Saturday in Shinbashi. It was more crowded than I had expected. The restaurant we went to was also bustling, possibly because they had private rooms. This time, I visited with a reservation for seats only that my friend had selected. I must say, it was better than ordering a course meal and just enjoying your favorite food and drinks. We arrived at the restaurant without getting lost from Shinbashi. We used a coupon for a free drink to toast. We couldn't choose the type of alcohol, but it was champagne, so it was fine since it was free. The appetizer was something like bean sprout namul served in a pot. It was tasty, but when I saw the receipt, I realized they charged us 510 yen per person. Expensive! But it was delicious, so I guess it's okay. Still, it was more expensive than the "Grilled Chicken Thigh" that we ordered this time. The ordering process was done on a mobile phone. Unlike a previous restaurant where we had to manually input our order, here we just had to select items from the menu, which was easier. However, it was a bit troublesome to get used to the screen. But considering there were probably only 2 staff for customer service that day, using the mobile phone was probably faster than calling a staff member. We ordered a total of 8 dishes and 11 drinks, including: - Grilled Chicken Thigh with Sea Salt - Cucumber Tataki - Deep-Fried Sand Lance Fish - Avocado with Salted Kombu - Deep-Fried Chicken with Sea Salt - Special Kyushu Sashimi Assortment - Hakata-style Okonomiyaki - Chicken Breast Prosciutto The Cucumber Tataki was refreshing and perfect for the mood that day. It had a nice plum flavor. The Deep-Fried Sand Lance Fish and Avocado with Salted Kombu were new to me but surprisingly delicious. The Grilled Chicken Thigh with Sea Salt was recommended by the staff and came with various condiments like "Kyoto Gion Genryu Kuro Shichimi" and others. It took quite a while for this dish to be served. The Deep-Fried Chicken with Sea Salt was juicy and not greasy, very tasty. The Special Kyushu Sashimi Assortment was a good choice for drinking. The Chicken Breast Prosciutto was light and tasty, something I hadn't tried before. We ordered the Hakata-style Okonomiyaki as the final dish. They had a mini size option for a cute price of 350 yen. Since we didn't order a course meal, there was no 2-hour time limit for our seating, which was nice for a private setting. If it were a business setting, the 2-hour limit would be better. Ordering what you like, drinking, and spending a little over 4,000 yen per person was worth it. Looking at the contents of the course meal, ordering a la carte might give a higher satisfaction level.
