In March of this year, the popular yakiniku restaurant "Mikazuki" in Nara Prefecture opened a branch in Osaka. Meat lovers have been visiting eagerly, and I decided to check it out for a girls' meat-eating party! The nearest station is Ogomachi Station, and inside Rokubako Yokocho in Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street, you can find Mikazuki by going further in. This location is called "Betten". The first floor and second floor have different systems. On the first floor, the owner himself grills the meat at the counter, while on the second floor, it's a yakiniku style omakase course for 10,000 yen. The course includes sparkling wine for a toast, a kimchi assortment, harami yukhoe, salt-grilled thick tongue, harami, kalbi, tetchan, tongue, mino, tare-grilled harami, kalbi, lamb loin, Mikazuki-grilled misuji, uchihira, and cold noodles. The kimchi included unique items like water eggplant and rakkyo, which I don't usually eat, but I enjoyed them that day. The harami yukhoe, with Nara pickles, was irresistible. The grilling style included salt for mino and plum for a unique touch. The rare-grilled harami was wrapped in roasted seaweed and handed to us by the staff, which was exciting for rare meat lovers. The tare-grilled harami, kalbi, and lamb loin were large portions with a thick cut, a specialty of Mikazuki. The staff grilled the uchihira and misuji, which we dipped in egg for a delicious finish. Finally, the refreshing cold noodles with firm noodles and soup. The counter on the first floor is fully booked months in advance, so we made a reservation for May and got a spot in December. I'm really looking forward to it! Thank you for the feast. Mikazuki Betten Osaka, Osaka City, Kita Ward, Tenjinbashi 3-5-14, Rokubako Yokocho.
