Cheerful in cheap room
During peak hours, it is often difficult to make a reservation. Therefore, I recommend calling early to plan ahead. However, sometimes cancellations open up availability, so don't give up after just one call. The options are "soy sauce," "miso," "curry," and "salt flavor." I've only tried "soy sauce" and "miso," but the soup is amazing. They serve two flavors for two people, so with four people you can try two flavors, six people can try three flavors, and eight people can try all flavors. Even though I've been a few times, I always end up choosing "soy sauce" and "miso." Next time, I'll try the curry. It's a hotpot, so the combination of ingredients and soup is key, especially since the soup is so delicious you'll want to drink it all. However, the "finale" is also amazing, so hold back (they will add more soup if needed). Now, the "finale" is when the owner of the restaurant makes rice porridge while skillfully mixing in eggs. His performance is entertaining, with plenty of flattery that gets everyone laughing. With two pots, you can try both the rice porridge and simmered udon, which is another delight. The fried chicken wings served before the hotpot are also quite tasty. For dessert, fresh fruits are served, including homemade strawberries, which are excellent. Besides the owner, a kind and elegant lady serves you, who happens to be his wife. It's like "Beauty and the Beast." There are also children's artwork displayed throughout, adding a charming touch. It's a shame that the place gets so crowded that reservations become difficult, but it's understandable. Be sure to try it out at least once. It's rare to find a hotpot with such elegance and quality.
