(First review) 2023/09/12 First visit. This is the 61st installment of my series where I eat and drink at restaurants that have liked my photos on Instagram. Here is what I ordered: [Food] - Spicy noodles + Large size + Extra boiled egg + Flavored egg (800 yen + 150 yen + 100 yen + 100 yen = 1150 yen. The spiciness level goes up to medium for free, and I ordered it at medium. Anything spicier like "Spicy" or "Extra Spicy" might be charged extra. I'm not good with spicy food, but even just drinking the soup wasn't too spicy, so I think it would be easy to eat even without the extra boiled egg. I feel like I could have handled medium spiciness, but normal was hot and spicy enough.) - Stir-fried pork and leek bowl (350 yen. I tried it as is, and I thought it would be better with some added flavor, so I ate it together with the extra boiled egg and soup from the spicy noodles, and it tasted really good. Instead of rice, having leeks with this dish was great. Rather than mixing the rice into the spicy noodles like a rice bowl, just eating them together was perfect.) [Drink] - Lemon sour (350 yen. It was hot, so I wanted a cold drink. There seemed to be a separate menu for drinks after having alcohol, so I was debating whether to order it after finishing the spicy noodles, but maybe next time.) The total was 1850 yen. Next time, I'm not sure if I'll go for the cold noodles or the limited edition... Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant for the first time during lunchtime. I arrived a little after 12 o'clock and was able to enter smoothly. I ordered the summer limited edition tomato spicy noodles, which was very spicy. I wanted to have rice as well, but they were already sold out, even though it was not long after opening. The interior of the restaurant was very hot, and I couldn't stop sweating. After about 15 minutes, my noodles arrived. The soup had a strong tomato flavor, which I enjoyed. I cannot comment on the spiciness, as my tolerance level is different, but overall, I really liked the ramen. However, I still wished I had rice. Thank you for the meal!

The nearest station is Honjo-azumabashi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line, a 10-minute walk away. I wanted to have lunch with Tanmen noodles at Fukuraken, but it seems like they have closed down, with the signboard removed and shutters closed. I had a feeling this might happen, but it's still disappointing. Not wanting to become a lunch refugee, I visited Soteiya, a place I was curious about for lunch. I bought a meal ticket, was shown to my seat, and found the interior quite cramped. When I handed over my meal ticket, I was recommended to try the mini rice, so I agreed. This time, I chose the spicy noodles, medium spicy (800 yen), and added a flavored egg (100 yen). The punk-style waitress was working hard alone, but the service was a bit slow. The noodles arrived in about 15 minutes. The spicy noodles seemed to be inspired by Miyazaki's spicy noodles, including the name. The soup had a garlic-flavored taste based on chicken bone soy sauce. I prefer it a bit thicker, but this was still good. The noodles were medium-thick straight noodles, which paired well with the soup. Perhaps it's because this is Tokyo, but they didn't use konjac noodles. It made me sweat, but it wasn't too spicy, so it was easy to eat. After finishing the noodles, I put the mini rice I received into the soup to make a porridge-like dish and finished everything. If you want to eat a slightly spicy ramen, this is a place worth considering. Thank you for the meal.

This is a ramen shop in Ishihara. I decided to stop by because the spicy noodles looked delicious as I was passing by on my way to Gotaniyu. I ordered the spicy noodles (medium spicy) and added extra garlic chives and a flavored egg as toppings. I was in the mood for garlic chives, so I added extra, but I wish there was a bit more (lol). Lately, I've been able to enjoy the Hokkyoku Ramen from Nakamoto, so I guess my tolerance for spiciness has increased, as the medium spicy noodles here were just slightly spicy. The soup was a light type without any stickiness. It was also delicious when I added some pepper or vinegar from the condiments on the table to change the flavor.

On a certain weekday around noon, I visited "Seiten-ya" in Ishihara. It was around 11:00 with no other customers present. As I entered the restaurant for the first time, I was greeted by a female staff member. It seems like the owner is a man according to reviews, but let's not dwell on that. I sat at the counter and ordered the Spicy Noodles (800 yen). It arrived in a few minutes and I dug in. The noodles were thin and straight with a good chewy texture. The soup was clear with a unique deliciousness from garlic and spiciness added to it. The toppings included a soft-boiled egg on top of the noodles with a little bit of chili pepper underneath. You can add more toppings according to the menu, but personally, I found the balance to be just right as it was. I slurped up the noodles to my liking. The default spiciness level was just right for me, not too mild or too intense. I enjoyed it and will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

Spicy noodles with extra minced meat and added spiciness. Of course, I also ordered rice, beer, and appetizers. The chashu was delicious. Today's appetizers were smoked scallops, seasoned egg, and burdock salad. I prefer Japanese beer over Carlsberg. The ramen was not too spicy even with added spiciness, but it was a bit salty for my taste.

A ramen shop that opened in Ishihara in October. It used to be a place where a izakaya served curry for lunch near Gotaniyu. I found out about it on Gogai Net and decided to check it out. When I went, there were no reviews on Tabelog yet, but now there are already 3. Ramen seems to be popular after all. The main dishes are spicy noodles and cold noodles, both priced at 800 yen. There doesn't seem to be any lunch specials, and extras like extra noodles or rice cost 150 yen, while extra spiciness costs 100 yen. In terms of lunch value, it's not the best deal. You have to buy a ticket at the machine at the entrance before ordering, and they only accept cash payments. I tried the regular spicy noodles. The interior, background music, and the atmosphere created by the owner and the female staff gave off a vibe of being into punk rock or bands. I sat at the counter, but it was a bit cramped as people passed behind me. The spicy noodles were more like Taiwanese ramen or Katsuura tantan noodles, with a clear soup base, spiciness from chili peppers, and a strong garlic flavor. The thin straight noodles were smooth, and the soup didn't have a strong presence, but the egg topping balanced it out nicely. However, in terms of spiciness, it wasn't that hot, so if you're looking for a really spicy noodle dish, this might not satisfy you. It was tasty with plenty of minced meat and chopped garlic for texture, but as a standalone dish, it felt a bit lacking. The amount of garlic was weak, and it ended up affecting me later in the day. It would be nice if there was more value for lunch. There are many high ratings on Tabelog, but the Google reviews are quite negative.

I heard that a new ramen place specializing in spicy noodles, large portions, and rice has opened nearby, so I decided to check it out. I arrived at 10:26 AM, just 5 minutes before the opening time. The staff kindly opened the door for me early, which I appreciated. I was really hungry and trying to hold back my stomach growls. This was my first time here, so I ordered the default option. Finally, I settled down and looked around the restaurant. The noodles from Kanosho Seimen looked great. The presentation of the dish was perfect. The soup paired well with the chives, very tasty. I'll definitely add extra chives next time. The garlic was coarsely ground and had a strong flavor that kicked in later. The noodles were firm and had a good chewiness, which I liked. Adding a dash of vinegar from the table condiments changed the flavor of the soup, making it more satisfying. To finish off, I added some white rice and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal! When I left the restaurant, the rain had stopped, and it was nice weather outside. I felt great, like a clear sunny day!

In the evening, feeling the autumn vibes, I decided to take a bike ride and explore a bit further. I crossed the Sumida River, turned back at the Arakawa River, and instead of the main roads, I enjoyed the small streets of Tokyo that I didn't know. I stumbled upon a shop with a serious-looking noren hanging in the autumn night. I was drawn inside and ordered the "spicy noodles" that stood out on the ticket machine. I asked the person who seemed to be the owner why it was empty, and they told me that the shop had just opened this month. The spicy noodles that arrived in a few minutes were not too spicy, and the firm noodles and somehow nostalgic soup filled my heart gently. I added a seasoned egg and a green onion rice bowl halfway through. The combination of this green onion rice bowl and the ramen soup was an exquisite marriage. With elaborate logos and menu, I thought it was a chain restaurant, but it turned out to be a shop created by the owner personally. I felt their dedication.

I did not have the recommended dish, but instead I had soy sauce. It was not something I had eaten much before, but it was delicious.

I had spicy noodles. It was not as spicy as it looked, with a mildly spicy taste similar to Taiwanese ramen, topped with a soft-boiled egg. It wasn't a strong, overpowering spiciness, but rather a subtle, enjoyable heat. I would like to try the mixed noodles next time. Thank you for the meal.
