In Tachikawa, a friend and I wandered around the restaurant area next to Takashimaya for dinner. We decided to eat at a restaurant here and tried the limited "August Ebisu Set". We enjoyed sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi, simmered dish, as well as seasonal dishes like hijiki edamame rice and chilled udon with sudachi. The food was delicious. We also had beer and did a sake tasting, which got us a little tipsy.

Lunch with my daughter after a long time - on our way back from shopping, we wanted to have Japanese food here. My daughter had the Gogatsu Ebisu Zen, and I had the Tai Chazuke Zen. The atmosphere is calm and we can enjoy our meal slowly. The staff is also very nice. The tea and shrimp senbei served at the beginning were delicious. The Tai Chazuke is lightly seasoned but very tasty, bringing out the flavor of the ingredients. The Chawanmushi is filled with ingredients and delicious. This place has a good adult atmosphere - I would like to visit again. Japanese food is always good. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I received a gift certificate for Utaandon and had a delicious meal there. I chose the winter recommendation, the grilled fugu steamed in a pot set meal. The small dish with yam was fluffy and delicious. The soup in the pot steamed with fugu was rich in flavor and delicious! I also want to try the clam dish next time. Thank you for the meal. #washoku #japanesestyle #gourmet #yummy #Japanese cuisine #Utaandon #pot steamed fugu #gourmet #Tachikawa gourmet #Japanese food #Japanese cuisine #Utaandon #pot steamed fugu #gourmet #Tachikawa gourmet

Visited the restaurant Kamigyoutou in the Isetan department store in Tachikawa. The restaurant was bustling during lunchtime. I visited alone and was seated at a spacious table for four. It was reassuring to see that they were seating customers with ample distance between tables. The menu mainly consisted of Japanese dishes such as rice bowls, udon, and soba, with seasonal matsutake mushroom dishes as well. I ordered the sashimi and tempura set meal. The main dish included a selection of sashimi, tempura, appetizers, simmered dish, chawanmushi, miso soup, and rice. The variety of dishes was plentiful and the flavors were delicious. The portion of rice was a bit small, so it would have been nice to have the option to choose a larger portion or get a refill.

I visited the restaurant called Utagyo Toyo in Tachikawa Isetan restaurant street for lunch. It is a Japanese restaurant with a calm atmosphere where you can relax. This time, I ordered the Matsukadou Bento. The small dishes included various types of dishes such as tuna sashimi, grilled yellowtail, simmered vegetables, tofu, shrimp tempura, mixed rice, udon noodles, and pickles. The flavors were elegant and delicious, and the shrimp tempura had a crispy coating which was enjoyable. I left feeling satisfied and full, and I would like to visit again in the future.

The reviewer went to a restaurant in the department store and ordered a dish with large prawns and seasonal vegetables. However, they found the prawns to be not so big and the vegetables included sweet potatoes, green shiso, and green beans. The dish also had tempura on top of rice, but the portion of rice was too large. Overall, the reviewer found the meal to be unsatisfying in terms of taste and portion size. The restaurant was empty, which made the reviewer feel uncomfortable, so they left quickly.

I often visit this restaurant with my elderly mother for lunch, and I find the food delicious. The eel rice bowl is very tender, and my mother enjoys it so much that she even eats the crispy skin. I usually go for the monthly special shrimp set meal. The atmosphere and food at the restaurant are great. However, on a recent visit for a family birthday celebration, when I asked for the complimentary drink using a coupon from Tabelog, the beer that used to be included was no longer available, leaving only orange juice or oolong tea. Before, they even offered coffee, but now that was gone too, followed by the beer. It may seem like just one beer, but it does make a difference. This kind of service change can lead to customers leaving. Because the beer was no longer included in the complimentary drink, our planned private room gathering at Ukiyo-e may need to be moved to a different restaurant.

A shop where you can use it with peace of mind. The staff are always polite, the tables are spacious, and you can have a relaxing meal. Whenever I'm unsure or the restaurant I wanted to go to is closed, I always come here!

This is also a shop in Isetan. This time, we sat by the window. It was wonderful with an open feeling! The seafood bowl, tempura, and udon were all delicious!

Five family members went to the restaurant. We had reserved a private room with a sunken hearth in advance. The children ordered a kids' meal, which included a plate of vegetable salad, shrimp tempura, meatballs, and rolled omelette. They also had three types of hand-rolled sushi, chawanmushi, udon (choice of hot or cold), and orange juice. For dessert, they had soft serve ice cream. The adults ordered the Yayoi meal, which was slightly lighter in portion but well-balanced and healthy. The meal included sakura shrimp tempura, mixed rice, and sea bream hot pot, all with a spring-like touch. We enjoyed the delicious meal and said thank you for the feast.

I was drawn to the "Komachi Zen" on the menu at a Japanese restaurant on the 8th floor of Tachikawa Isetan. It's easy to dine alone at restaurants in department stores or commercial facilities. The "Spring Komachi Zen" (1690 yen including tax) allows you to taste various dishes in small portions, which is popular among women. The tempura includes shrimp, eggplant, and green beans, all freshly fried. There are five small dishes and a chawanmushi. The sashimi is tuna, quite ordinary. The mixed rice contains chicken, burdock, and fried tofu, topped with sakura shrimp. It has a mild flavor that goes well with other dishes. The soup contains sardine fish balls and ?? fish balls, seasoned with dark soy sauce, but it's not as strong as it looks. It's actually quite delicious. The salad consists of vegetables. The simmered dish includes dried tofu, taro, carrots, and green beans, all lightly flavored but well-marinated. The bottom right corner has warabi mochi. While there were no standout dishes, the variety of items was enjoyable. Since it's in a department store, there were many solo female diners. The atmosphere is calm and not too crowded, making it a great place to relax alone.

Today, I felt like having Japanese food and decided to visit the elegant Japanese restaurant "Kagari" in Tachikawa. Established in Meiji 10, it used to be an udon shop. The name is said to be derived from a novel by the Meiji literary master, Kyoka Izumi. Located in the "Eat Paradise" restaurant area of Isetan near the north exit of Tachikawa Station, the exterior features a traditional Japanese style with a red curtain and a tiled roof, and the food samples in the showcase are appetizing. Upon entering, the interior is designed like a Japanese-style room with all seats being private or semi-private, creating a calm atmosphere for dining. I sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant (for 4 people) and looked at the menu. The seasonal dishes, seafood dishes, meat dishes, and hot pot dishes made with a variety of colorful seasonal vegetables give a sense of creative Japanese cuisine. After some deliberation, I ordered a draft beer for 670 yen and the Hida beef "shabu-shabu" for 3996 yen. As an appetizer, while enjoying a drink, the shabu-shabu arrived. Slices of Hida beef, Chinese cabbage, enoki mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, mizuna, carrots, tofu, and rice cakes were beautifully arranged on a large plate, accompanied by thick udon noodles, a pot of hot water, ponzu sauce, sesame sauce, and condiments. I first dipped the perfectly balanced Hida beef slices in the hot water, enjoying the rich flavor of the lean and marbled meat. The red meat umami was intense and delicious. I then added the meat and vegetables in sequence, not letting them overcook, and found that they were cooked just right, with the ponzu sauce being a perfect match. Finally, I enjoyed the udon noodles as a finishing touch. Although the noodles were average, the broth made from the meat and vegetables used in the shabu-shabu was delicious, making the overall experience satisfying. My overall impression was slightly disappointed that it was a hot plate (for boiling the pot), and the prices seemed a bit high. However, considering the quality of the Hida beef, the good service, and the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant, the prices seemed reasonable.

Originally, I was considering having a lunch buffet at the restaurant "Il Peppe," but these days I don't feel like eating a lot to justify the cost, so I decided to go to a Japanese restaurant on the 8th floor of the department store food court instead! (laughs) On this day, I ordered the "Mushroom Tempura Zaru Set" for ¥1,296 (tax included). The set included mushroom tempura, soba noodles, seasonal vegetable tempura, chawanmushi, matsutake mushroom rice, and various condiments. The portion sizes were small but the flavors were great, especially the soba noodles and the vegetable tempura. The matsutake mushroom rice was delicious even without upgrading to matsutake mushrooms. I especially enjoyed the different dipping sauces provided. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience and look forward to trying more new restaurants in the future.

In March, I went to Fuchu with my old friends for a gathering. My friend made the reservation, so I had no prior information. The restaurant was located in the Isetan restaurant area. The cost was 6,000 yen per person for a course meal and all-you-can-drink. It felt luxurious to have this in the middle of the day. The food was neither outstanding nor disappointing. Nothing really stood out. When I looked it up at home, I found out that this restaurant was established in the 10th year of the Meiji era. The company has various brands, and this restaurant seems to be their most popular one. Originally, they used to sell udon and soba. Well, in this case, the priority was more on enjoying the conversation rather than the food, so it can't be helped. Therefore, I would rate it as a 3 out of 5 (average). I probably wouldn't go there for a private meal.

Because it was snowing, I didn't feel like walking outside, so I went to Uta Andon in Isetan, directly connected from Tachikawa Station, for lunch. Maybe because of the snow, or maybe because it's a slightly upscale restaurant, even though it was 12 o'clock, only about 30% of the seats were taken. But there were various set menus to choose from, which made it fun. I don't remember the name, but I chose a set (2100 yen) that came with a small oyster hot pot. It included tempura, sashimi, pickled vegetables, chawanmushi, hot pot, and simmered fish and daikon radish, with a variety of dishes in small portions. But there was no skimping on quality - the tempura was crispy, the sashimi was fresh, and the chawanmushi was flavorful. The restaurant wasn't a private room, but it was divided into sections, which made it feel cozy. I plan to come back with my parents next time. Thank you for the meal!

This is a shop that no longer exists, next to Ajikichio in Tachikawa. After finishing my errands in Tachikawa, I was thinking about where to have dinner, and realized that I had never been here before. So, I decided to give it a try. When I entered the shop, I found it surprisingly spacious, with several semi-private seats separated by partitions. It was quite crowded, even though it was past 7:30 in the evening. I ordered the Pacific saury rice bowl set (I forgot the menu name), which included sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi, and tea-infused rice. The taste was, honestly, so-so. The tempura shrimp had a loose batter. I understand that it cannot replace Ajikichio, but I wish the quality could be improved. I can't recommend it, but if you sit by the window, you can enjoy the view of Tachikawa.

Last year, my husband and I went to Uta Andon to have some proper Japanese cuisine. We decided on this place because it is located inside Isetan, which always gives a sense of security. Since it was lunchtime, we opted for the "Crab Set Meal" which was on the lighter side. We ordered some hot sake to go with it, and they also served us tea and some tea snacks first, which was a nice touch to prevent us from drinking too much sake. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, with salmon and amberjack. The tempura was crispy and delightful, with crab claws, eggplant, shishito peppers, and pumpkin. The vinegar dish was refreshing with cucumber, crab, seaweed, shrimp, and jellyfish. The crab rice was just the right amount for a woman, with a chewy texture and a fluffy crab topping that was incredibly tasty. I could have easily had seconds of this crab rice. The chawanmushi had a strong dashi flavor, which was a bit overpowering, but it paired well with the creamy egg and was enjoyable. Afterward, I had coffee, but my husband was still hungry and ordered some udon. While I was completely satisfied with the Crab Set Meal, some men might find the portion size lacking in terms of volume, even though the flavors are good.

I visited Tachikawa for the first time and was unsure where to have lunch. My colleague recommended the restaurant called Uta Andon located inside Isetan. Inside the building, there were many dining options. I had a beer for 500 yen, followed by a sake tasting set for 1000 yen and a set of three appetizers for 350 yen. The sake tasting set included Yoshinogawa, Hakkaisan, and Urakasumi, with Urakasumi having the best aroma. The view from the window was fantastic, allowing me to see the cityscape of Tachikawa clearly and giving me a refreshing feeling.

I often use this restaurant, especially at night. It's recommended to go when you have time during the day as the service can be a bit slow. It may not be suitable to go during break times. At night, there are people coming for business entertainment, couples, and solo diners. The menu changes with the seasons, and many people enjoy pairing it with Japanese sake. The staff are mostly young and have a friendly attitude. It's easy to have a good time, even during business meetings. I recommend trying the Shiso dumplings, they were delicious! Be sure to give them a try.
