I visited a miso ramen restaurant called "Ramen Ajikita Honkomagome" on a weekday in August 2023, around 7 pm. Located just a 2-minute walk from Honkomagome Station, the restaurant had a cozy interior with two customers already seated. I chose the "Negi Miso Ramen" for ¥980 using the ticket machine. I sat at the counter and presented my ticket, then waited about 7-8 minutes for my meal. The ramen arrived with plenty of green onions, a large slice of chashu pork, seaweed, egg, and bean sprouts. I asked for freshly squeezed garlic, which they provided. The miso broth had a nice umami flavor, and the noodles were just the right thickness, complementing the broth well. The crunchy texture of the bean sprouts and green onions added to the enjoyable eating experience. The large seaweed could have been even better with rice on the side, which is apparently included if you arrive before 6 pm. The thick chashu pork had a satisfying size, but I wished it was a bit more tender and juicy. Adding the garlic gave the miso ramen a spicy kick, making it a wild and enjoyable dish. The boiled egg added a milder flavor to balance out the strong garlic taste. By customizing with chili oil, vinegar, and other condiments on the table, I was able to create my own perfect bowl of ramen. Despite the price of ¥980, the generous portion and quality of the miso ramen made it worth it. I left the restaurant feeling grateful for having a miso ramen spot near Honkomagome Station and looking forward to visiting again.

It was Ramen Day, so a friend and I got our miso ramen tickets a little after 6 o'clock. While chatting and waiting, our bowls arrived quickly. Miso ramen isn't my favorite, but it was delicious! The best part was the incredibly tasty chashu! They offer garlic if you ask, so I added it after finishing a third of the bowl. I crushed two cloves of raw garlic with a garlic press and enjoyed it until the end! Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant on the third day of its opening. For the first three days, their miso ramen, which is usually 830 yen, was only 500 yen! It felt like a pre-opening special. The ramen came with thick slices of chashu pork and a seasoned egg, and the miso flavor was delicious. The young Vietnamese couple running the restaurant worked seamlessly together. Their efficient movements may even surpass those of Japanese workers. I could sense their earnest dedication to their work.

Miso dipping noodles. It was my first time trying this flavor, but it was quite delicious.
