The "denkushi" here is really delicious. It costs 50 yen per skewer. The sauce is flavorful and each skewer is evenly coated, so there are no inconsistencies in taste. The other menu items were also good, but this denkushi is so delicious that I want to keep going back to eat it again and again.

This shop, which seems to have a chain nationwide, was not aware of it and thought it was just a regular izakaya in Shinbashi because I often saw it in SNS ads. I was surprised to see that the draft beer was surprisingly cheap. Did they make a mistake? I decided to order a glass of draft beer (190 yen) anyway. A normal draft beer came out. They also had a specialty dish called "Grilled Chicken Skin Skewers". It seemed like a version of just the skin of chicken wings. Each skewer was only 50 yen, which was incredibly cost-effective. There were four of us, so we ordered a large pyramid of skewers. The chicken skin had a slightly sweet and crispy texture that went well with beer. The large pyramid disappeared in an instant, so we ended up ordering an additional 36 skewers (which was a bit excessive, haha). We also ordered various other dishes, and while the taste didn't exceed the level of a chain izakaya, the cost performance was great. It was still early in the evening on a weekday, so there weren't many customers, but the speed of service for both drinks and food was fast. I think this is a wallet-friendly option for salarymen working in the Shinbashi area.

Under the railway bridge in Shinbashi, there is a shop where you can taste various dishes from all over the country. I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but personally, I found the half-cooked liver skewers to be delicious. It was my second stop so I didn't order much, but the dishes and drinks all looked delicious. I enjoyed the meal.

I visited a restaurant in a secluded area in the new era. I arrived right at 5:00 when they opened, and I was the only customer along with the busy staff. I ordered a draft beer, edamame, and some skewers. However, the appetizer (pictured) was the most delicious. I won't go into detail about the food and menu since others have already shared a lot, and there are many options at the New Era. The location is somewhat like a semi-basement with the noise of trains in the background, which might be just right for those heading home after a drink. It's a bit cramped for large groups, so I think it's best for 1-2 people.

Recently, I have been visiting a yakitori restaurant more often. As soon as we sit down, everyone orders yakitori along with their drinks. The pyramid-shaped arrangement of about ten skewers disappears in no time. The combination of the texture and the sweet sauce is undeniably delicious. I also tried the spicy red yakitori this time, which was marinated in garlic chips and chili oil. It was quite a stimulating dish. I decided to try the Sichuan-style "saliva chicken" for the first time today. It had cucumber, green onions, sliced chicken, and a unique flavor that seemed to go well with wood ear mushrooms. Perhaps due to the crowd, the drinks arrived quickly, but the food took longer to be served today.

I had curry for dinner, so I visited this place for a light drink. I'm on a business trip alone, so it's convenient to have a place where I can easily drop in. It seems like there are few staff members as it took a while for someone to come and take my order even after pressing the button. After a while, I ordered 10 skewers and a draft beer. I also ordered the quick menu item, quail eggs. The speed at which the draft beer was served was incredibly fast. It took a while for the skewers to arrive, but they were consistently delicious. Whether eaten as is, with a sweet sauce, or with a spicy seasoning, the crispy skin of the skewers pairs well with any flavor. I had an additional draft beer and left. It was satisfying to be able to drink cheaply and quickly. Thank you for the meal.

"The new era is at Nare Shinbashi store" Just a 1-minute walk from Shinbashi Station (lol) I went to the affiliated store near the previous Denkushi I visited! I thought, is there anything different? So I went to check it out!! The conclusion is... nothing has changed (lol) If I had to say, the interior is a bit stylish! Of course, I had the famous Denkushi, and also tried the Miso Dengaku I had last time, but this time I'll show you a different photo ☺️ The chicken Yukke is the best‼️ The egg is rich, the chicken is tender and fresh, and the karaage is large in size‼️ Very satisfying size✨ Lastly, the Taiwan-style tofu!! It's slightly spicy, so the alcohol went down smoothly. The cost performance is good, so I couldn't help but order more (lol) #NewEra #NewEra Shinbashi Nare Store #ChickenYukke #Yukke #KaraageLover #TaiwanStyleTofu #ShinbashiGourmet #NotGoodWithSpicy #LoveSpicy

I visited this shop in a local area and got hooked on the soy spice, so I ended up coming to this shop in Shinbashi as well. The price of chicken skin was 50 yen in Okazaki, but 90 yen in Shinbashi, so there is quite a price difference. Even so, I thought it was relatively cheap in Tokyo, but of course, other prices are different too. It's obvious that if the rent of the store changes, the breakeven point also changes, and the profit structure needs to be adjusted. So I thought the prices were okay. The soy spice is really excellent with the chicken skin, and it makes you want to come here just for that. However, considering the overall prices, I wondered if it's really worth going all the way to Tokyo.

By chance, I finished work in Shinbashi and decided to have a light drink with my colleagues. While walking, I spotted an izakaya under the elevated train tracks and decided to go in. The atmosphere inside was that of a typical casual pub. It seemed like their specialty was chicken skin skewers. We ordered the famous chicken skin skewers (called "denkushi" in Japanese), as well as some fried chicken and other recommended dishes like grated radish bones and grilled chicken liver with pepper. The denkushi was delicious as expected, and the fried chicken was also quite tasty. The staff seemed to be foreigners, but they were very friendly and energetic. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

Under the train tracks in Shinbashi, there are three chain stores of Shinjidai (trademark) specializing in skewers. I ordered skewers to go, with white skewers priced at 380 yen for 5 in-store, but 90 yen each for takeout, and red skewers priced at 450 yen for 3 in-store, but 150 yen each for takeout. I found it puzzling that there was no additional charge for takeout, resulting in this price difference. After a 15-minute wait, I brought the skewers scented with ginseng-based sauce onto the train and enjoyed them at home. The red skewers were flavorful and allowed me to savor the taste of the white skewers, but I found it challenging to adjust their firmness and reheat them for takeout.

I like the skin of yakitori. I came here with a colleague because the specialty here is the skin. They also have oden. I tried the famous skewers, but personally, I prefer skin that is moist and elastic, while here it was fried to a crisp. Oh well. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the main store nearby, but I also want to try the branch "Hanare". The specialty here is "Densuki" (chicken skin skewers) which can be taken home as a souvenir. There is no counter, so we sat at the 2-seat area near the entrance. We started with a white hoppy set and the appetizer was bean sprout namul. We took home red and white Densuki skewers, and also ordered chicken sashimi for 590 yen. It was delicious and safe choice, similar to what we had at the main store. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which was much appreciated.

From the first day at Shinbashi, I went straight to the underpass for some skewers (chicken skin) at 55 yen each. Cutting back on these is impossible... #Skewers #NewSkewerEra #ShinbashiUnderpass #ShinbashiGourmet

"Dorayaki, Red Chicken Liver Sashimi, Nori Tempura with 10 times the seaweed. The Dorayaki turned out to be just regular chicken meat, which was disappointing as it lacked any texture."

The opposite side, 44, was full and we couldn't get in. This restaurant, on the other hand, is always busy but we can usually get in without waiting. We ordered various items from the menu that we haven't tried before. The cost performance is excellent.

Reasonably priced izakaya that serves crispy chicken skin skewers with a rich sweet and savory sauce. The pepper adds a nice kick and guarantees that the alcohol will go down smoothly haha. They also have a variety of other delicious menu items. It's quite tasty!

The crispy and chewy chicken skin skewer is only 50 yen per skewer! The taste is almost like it's from Yamachan!

On Friday at 7pm, I met up with a colleague at the restaurant, but the place was empty and there were no staff in sight. When a staff member finally appeared, they explained in an unapologetic tone, "We only have 2 people working right now, so it may take some time for your drinks and food to be served, but if that's okay with you." It's hard to believe that a restaurant would only have 2 staff members on a Friday night.

The strongest denkushi just can't be stopped! Honestly, with denkushi and beer alone, I can have a fun time drinking until around 2am! It's so delicious that I end up ordering a lot, and even though there's still some left, I feel like I can eat more so I end up ordering more - that's something to be careful about! It's best when eaten hot!
