. The restaurant is located near Oohata Tenjin and Rote Tenjin Shrine, in a building across from Yoshinoya. When you go up to the fifth floor, the atmosphere changes and the staff greets you. We ordered the "Japanese and Sushi Course"! The course included various dishes such as Nanbanzuke, Ohitashi, and Tsubugai as elegant appetizers. Then we had Mochi Chawanmushi and Tai sashimi. The sashimi was served with snow salt and sudachi, a new style of eating without soy sauce. Next, we had grilled Sawara and three types of tempura - Kisu, Ebi, and Shishito pepper. The recommended way to eat the tempura was with lemon, curry salt, or plain salt. The vinegar dish with Junsai was refreshing, followed by 6 pieces of sushi including Kanpachi, Aji, Amaebi, Hirame, Akami, and Toro. The meal also included Hosomaki with Kanpyo. They served red miso soup and after the meal, we had melon for dessert and matcha tea. The service was very polite and attentive. The restaurant satisfied both our Japanese food and sushi needs.

They have a counter where you can watch the chef prepare authentic sushi right in front of you. The atmosphere in the private room is perfect for a great date. They offer a variety of dishes, including sushi kaiseki courses. Some of the dishes you can enjoy are chawanmushi with three types of mochi, sashimi platter, grilled Spanish mackerel with yuzu, tempura, vinegared dish with red eggplant, flounder, sweet shrimp, horse mackerel, scallop, and more. There is no sign when you get off the elevator on the 5th floor, but if you head left after getting off the elevator, you will find 【Umeda Sushi Miyagawa】. The staff will welcome you and guide you to the upper floor with courteous service. We were guided to a spacious private room with a relaxing atmosphere, but there is also a counter available. We ordered the Japanese cuisine and sushi course (8,000 yen) this time. We started with a platter of three appetizers: Asari and white vegetable ohitashi, sea bream nanbanzuke, and simmered limpets. The visual beauty of the appetizers was captivating, and the quality of the flavors was impeccable. The taste was delightful from the very beginning. Next, we had the steamed mochi with warm ingredients. Looking from above, you could see flower-shaped gluten and mochi inside, giving a cute and lovely feeling. The steamed dish melted in the mouth, providing a warm and pleasant sensation on the palate. We also enjoyed the amberjack sashimi with salt and vinegar. The richness of the amberjack and its chewy texture were delightful. The grilled mackerel with miso was beautifully presented, and the slight bitterness blended with the umami flavor, creating an irresistible deliciousness. We also had a tempura platter with three varieties: kisu fish, shiitake mushrooms, and shrimp. Each tempura had a light and crispy coating without any greasiness, allowing the flavors of salt, curry salt, and lemon to shine through. A vinegar dish served as a palate cleanser, refreshing the mouth with its acidity. The main course of sushi (6 pieces + gourd roll + red miso soup) was a highlight. Each piece of sushi, from scallop to medium fatty tuna, had a unique taste and texture, leaving a long-lasting delicious aftertaste. The balance between the rice and toppings was exceptional. The meal concluded with red miso soup, fruits, and tea, showcasing exceptional hospitality. At the back of Ohatsu Tenjin, a large sign is the landmark. Take the elevator up to the 5th floor. Inside, the staff greeted us and guided us to a private room on the 6th floor. The sushi rice with red vinegar and the squid sushi were delicious. The chawanmushi was smooth and creamy, and the egg on the final sushi plate had a pudding-like texture and sweetness. I was able to enjoy my meal in a private room. The shabu-shabu of golden eye snapper was delicious when dipped in sauce with chopped green onions and dropped cabbage. The slight acidity paired well with the semi-raw golden eye snapper. The simmered fish in the small dish was soft and tasty, unlike the usual tough fish dishes. The sushi was plentiful, with the unique addition of ark shell sushi. This indicates the freshness of the shellfish. The only improvement could be smaller sushi rice portions. I left feeling full. The steamed rice cake was a hit for me. The sticky rice cake combined with the steamed egg custard was a delightful surprise.

You will definitely get lost if you rely on the map from Tabelog for directions. Just look for the sign of "Sushi Miyakawa" in front of the Torii gate. The restaurant has private rooms and a calm, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a date. The staff were quick and attentive, making the experience stress-free. The course included a variety of dishes such as appetizers, sashimi, sushi, hot pot, and dessert. The standout was the tai shabu shabu, which was fresh and delicious. With such a wide selection of dishes, the price of 6,000 yen including tax is a steal. It's hard to believe that such a high-quality meal was supervised by a famous chef at this cost performance.

After the long weekend, I had dinner in Umeda at a Japanese restaurant that my friend had made a reservation for. We took the elevator up to the 5th floor and then climbed the stairs to the 6th floor. The high-class atmosphere with a tall atrium was impressive. We were guided to a beautiful private room that had been renovated on May 3rd and still had the smell of new building materials. We ordered the "Japanese and Sushi Kaiseki (upper)" set meal, which included: - Three appetizers: duck and yam salad, seaweed vinegar with fine mozuku seaweed, and octopus and wasabi fishcake. - Sashimi: Kelp-cured sea bream served with matcha salt and sudachi citrus. - Sushi: Flounder, red tuna, squid with matcha salt, and medium fatty tuna. The sushi rice was slightly firm with red vinegar, and the size of the rice was just right. The red tuna was particularly delicious. - Small bowl: Salmon roe and shredded seaweed served with a small bowl of rice. - Steamed dish: I tried chawanmushi for the first time, which was a smooth and flavorful steamed egg custard with thin mochi and wheat gluten on top. - Hot pot: A portable stove was brought out with vegetables, shabu-shabu rice cakes, and golden threadfin bream. The broth was rich, and ponzu sauce was provided. - Second sushi set: Scallop, sweet shrimp, eel, and striped jack. The scallop was large and delicious, and the eel had a crispy skin and was thick. - Other dishes included gourd roll, red miso soup with seaweed, and a dessert of pineapple, strawberry, and orange. I enjoyed Kirin Ichiban beer, Harushika sake, and Alain Milliat's Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc. The Alain Milliat wine complemented the saltiness of the Japanese food with its grape sweetness.

I ordered the Kaiseki course meal for ¥12,000, which included various dishes such as Hoki shellfish and greens with yuzu pepper sesame tofu, grilled amberjack, and a sushi assortment. The meal was so satisfying and luxurious! Although I initially had trouble finding the restaurant, I eventually located it behind the elevator. Every dish was delicious, especially the sushi and grilled amberjack. I felt so happy and would love to eat here again! The restaurant has private rooms and a relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place for business dinners or special occasions!
