I visited a hidden dining spot that recently opened in Shinbashi. The kitchen is open and you can see the cooking process. The popular menu items are chicken dishes and hot pot, but the daily specials also include fish, seasonal dishes, and home-style cooking. The Chinese-style roasted pork was amazing! The marinated octopus and tomato dish was also delicious. The chef is skilled in both Japanese and Western cuisine, so I always look forward to the dishes. I plan to try the hot pot next time. Lunch service starts this weekend!

This is the delicious hamburger omelette rice at Nabe-ya in Shinbashi. This restaurant only operates for lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The hamburger is fluffy and very tasty. The omelette rice that goes well with it is also quite good. And all of this for 980 yen, no complaints. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Located a 5-minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station (Ueno exit), this restaurant offers counter and sunken kotatsu table seating. They serve a variety of sake and a great izakaya lunch menu. I tried the pork belly fried and simmered hamburger set (980 yen). The hamburger with juicy demiglace sauce was delicious, and the crispy fried pork was light and easy to eat. The portion size was just right, and I left feeling very satisfied. It seems like a great place to visit for dinner as well.

It's been a while dining out! Nabe-ya in Shinbashi! My father passed away and things have been hectic, so I finally made it to the farewell drink with a coworker that I was supposed to go to last week! I decided to go to a restaurant by myself to relax. Nabe-san is truly a genius! I tried the meat course for the first time, and it was packed with delicious dishes! For only 3280 yen, I got: - Appetizers (small potatoes, spicy cod roe tofu) - Assorted sashimi - Tempura - Tsukune soup - Pork belly volume salad - Grilled shingen chicken - Rib roast steak It was amazing value! I ended up oversleeping on the train ride back and woke up at Keikyu Kawasaki station! I must have been really tired! I couldn't make it back and only got as far as Oimachi station, so I had to take a taxi back home. Looking back, I definitely drank too much! Beer → brought a bottle of white wine → highball → highball → highball → Juyondai Sake Cheers to that!

Hidden dining on the second floor in the middle area between Shinbashi, Akarenga-dori, and Yanagi-dori. It was introduced in a walking magazine and has been featured on social media, but it has been over 5 years since its opening. There are three different "Today's Lunch Menu" options displayed, separate from the official lunch menu, each priced at 980 yen. The restaurant had 4 table seats with 3 groups of guests (6 people in total) already seated. When I tried to sit at the counter, I was directed to a table that felt isolated. Despite wanting to order the popular "Nabeya Special Hamburg Steak" listed on the menu, the orders of the previous guests were still pending, causing me to wait for my turn. After waiting for over 3 minutes, I placed my order, only to be told, "We will make it in order, so it will take some time," which felt like a death sentence. Even after checking the quickest menu items, there was not much of a difference, so I stuck to my original choice. The other guests were engaged in discussions about insurance policies and were loud, while I waited with my mask on, in competition with the 5 unmasked individuals. After 20 minutes, the first dish, Hashed Beef, arrived for the earliest guest, revealing that the Omelette Rice was still delayed. Finally, after approximately 30 minutes of waiting, the long-awaited "Hamburg Steak" was served. The chopsticks were placed directly on the tray, washed with cold water. There were no condiments on the table, and the staff had to grate Parmesan for me. The melted Parmesan on the grilled Hamburg Steak was flavorful, but it was not piping hot, making it easy to eat. The counter seats were all occupied, so I quickly paid as the first customer of the day, discovered the QR code after the transaction, and left after 37 minutes. Including the time spent looking for hand sanitizer, I ended up being late for my afternoon shift.

A friend who is a foodie recommended this restaurant to me. They only serve lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, limited to 20 servings! The location is on the second floor of a building a couple of doors down from Nagasaki Street. Lunch used to be 620 yen, but now it's 980 yen. The menu includes three options: Special Hamburg Steak, Chicken Karaage and Stewed Hamburg Steak, and Omelette Rice with Stewed Hamburg Steak. I arrived at 12:30 and the Karaage was already sold out, so I went with the Hamburg Steak. It came with rice, miso soup, pickles, and cold tofu. The Hamburg Steak was served in a set meal, and they finish it off by grating Parmesan cheese right in front of you. The Hamburg Steak was crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and had a delicious flavor. The sauce went perfectly with the freshly cooked rice. The miso soup was hearty and comforting with lots of ingredients. A regular customer requested gratin, and the chef said he might make it tomorrow. I would love to try it next time. I'm sure dinner here would be amazing too! I definitely want to visit again soon.

Mr. Nabe, Happy New Year! Even on a weekday, the restaurant was fully booked! I went to Garsas. I had a hearty lunch with my favorite Julie earlier in the day, eating lots of meat, so I wanted something light! But ended up eating a full Nabe burger. The Gunkan-yaki I tried for the first time was so delicious that I went bald! If I eat this, I want to try the Gunkan course next time! I can't make a Nabe by myself, so I want to invite some people and try the Gunkan course!

New Year's last meal in Shinbashi in 2022 started without lunch, and we rushed in before opening time with our hungry stomachs. We went for our usual mini party course for 2,780 yen ❤️ - Two appetizers (simmered small potatoes, mentaiko tofu) - Tsukune soup - Assorted sashimi - Grilled salted Shinshu chicken - Homemade char siu salad - Grilled shrimp heads from the sashimi - Tempura (incredibly delicious) - Nabe burger (extremely delicious) Recommended with Japanese sake ❤️ Thank you for another year, Nabe-san (*´∀`)♪

Visited a restaurant I had been wanting to go to with friends. Since we all enjoy drinking, we opted for the course menu with all-you-can-drink. This seemed to be the most popular course, with light portions. The stance was to add more if needed. The total cost was 2780 yen for the mini course and 2200 yen for the all-you-can-drink option. The dishes included: appetizers (mentaiko tofu, simmered taro), assorted sashimi, special tsukune, special salad, pan-seared beef rib roast, and tempura with shrimp and mitsuba. Everything was well-prepared and delicious, and the staff's service was pleasant. I wanted to rate it as excellent, but there were a few disappointing points... The restaurant had a 2.5-hour stay time listed on Tabelog, but the all-you-can-drink was only for 90 minutes, and the total bill was unexpectedly about 1200 yen more than expected based on the Tabelog prices. I wish there had been clearer explanations on these points!

Thank you very much! I'm feeling great and heading to work today. It's another hot day... On days like this, I feel like having some slurpy noodles for lunch. While strolling around Shinbashi, I saw a sign for Chinese noodles! So, I decided to visit for the first time. It's called "Nabeya". I arrived at 12:30 pm and there were 4 customers ahead of me. The operation is run by one person. The restaurant has 4 table seats and a counter seat. It's order-based. I ordered their recommended salt ramen for 880 yen. The presentation of the dish was beautiful. First, I tried the soup - delicious! They use Aizu salt, which goes well with the chicken broth. It's a very refined soup. Then, I had the chashu - tasty! There were 4 slices of pork belly chashu, thickly cut and very satisfying. The fat was also delicious. Next, I tried the bamboo shoots - tasty! The bamboo shoots had a bit of texture left. They seem to be used instead of menma, and the flavor seeped out nicely. Then, I tried the noodles - tasty! They use curly noodles with a high water content. The noodles were a bit short, but they worked well with the soup. Maybe yellow egg noodles would also go well with this ramen. I added some white pepper halfway through for a little flavor change, which was nice. Overall, it was delicious! If I had to say something, maybe I wished there were more options for flavor change since the taste was simple. It would have been nice to have some vinegar. But I was still very satisfied. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

After having lunch with Nabesan at a sushi restaurant in Yurakucho, we all crashed Nabesan's after-party! We had a great time comparing different types of Japanese sake and having a blast. Going to a company event after work and going on a holiday slightly tipsy are totally different experiences. Since we just had sushi, this time we enjoyed some minced cutlet with tartar sauce as a snack. The other food photos are from a different day. During regular hours, they offer a 6-course mini course including sashimi for around 2600 yen!

I went to a collaboration event between the izakaya Nabe-ya in Shinbashi and the hand-made soba restaurant Tokisoba, where they were offering a limited-time dish of pork karaage and soba for Golden Week. It cost ¥1,300. Before the soba, I tried the recommended special junmai sake from Fukushima called Kokugon Chodaku. It was well chilled and had a refreshing taste, although I personally prefer a bit more dry sake. They didn't have soba miso today, so I decided to have an appetizer instead. The appetizer was mentaiko tofu and komatsuna ohitashi. The komatsuna ohitashi was perfectly blanched and chilled, and very delicious. When my sake ran out, the soba arrived. It was served with karaage and grated daikon in a mizore broth, and it was delicious! The grated daikon added a creamy texture to the karaage, which was tender and tasty. The soba noodles were hand-made with a 80:20 ratio, had a good chewiness, and were served in a double-layered seiro, providing a decent portion. It was the first time in a while that I had such delicious soba. I asked if they could add this dish to their regular menu because it was so good. The total bill, including the sake and appetizer, came to around ¥2,300.

"Shinbashi Tokisoba" and "Shinbashi Nabeya" collaborated to create a unique soba dish featuring thin-cut 80% buckwheat noodles with fried pork belly in a dipping sauce. This collaboration offers a fresh and innovative taste not typically found in soba shops. The restaurant operates as a hidden bar from lunchtime until 8 pm, serving a special lunch menu in collaboration with "Shinbashi Tokisoba." I visited for lunch, which was my first time at the restaurant, and the owner, Nabe-san, warmly welcomed me. I sat at the counter and requested a sake that would pair well with the soba. Nabe-san recommended the "Abukuma Special Junmai" served warm. Along with the sake, I was served "Mentaiko Tofu" and "Soba Miso" as appetizers, both of which paired well with the sake. I chose the "Cold Soba with Fried Pork Belly and Grated Daikon" from the collaboration lunch menu. The soba noodles were served in two tiers, accompanied by a dipping sauce filled with fried pork belly and grated daikon. The soba had a delightful aroma and a gentle sweetness when savored on its own. Adding a sprinkle of coarse salt enhanced the sweetness even more. The fried pork belly in the dipping sauce was crispy and flavorful, complemented by the refreshing grated daikon. The combination of flavors and textures, along with a hint of spicy chili oil, made for a multi-faceted dining experience. The meal cost 2,160 yen and was a unique collaboration that I thoroughly enjoyed. This menu is available until May 9th, and I hope to see it offered at "Shinbashi Tokisoba" as well."

Finally got to try the super affordable and delicious lunch available only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays ❤️ The coveted Mr. Nabe's hamburger and omelette rice ❤️ Special special lunch menu ❤️ The hamburger is so soft that you can eat it with your gums, and the chicken in the omelette rice is chunky! The omelette rice is also big and full of volume! The demi-glace sauce is also incredibly delicious, makes you want to lick the plate ✨ Next time, I'll try the chicken steamed lunch set!! Apparently, Mr. Nabe originally promoted this as the main lunch option - looking forward to the next visit.

This place could be called a creative dining spot, where everything you eat is delicious! There is only a set course menu available. There is also a lunch menu, which is also delicious. The owner personally travels across the country to find a wide variety of Japanese sake. It's hard to put into words how amazing it is, so I highly recommend experiencing this place for yourself. The owner may look a bit intimidating, but he is actually a very nice person. You can have a great conversation with him.笑

I stumbled upon a small alley in search of lunch and was drawn in by the sign that read "Omurice". The restaurant was quietly tucked away on the second floor of a building. Inside, I found regular customers chatting with the owner, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lunch set of Omurice came with salad, cold tofu, pickles, and soup for only 600 yen, which was incredibly affordable. The portion size of the Omurice was huge, with a thin layer of egg enveloping a generous serving of ketchup rice. The ketchup rice was moist and had a gentle flavor, with a hint of tuna. As I left, the owner asked if the portion was too much, to which I replied with a big smile, "It was delicious!"

A hidden dining spot in Shinbashi. We rented out the back seat for a birthday celebration with a total of 17 people. It was a 5,000 yen course with all-you-can-drink, but we had a lot of drinkers so the drinks couldn't keep up. It would have been better if there were pitchers or something... The dishes were served at a good pace. Personally, I liked the hot pot.

Visited the restaurant with business partners. It was a bit hard to find as it was in a confusing location, but I managed to arrive with the help of a map. The place had about 10 counter seats and 4 tables for 4 people each. It seemed to be run by a father and son. We started with a toast with beer, then had appetizers, sashimi, tsukune, beef, salad, and tempura. We also ordered grilled chicken thigh as an additional dish. The sashimi was fresh, the tsukune was crispy, and the grilled chicken thigh was well-cooked and seasoned. The table was initially for 4 people, but later we were surrounded by a group of 12 young people, making it hard to hear each other. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, so I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

A discerning selection of sashimi, flavorful tsukune skewers, a steak showcasing the skills of a French-trained chef, and a classic dish of tempura kakiage... Our group enjoyed a cost-effective course meal at a hidden gem of a dining spot on the second floor of a bar alley in Shinbashi. We welcomed a drinking buddy from Sapporo who had recently moved to Tokyo, and gathered with our drinking buddies based in the Shinbashi area for the first part of our night out. The perfect spot for this gathering was this hidden dining spot, where the owner, Nabe-san, offers a wide range of dishes at a great value of 2,500 yen per course. We started off with a toast with "draft beer" and a serving of simmered taro and bean sprout salad. The sashimi platter featuring tuna, amberjack, sweet shrimp, and firefly squid was a delightful start. We then indulged in tsukune skewers, grilled to medium rare perfection, and a delectable steak with a sweet and savory sauce. The large grilled hokke fish, refreshing vegetable salad, and superb tempura kakiage with salt seasoning were also highlights. To finish off, we enjoyed a fragrant tea-pickled grilled rice ball. Nabe-san's diverse homemade dishes truly impressed us. Thank you for the wonderful meal, Nabe-san! #Izakaya #HiddenGem #Sake

A small, cozy izakaya run by the owner. You can take off your shoes. It's narrow, but you can easily chat with people at nearby tables. How about 3 highballs and a tea course? Around 7000 yen per person? Seems a bit pricey.
