Established for over 110 years, this long-standing bakery near Shiodome Station is characterized by a large "S" on its sign that draws people in one after another. The clientele seems to be mostly elderly, and they offer a variety of soft bread. Many of their bread items are priced in the 100 yen range, and all sandwiches are under 400 yen. The staff at the register are incredibly kind, making it clear that this bakery has been beloved for a long time. - Vegetable Toast (180 yen): It's called a toast instead of a sandwich, which adds a charming touch. Thinly sliced toasted bread topped with ham, cucumber, thick cheese, lettuce, and tomato. It's simple but each ingredient is distinct and flavorful. The ingredients are fresh and crunchy, resulting in a light seasoning that is satisfying. Plus, the small size makes it easy to eat with one hand. I hope this bakery continues to be loved for another 100, 200 years.

On a regular day at 1:00 PM, one after another, office ladies come in. This place seems to have been established in 1905, so it's worth a visit just for that. The interior of the store gives off a nice vibe, like they've been around for a long time. The prices are not cheap, but considering the location, they are relatively affordable. - Black Honey Bread: Perfect for a snack. Moist and with a nostalgic taste. It's simple, but somehow makes you feel happy. This is delicious! Will definitely come back for more. - Cinnamon Roll: Fluffy and moist, a delicious treat. It has a familiar taste that lingers. I'd like to try their yakisoba bread someday. Taste preferences may vary, but I recommend the black honey bread.

I visited a restaurant in the Shimbashi area today based on a review by MyRebi. The restaurant is located on a one-way street near Toranomon on Route 15. It seems to be a historic place with many reviews from other customers. The entrance is small, and only about two people can fit inside, so there was a line outside. The shelves are filled with various pastries, with a higher ratio of sweet and savory pastries compared to bread like pain de mie or baguettes. The prices range from around 100 yen to 300 yen, very affordable! Today, I bought a salt bread, yakisoba sandwich, coleslaw sandwich, and a black honey pastry for a total of 720 yen, which is very budget-friendly. The salt bread had a nice salty flavor and a soft and fluffy texture. The coleslaw sandwich was filled with shredded cabbage in a creamy mayo dressing, along with tomatoes and lettuce, a good way to get your veggies. The yakisoba sandwich had a generous amount of yakisoba and minced meat (soy protein?), a tasty combination. I didn't eat the black honey pastry there, but it looked moist and delicious. Overall, it's a great restaurant to have nearby. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at 2:50 PM on a weekday, the store still had a sufficient selection of items. The top 3 recommended items on the entrance sign were still available. While not a big topic of discussion, this longstanding restaurant in the area is loved by the locals. I hope they continue to provide their offerings unchanged, even if they raise prices.

A century-old bakery located in a back alley of Shinbashi 5-chome. I happened to pass by and saw the sign for freshly baked bread, so I decided to stop by. I entered around 5 pm on a weekday. The shelves were empty, with only a few discounted items by the register. The staff who came out from the back gave me a polite explanation. The atmosphere was very pleasant, maybe because of the staff's personality. Depending on the purchase amount, they provided a paper bag as a service. I bought: - "Chocolate Mint Melon Pan (? -> ¥200)" 3.5 ★★★☆ - "Croquette Sandwich (? -> ¥100)" 3.5 ★★★☆ - "Minced Cutlet Burger (? -> ¥100)" 3.0 ★★★ The bread dough had a perfect balance of softness and firmness, which I liked. Especially the Coppe bread was excellent, and I would like to come back for it. The "Chocolate Mint Melon Pan" had a chewy chocolate dough. The slightly mint-flavored cookie dough with chocolate chips was a nice touch. The sweetness was well-balanced, making it a unique bread. The "Croquette Sandwich" had a long Coppe bread with a half-cut croquette. The moist croquette, a little cabbage, and sweet sauce were a great combination. The balance between the filling and the bread was excellent. The "Minced Cutlet Burger" had a round bun with minced meat and lettuce. The minced meat was small but tasty, and it paired well with the firm bread. The simple yet delicious taste of the bread made me want to eat it every day. I really liked the texture and flavor, so I want to revisit in the morning.

In the backstreets of Shiodome and Shinbashi area, there is a long-established bakery with a cozy atmosphere. They have a great selection of traditional Japanese-style bread. This time, I bought a tofu burger sandwich, curry bread, and sweet red bean paste bread. The bread has a gentle flavor and tastes delicious!

In the foreign settlement in Yokohama (now in Kan-nai, around Yamate), the previous generation learned the bread-making method from a British person and opened a bakery when they moved to Shinbashi... The bread is baked by the father, while the sandwiches are made by the mother and staff, creating a "homey taste" centered around the couple... They carefully select ingredients such as special 3L-sized tomatoes, Amaou strawberries, and eggs from specialty stores... In addition, they use a secret sauce passed down through generations, butter sauce with added seasonings, and original sauce for yakisoba bread, all made from scratch... The bakery is always bustling with customers for breakfast and lunch, and by early afternoon, they are almost sold out... Out of a total of 50 varieties, they choose 30 depending on the season and ingredients. They are sold individually, making them perfect for snacks or a quick bite during overtime... Popular items include the "coleslaw" on a butter roll dough with crunchy vegetables and a sweet original dressing, the big-sized "ham and cheese roll" with bread dough similar to buns, and the shining "ham and egg toast" with the secret sauce... For snacks, they offer the classic "anpan" unchanged since the Meiji era, as well as fruit sandwiches, cream bread, and brown sugar bread which are all well-received... They also sell bread loaves starting from 250 yen including tax. [Address] 6-9-1 Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo [Arrival Date] Monday [Number of People in Line] 0 [Wait Time] 0 minutes [Ordered Items] ■ Melon Bread 250 yen (tax included) ■ Salt Bread 190 yen (tax included)

Salt bread ¥190 I can't resist buying my favorite salt bread when it's available. It's incredibly delicious, you wouldn't think it's from an old-fashioned bakery. The modern salt bread is crispy and crunchy on the outside, generously buttered with a strong salty flavor that I really like. It's also good value for money.

I found a cute bakery while passing by. As I love sweet potatoes, chestnuts, and pumpkins, I didn't hesitate to choose the chestnut cream bread. I also couldn't decide between the cinnamon roll I've been wanting to try and the tea cake (maybe a pound cake?), so I asked the friendly motherly-looking staff for advice. They recommended the cinnamon roll (even though the tea cake was slightly more expensive). The chestnut cream had a rich chestnut flavor, and the cinnamon roll was delicious with a strong cinnamon taste. They also offered sandwiches and fruit sandwiches, making it a fun bakery in the neighborhood. (♥ω♥*)

After finishing eating udon at Konbira-san, I returned to my car parked in a roadside parking lot. I noticed a bakery nearby and decided to stop by to buy some snacks. Suddenly, a crowd of customers rushed in, and the small bakery quickly became crowded with a line forming. Two customers were already inside browsing. I waited near the entrance, peeking inside and trying to decide what to buy. As I was thinking about it, the croquette bread that the previous customer had their eye on was taken - it sold out. When the previous customer left, I entered the bakery and purchased an anpan and a yakisoba bread, each costing a little over 300 yen. Quite affordable, isn't it? I returned to my car and tried the bread after a while. The anpan had a firm bread with sweet bean paste inside. It would have been even better if it had chunky bean paste. The bread had a good texture and the balance between the sweetness of the bread and the sweet bean paste was just right. The yakisoba bread was filled with yakisoba - why do yakisoba and bread go so well together? A bakery standing alone in a back alley of a business district. At first glance, you might wonder if they are doing okay and making a profit, but there must be a reason why they can keep going.

On a regular day around 11:30, the weather was cloudy with a temperature of 22 degrees. There were two groups of customers before me. The bakery uses tongs and trays. The cream bun costs 160 yen and has a slightly glove-like shape. It's more like a sandwich with custard inside. The dough has small air bubbles and is slightly firm. The yellow custard has a grainy texture from the eggs. The egg potato roll costs 190 yen and is a roll filled with egg salad and potato salad. The bread has a slightly sweet taste. The egg salad has chopped whites, while the potato salad is slightly loose and sweet. The fruit sandwich costs 200 yen and is made with fruit and cream sandwiched between crustless white bread. The cream has a sweet smell. The fruits include strawberries, bananas, kiwis, and peaches (tasting like canned peaches). The bakery is located in a corner off the main street near Shinbashi Station. It has a traditional bakery feel with a narrow interior displaying various savory and sweet breads and sandwiches. The reasonable prices are pleasing. It's a classic neighborhood bakery, and I hope it continues for a long time. Thank you for the meal.

There is a bakery on the back street of the first Keihin Road walking towards Daimon from Shimbashi. I mistakenly thought they were open on Saturdays, so I tried to visit a few times but they were closed. Finally, I stopped by after lunch on a weekday. The options were limited as they had already sold out some items, but I chose the curry bun for 170 yen and the matcha cake with dessert for 250 yen. I paid in cash, quickly cleaned out my change, and received a free plastic bag with no shop name but clearly indicating it was from a bakery. I proudly carried my purchases home and enjoyed them for dinner. The curry bun has a sense of tradition, dating back to 1905 according to their Instagram. The matcha cake I chose for dessert turned out to have a paper at the bottom, which I noticed halfway through. It was a moist cake.

I used takeout. I had a curry bread for 170 yen. The curry flavor was relatively easy to eat, with a standard taste of bread that was crispy on the outside. The curry was surprisingly packed with spices, but overall it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Fruit sandwich and dense black bread. The shop seems like a small family-run business, with a cozy atmosphere. The fruit sandwich had a plant-based cream inside, but the bread was delicious and the fruits were big and tasty. The black bread had a slightly sweet taste that even children would enjoy, and it was quite heavy due to the high moisture content. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Today's lunch series in Shimbashi. Today, I visited the bakery San Anton in Shimbashi 6-chome, for the first time in about 5 and a half years. I remember this place as a simple bakery where I have visited a few times for work. I think there used to be two shops in the area, but now it seems there is only one. When I entered the shop, there weren't many types of bread available. Well, it's a small shop after all (laughs). The handmade sandwiches looked very delicious. I picked up the Ham and Egg Toast (210 yen) and the Corned Beef Sandwich (160 yen). The Ham and Cheese Croissant (250 yen) also looked quite good, so I got that too. And, just for the sake of it, I got a Curry Bun (170 yen) as well. We enjoyed them at the office, and the croissant, which was a bit pricey, was incredibly delicious. The Ham and Egg Toast was also very good, showcasing the true essence of this shop. The Curry Bun was slightly sweet, with a basic flavor. It was tasty. I was satisfied. This shop is a rare find in the area, as there are hardly any bakeries like this around.

I enjoy the fluffy center of the bread, but I also appreciate the chewiness of the crust. I can even enjoy just the crust as a sandwich, savoring the wheaty aroma and elasticity. When faced with a lump of bread with the crusts cut off, I was momentarily taken aback. But upon reflection, it must be for a fruit sandwich. I imagine biting into juicy fruit with a creamy filling, experiencing pure bliss. Right now, I'm in the mood for persimmons. When I feel like having persimmon and mascarpone sandwiched together, I'll be sure to visit this shop. That's what I'll do.

Seaweed salad sandwich and egg sandwich for 300 yen at San Anton (Daimon). Although it's called Daimon, the address is actually in Shinbashi 6-chome. The seaweed sandwich was interesting with pickled stem seaweed mixed with mustard mayonnaise and lettuce. The mustard gave it a nice kick and the texture was crunchy. The bread had a nostalgic, chewy texture like toast from a coffee shop. The egg sandwich had a strong egg yolk flavor, making it quite addictive.

I went in the afternoon and many items were sold out, so there were few choices. I bought a vegetable sandwich and a melon bread. The simple and large melon bread tasted good. The sandwich was on the smaller side, but it had a decent amount of filling and the bread was delicious.
