I visited the restaurant "Aji no Miyagawa" at the Tachikawa Garden Tables location with a rating of 3.06 on Tabelog. It is located in the dining area of Takashimaya in Tachikawa. The exterior features a large wooden sign that stands out. The interior has only table seating with a decent number of seats. There is also a branch in Ikebukuro on the rooftop of a department store. It was relatively quiet and convenient for reservations. I had a business meeting in Tachikawa, so we dined here. We ordered the grilled liver, deep-fried dashi tofu, eel bento box (large size), liver sashimi, and pickles. The Kanto-style eel was safe and reliable, steamed to be fluffy. The sauce was sweet and plentiful. The slightly firm rice was very delicious. The combination of eel, sauce, and rice was truly harmonious and very tasty. I think it's a good restaurant.

I took a day off and traveled to Kyoto, but had to go back to work on the 28th for the year-end closing. I was feeling tired after work, so I decided to have some eel for energy replenishment. Since my usual eel restaurant might be closed due to the year-end, I went to an eel restaurant inside Takashimaya instead. I ordered the "unaju" (grilled eel over rice) set. After about 20 minutes, the unaju finally arrived. To my surprise, it was a small portion of eel. When I tried it, I found that it was not grilled enough and the texture was not very pleasant. I could also feel quite a few small bones. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the unaju set. What I ate: Unaju set (grilled eel over rice) for 3740 yen.

"Amino Miyagawa (Tachikawa branch)" is an eel restaurant located in the restaurant area on the 9th floor of Takashimaya. There are also group stores in Kichijoji and Ikebukuro. I think there used to be "Isejo (Tachikawa branch)" in this place, but it seems to have been replaced without my knowledge. Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is not bad, with the background music of the koto playing, similar to the Kichijoji branch. I ordered the "Unagi Juubako (Special)" at this eel restaurant. The unagi juu was brought to me about 15 minutes after ordering, and when I tried it, it had a quite substantial texture. It lacked the elegant plumpness that can be felt in famous eel restaurants in Tokyo. Also, there were quite a few small bones left in the eel, which may bother those who are not fond of them. When I revisited the review of the Kichijoji branch, I found that the same thing was written there as well. Is this the policy of the group? On the other hand, the rice was mushy and not suitable for unagi juu, and the pickles were too strong and lacked elegance. The only redeeming quality was that the size of the liver in the liver dish was quite large. I couldn't find anything else to praise. By the way, the same thing was written in the review of the Kichijoji branch as well."

I entered the restaurant around 4 o'clock during idol time. The taste was average. There used to be a place called Isejo, an eel restaurant, but when I visited after a long time, it was gone and this new place had taken its spot. First of all, I felt that the prices were a bit high for the taste. And most importantly, there was not a single staff member who could provide service that matched the price. I immediately decided that I would never go back to this restaurant due to the lack of service.

I went to the Amino Miyagawa Tachikawa Garden Tables store in Takashimaya in Tachikawa. It was hot recently so I was wondering what to eat. I happened to see an eel restaurant and felt like eating it. The interior of the restaurant is calm and clean, quite spacious. This time, I ordered a set meal with eel on rice, tempura, chawanmushi, pickles, and soup. The eel on rice had a good amount and was delicious. The other items included were also tasty, but not outstanding. I was expecting something a bit more delicious, but it didn't quite meet my expectations.

This year, since I hadn't eaten eel in the summer yet, I decided to casually visit an eel restaurant located in the restaurant area of Takashimaya in Tachikawa. I ordered the Kikuzen set meal from the restaurant's specialty menu. Before the meal, I toasted with a Kirin Lager beer. The Kikuzen set meal includes eel on rice, sashimi, chawanmushi, clear soup, and pickles for 3672 yen. I thought the eel on rice portion was small, but it was actually quite filling. The eel was tender and the sauce was flavorful, especially with a sprinkle of sansho pepper. The sashimi, however, was a bit dry and rough. The clear soup was not liver soup, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the meal was quite filling and satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

I had two skewers of kimoyaki for 1,296 yen and the special deluxe eel rice bowl set (with eel liver, chawanmushi, and pickles) for 4,860 yen at a Japanese restaurant in Tachikawa, Tokyo. The restaurant, located on the northwest corner of the 9th floor of Takashimaya Tachikawa, is mainly focused on eel dishes. It opened on March 1, 2018, in the former location of Isejo. Although there are several branches of "Aji no Miyagawa" in Tokyo, this one is not related to the Tsukiji Miyagawa group. The company operating this restaurant is based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. I ordered the mentioned dishes and found that the eel rice bowl did not meet my definition of a good eel rice bowl, as the eel did not cover the rice when the lid of the box was opened. Overall, the restaurant had many points to criticize, but I will refrain from being too negative. I recommend this place only to those who have a forgiving heart.

I was watching Matsuko talking about eel on TV and suddenly craved it, so I ordered some for takeout. I poured plenty of sauce and sprinkled some sansho pepper on top... The eel was so tender, like rubber, and the meat easily fell apart. Is it supposed to be like this after some time? Thank you for the delicious meal!
