This summer was so hot, yet I hadn't eaten cold noodles. It was a close call as we're almost into autumn, but I made it in time. The restaurant was almost empty, so I decided quickly, but honestly, I was a bit disappointed. I know making good cold noodles is difficult, but it felt like something was missing. The price was a bit high too, so maybe I had set my expectations too high.

I had lunch at a restaurant inside Marui, but it was already 2:30 pm and it was an unusually hot day for May, so I didn't feel like going outside yet. I decided to have some ice cream to cool off before heading home, so I went to this place on the same floor. I had the Strawberry Soft Serve Milk and Kinako Sweet Potato flavors. I can't remember the exact price, but the total was just under ¥2000. The ice cream had a soft, fluffy texture like snow powder. Both flavors were generously drizzled with syrup on the surface and bottom, but I wish they had also added some syrup in the middle. It would have made it even more delicious. It was a bit too sweet for my liking, but I think kids would enjoy it. Overall, the generous sweetness and soft texture, along with the large portion, helped me forget about the heat, so I was somewhat satisfied. They have a wide variety of menu options, from meals to desserts, so you could easily have a full meal at this place. It's definitely a good option for dessert in Kinshicho, so I will probably visit again in the future.

I visited around 2pm on a weekday. There were a few other customers, but the tables were spaced out so I could enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I had the five-ingredient stir-fried noodles with thick sauce and black sugar sweet red bean soup. The stir-fried noodles had plenty of ingredients and the sauce was very delicious. The black sugar sweet red bean soup had a chewy texture of agar jelly with black sugar flavor, kinako-flavored ice cream, red bean paste, kinako, beans, and chestnuts, offering a variety of textures and flavors that were also delicious.

I had some errands to run at Marui, and while I was there, I was looking for something sweet. I stumbled upon this shop and decided to check it out. It was around 3 pm on a Monday, and there were only three customers inside. I was seated at a table for four. They had a few traditional Japanese sweets, but I decided to order the Black Sugar Agar Sweet Potato Matcha Parfait. It came with chestnuts, Shine Muscat grapes, matcha soft serve ice cream, red bean paste, sweet potato, black sugar agar, and rice flour dumplings. It was quite a generous portion. I had a relaxing time enjoying my dessert.

It's hot so I wanted to eat shaved ice, so I came to Azabu Chaho. It's been decades since I last had shaved ice ^_^ I usually have Cream Shiratama Zenzai, but today I had shaved ice. It was delicious but it was too cold in my mouth (><) It was satisfying with a good amount of volume. ^_^

I visited Azabu Chaho in the Marui shopping mall in Kinshicho, which is a restaurant and cafe. It had been a while since I last visited. You can enjoy casual Japanese sweets here. I ordered the Cream Sweet Potato with red bean paste. It consisted of warm sweet potato topped with cold soft serve ice cream and red bean paste. The soft serve ice cream was average, but the sweet potato was a bit dry and the red bean paste was too sweet, so the balance wasn't great. The coffee was decent. Overall, the atmosphere felt like a family restaurant (maybe due to the location) and the service was also typical of a family restaurant. Some customers were quite loud, using the place almost like an izakaya in the middle of the day. I feel like the experience was different from when I visited other branches in the past.

My friend suddenly moved from Yokohama and contacted me saying she was coming to Sano Miso Shop for shopping, so we decided to have a girls' night out on the last Valentine's Day of the Heisei era! We gathered at 5:30 after work to have a light meal together. There were three of us, and we usually love Azabu Chabo in Koto, but it has become smaller in size. This is my third time coming to the Marui store in Kinshicho, and the taste is still the same as Azabu, but I actually prefer the interior atmosphere here. The spacious booths make it comfortable to sit anywhere. I ordered my favorite menu, the Five-Ingredient Ankake Yakisoba, while my friends had beer, appetizers, and desserts. The taste of the Yakisoba had changed from the last time I came, which was disappointing, but the atmosphere was still nice. The tea refill service was good, and it was a perfect time for a light dinner. My friends enjoyed their beer and appetizers. They resisted their favorite sweets as we saw off our friend back to the station to return to Yokohama. Now, onto the next stop for our "noodle crawl"!

During the daytime on a weekday in September 2018, the restaurant was not very crowded, possibly because it was afternoon tea time. I decided to have a meal here and ordered the following:
- Chilled tantanmen noodles: The soup matched well with the simple ingredients such as chicken, cucumber, menma, and shrimp. The noodles were ordinary store-bought fresh noodles, but they had a home-cooked taste which was good.
- Japanese-style Bavarois parfait with matcha and kinako: Personally, I did not like it. It was too sweet and made me feel nauseous. The combination of Bavarois and whipped cream at the bottom created an overly sweet and sickly taste. However, it might appeal to those who really love sweet treats. I made a mistake by choosing the most expensive item on the menu out of greed. My fault.
Service: They were attentive and kept refilling my tea. They also handled my change of order with a smile, which was great.
Atmosphere: Surprisingly, it was a hidden gem. Despite it being tea time, there were hardly any customers, so you could relax and enjoy your time. Moreover, you can bring a baby stroller inside, making it a welcoming place for families with children.

When meeting in Kinshicho, I happened to go shopping in a building (Marui) and found this restaurant. It's no surprise that there are many customers being in Marui, and I imagine the rent must be quite high. I used it during lunchtime, and the food I ordered was quite elegant and delicious. The staff's customer service was excellent, very polite. Surprisingly, the seats were also designed to be spacious, so I could relax and have coffee after lunch. I would like to visit again when I go to Kinshicho.

"Located between the central escalator and the restroom at the Nishi-Kasai Marui on the 7th floor, I decided to visit after seeing the tower-like display of soft serve sweet potato ice cream. However, when I looked at the menu, I changed my mind to get a cream soda instead. It has been a while since I had cream soda, and it was delicious as usual."

【Reason for visit】I went to Marui in Kinshicho today to find lunch. I looked at the menu displayed outside the store and decided on a dish that I felt like eating.【Visit time】August 15th (Wednesday) around 11:05 AM【Number of customers】0 people【Ordered dish】Chicken minced bowl set【Reason for ordering】I wanted to eat the dish I saw on the menu outside the store.【Preparation time】About 5-6 minutes【Contents of the set】Chicken minced bowl, salad, clear soup, pickles【Eating experience】The chicken minced bowl had a decent taste of chicken and umami, but lacked the fragrance and flavor of ginger. The ground texture was medium and the seasoning was slightly sweet and savory with just the right amount of saltiness. The scrambled eggs were lacking in umami and had a prominent sweetness from sugar. The rice was of normal firmness and slightly fluffy. The clear soup had a weak kombu flavor and was slightly under-seasoned. The salad had a crunchy texture and was refreshing with a good touch of salted kelp. Overall, the meal was decent. Thank you, Azabu Tea Room.

I entered this shop because all the cafes were crowded. The interior has a Japanese-style taste and the atmosphere is quite nice. The staff's customer service is solid and pleasant. I ordered a "hot coffee" and a Japanese dessert called "cream sweet potato with black honey and soybean flour." The hot coffee was served in a cup with a Japanese pattern, and the milk and sugar were in containers with a Japanese touch. Nowadays, cafes usually have portion milk and sugar sticks, but this place feels like an old-fashioned coffee shop from the Showa era. The cream sweet potato with black honey and soybean flour has soft serve ice cream on top of sweet potato, with black honey and soybean flour sprinkled on it. The sweet potato is warm, and when eaten with the cold soft serve ice cream, it is very delicious. The sweet potato is not too sweet, so I felt the balance with the soft serve ice cream was good. The cost performance is not the best, but overall, I want to come back for the atmosphere, customer service, and desserts. Next time, I want to come with my female friends. By the way, they also have light meals available.

I felt like having something sweet in Kinshicho, so I stopped by Azabu Chaho Marui Kinshicho store. This is a chain dessert shop with many locations not only in Japan but also overseas. The store is located on the 7th floor of Marui Kinshicho. Marui is located just a 3-minute walk from Kinshicho Station South Exit, right in front across the Kyobashi Road. Depending on the traffic lights on Kyobashi Road, it took less than 3 minutes to walk from the station to Marui. The interior of the store has an antique feel with a calming atmosphere, overall decorated in a Japanese style. Although Azabu Chaho is known for its sweets, they also offer a variety of meal options such as noodles and set meals. They also have a selection of drinks including beer and various appetizers like edamame, fried chicken, gyoza, and salads. I ordered the Cream Sweet Potato with black honey and soybean flour. The Cream Sweet Potato had a base of sweet potatoes topped with a generous amount of soft serve ice cream, along with plenty of soybean flour and black honey drizzled on top. The combination of the earthy sweet potato base and creamy ice cream was delicious. I also tried a bite of the Matcha Cream Anmitsu that my companion ordered. The anmitsu was very sweet, even sweeter than the bitterness of the matcha. It's a taste that would appeal to those with a sweet tooth. Both dishes were quite filling and satisfying. I would like to try other menu items next time.

(First review) 02/08/2018 First visit. The genre on Tabelog is listed as a dessert shop, but it seems they also have various meal options. Here is what I ordered:
[Dishes]
- Choose your dessert set (Soba and dessert for 1500 yen. I chose Ebi-Ten Soba and Cream Sweet Potato Cinnamon Coffee Chocolate. I don't consider this place a soba shop, so the soba itself was just okay. However, the Ebi-Ten was freshly fried and delicious. The Cream Sweet Potato had a cream on top, so it was sweet because of that, but the potato itself tasted mostly like sweet potato. The cream and chocolate were tasty. The coffee didn't have much of a presence. I personally would have preferred if there was no cinnamon, but that's just a matter of preference.) Thank you for the meal.

Marui Kinshicho store's Azabu Tea Room on the 7th floor. A Japanese-style dessert cafe operated by "Kabushiki Kaisha Amaya" established in 1979. In addition to sweets, they also offer udon and soba, giving it a casual family restaurant vibe. They also have a small selection of alcoholic drinks. Like other stores on this floor, you can get a 5% discount by presenting your Epos card. The closing time seems to be earlier than other stores. I visited alone on a weekday after 8 pm. The restaurant has over 50 seats, but the female server was handling everything alone, probably because there were few customers. For every small dish ordered, you can get an alcoholic drink for 370 yen. For example, a medium draft beer is usually 500 yen, so it's a good deal. Fried dumplings (3 pieces): 320 yen, Draft beer (medium): 370 yen (usually 500 yen), Grilled chicken meatballs with teriyaki sauce: 450 yen. The draft beer is Kirin Ichiban Shibori in a medium-sized glass. It has a fine foam and a nice coldness. The fried dumplings are crispy and served with salt. They have a bit of meat inside. A perfect beer snack. The grilled chicken meatballs are two oval-shaped pieces with plenty of pepper seasoning. They come with a soft-boiled egg, but the yolk was a bit too solid, which was a bit disappointing. I wanted to order another drink to go with the grilled chicken meatballs, but I couldn't find the server, so I gave up.

Slow lunch. Other shops are in idol time. Marui's restaurant floor is convenient because there is no break time. Moreover, the lunch menu is available until 5 pm. I ordered the tanuki soba and mini oyakodon for 1000 yen including tax. This time, I resisted the temptation of ordering the lunch beer for 300 yen. Good for me! The lunch arrived. The tanuki soba had fried tempura flakes, along with wheat gluten, snow peas, seaweed, shiitake mushrooms, and trefoil. It looked quite luxurious as I had only expected tempura flakes. The dipping sauce was sweet and salty with a slight acidity. What is this acidity? It said it was like a teahouse style, could that be it? The oyakodon, advertised as mini, was actually a regular portion. It was slightly salty probably due to using the same broth. Overall, it was worth around 800 yen. The extra 200 yen was probably for the high Marui tenant fee. It was a quiet time, so I could enjoy a leisurely meal. Sometimes, this kind of place is nice too.

The dessert and yakisoba set costs 1590 yen, which may be a bit pricey for the portion size. It's not a Chinese restaurant, but more of a sweet shop. The interior is calm and not like a department store. The staff provides elegant service, making it a relaxing experience. The menu offers a variety of options, such as parent and child rice bowl set for 1000 yen, and dessert set for 1590 yen. Considering it's a sweet shop, the taste is satisfactory. People seem to come here more for the sweet treats than for meals. Thank you for the relaxing time.
