Andersen, a bakery chain originating from Hiroshima♪ I love it, and before starting using Tabelog, I used to buy from there often. But since starting with Tabelog, my purchasing frequency has decreased. In Tachikawa, there are Andersen stores in Lumine Tachikawa (currently ☆3.06) and Isetan (currently ☆3.15). The ratings for the two stores in Tachikawa are low on Tabelog, probably because they are chain stores, but both Andersen stores in Tachikawa have been very popular since I started using them over 10 years ago. There are always customers coming in. The low ratings may be because it is a popular store with a well-known name, so there may not be a need to post reviews intentionally. But I am a fan of Andersen Lumine Tachikawa store, so I keep revisiting and updating reviews♪ The Andersen store in Lumine Tachikawa is in the same location as before, even after the renewal of Lumine Tachikawa food floor. However, the interior layout has changed slightly. There is a large shared dining table (seats 8 people) where you can also use it as a cafe. Since the renewal of Lumine Tachikawa food floor, I have purchased from there three times this month alone. I am currently obsessed with the original products of Lumine Tachikawa store, such as the tomato, spinach, and carrot bread. I am weak for limited edition items and the carrot bread is just amazing! It is a bun with a diameter of about 10cm, fluffy and chewy. The tomato bread is not as fresh to me as I have bought it from other stores before, but the carrot bread is something I have never encountered before. Another item I keep repurchasing is the fairytale cookies♪ The fairytale cookies are produced by Andersen in Aoyama. There are four types: "The Pig Keeper Prince - Pig," "Thumbelina - Frog," "The Ugly Duckling," and "The Naked King." In June, they are planning to sell 5-6 types. The fairytale cookies are large and thick, giving a satisfying crunch. It's fun to have a bakery with a playful spirit, isn't it? ♡ *2015/5/29, ☆3.06 ------------------------------------------------682013/04/05 (visited in 2013/03): "Andersen Fairytale Turned into Bread" Ida-chan's Flower, Easter (Christian Resurrection Day) Bread At 9:55 am, Lumine Tachikawa is not yet open. There are many people passing through the 2F concourse in front of JR Tachikawa Station's ticket gate. The line of customers waiting for Lumine's 10 am opening is forming outside the 2F entrance of Lumine. Alright! 10 am! The opening call "Welcome"! As I entered Lumine, the staff in front of each store on the passage were standing and bowing to greet customers. It's a bit embarrassing when our eyes meet, isn't it? (laughs) I quickly went down from the 2F to the 1F on the escalator. The 1F is the food sales floor. There are famous sweet shops and deli shops near the escalator. Andersen is quite far back from the escalator's location, so regular customers who frequent the store know the location, but it may be a bit difficult for first-time visitors. However, it's not that hard to find! The narrow passage between Starbucks Coffee and Andersen is actually a passage to the restroom. Among the customers using the station building, there are quite a few customers using the restroom, so I think there are many customers passing by Andersen. (Lumine 1F floor map→http://www.lumine.ne.jp/tachikawa/map/) This time, I was the first Andersen customer in the morning. I was caught by the pop-up saying "March 31st is Easter" and when I entered the bakery, there were Easter mouse breads! They were chocolate breads. There were also hot cross buns, a Scottish Easter bread. I heard a voice saying, "The French bread has just been baked!" but this time, I decided to buy Easter bread like "Ida-chan's flower" inspired by Andersen's fairy tales. There are two Andersen stores in Tachikawa, and there is also Isetan Tachikawa store, but the Andersen I used to frequent about 10 years ago was the Andersen in the station building directly connected to the station (here). Isetan Tachikawa store is quite close to the station, but I was a bit lazy to walk around at that time (laughs), so I only used the Lumine store. Since starting using Tabelog, I have been exploring other bakeries, but Andersen ==========
