Anyway, this place is a lifesaver as it's open until 11 pm. I don't have the energy to go to a second place, but it's too early to go home. MAYO, a famous place known for its hard-to-get reservations, has opened a new gelato and baked goods specialty shop on August 12th (no reservations required!). I bought the cookie tins (plain and cheese). Both are bite-sized and crispy, with the cheese one packed with plenty of Parmesan cheese for a fragrant taste. The tins are also cute, so I recommend them!

Patisserie Mayo's new takeout shop specializing in gelato and baked goods has opened. They have moved the counter desserts from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. They offer about 8 flavors of gelato at all times, with 2 premium flavors that change seasonally or regularly (+100 yen), and a cup with 2 regular flavors can be chosen for 750 yen. Children's servings are about half the price, which is considerate. They also have baked goods like financiers, galettes, puddings, and cookie tins that make great souvenirs. This time, I bought individually wrapped financiers for 370 yen and the premium flavor of rum raisin & milk for 850 yen as souvenirs. It would be nice if they also had single servings available, even though I'm not sure if there is a demand for it. The cookie tin is from a previous purchase. You can enjoy the gelato on the simple terrace on the 3rd floor, so it's a bit awkward during this hot season, but it will be nice when the weather cools down a bit. The counter desserts might not want word of mouth, so they may not become a top 100 shop, but if the gelato shop becomes popular, they might be selected for the newly established Gelato Top 100 in the future.

A gelato and baked goods specialty store from the popular dessert shop "Pâtissière MAYO" that quickly gets fully booked has opened on the 2nd floor of the same building! They are open from 2pm to 11pm, and you can also have gelato as a dessert after dinner. I tried the caramel and rum raisin flavors. It was a bit pricey at 850 yen, but it was smooth and delicious. You can enjoy it on the terrace on the 3rd floor. Money spent: 850 yen Rating: 4 points 5 points: Definitely want to visit again!! 4 points: Would like to visit again if given the chance! 3 points: Willing to revisit. 2 points: Once is enough. 1 point: No need to go.

Popular patisserie MAYO in Roppongi is a place that is hard to get a reservation at. However, at Flat, you can enjoy their gelato anytime. Not only gelato, but you can also buy baked goods, pudding, and sometimes even Basque cheesecake that catch your eye. Located in Roppongi, they also offer gelato for children under 10, so my kids love going there when we can. All the gelato is carefully made and delicious, but my personal favorite is the rum raisin. It has an adult taste but surprisingly appeals to everyone. I don't usually order rum raisin, but in August, I kept ordering it... Seasonally, I bet the chestnut flavor is also incredibly delicious... Looking forward to it.

I took my two heaviest dogs to the restaurant! It was still hot, so we arrived right before closing time. I asked for milk for the dogs, but they requested me to choose two flavors, so I ended up choosing almond milk. I was worried if almond might not be good for dogs, but I gave it to them focusing on the milk part. They were very happy and even wanted more after finishing it! I tried the new gelato shop that I had been curious about. I had the rum raisin and chocolate gelato. The chocolate gelato was so rich that it felt like eating actual chocolate, and the rum raisin had a nice depth of flavor and was delicious. They also have fruit-based flavors like melon and peach, which would be refreshing in the hot summer. You can also enjoy your gelato on the 3rd floor terrace.

Today, MAYO flat opened. MAYO itself has been relocated to the 3rd floor, and the 2nd floor has been renovated into MAYO flat. MAYO flat is a gelato and baked goods specialty store where you can enter without a reservation. I tried the mango and peach gelato. Both were rich in flavor, made from carefully selected ingredients by MAYO. You can enjoy them on the terrace seats on the 3rd floor.

Congratulations on the opening of the store! I don't want points or ratings, so I won't give any, but if I did, it would be a high score! I couldn't make it to the pre-opening, but I visited after a weekend BBQ girls' night out. Leo-chan, the lovely staff, informed me that it was crowded during the pre-opening and people had to wait for an hour, so I was glad I didn't go that day. I was able to enter without waiting and had perfect timing! I tried all 8 flavors: seasonal fruits (melon, peach, mango) and regular flavors (caramel, milk, almond, rum raisin, chocolate). They were all delicious, but my favorites were chocolate, milk, and almond. The chocolate was rich and bitter, perfect for chocolate lovers. Milk and almond are great for milk fans! I wanted to go for seconds with chocolate and milk even after trying all flavors, but that's a secret! They also sell cookie tins and baked goods without reservations! Cheese cookie tins would be a great find, especially paired with red wine! Highly recommended! It was a great encounter since the end of the year. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!

Milk + Rum Raisin for 850 yen is a dessert shop called Patisserie Mayo that offers limited reservations. Patisserie Mayo Flat was opened with the intention of being a place where you can casually stop by. The effort is commendable, but the taste of the gelato is just average for a premium dessert. It is delicious, but it didn't quite meet the high expectations set by the reservation-only shops. As of August 2023, my favorite gelato is from "Tomomi Gelato" in Kyoto.

Light and refreshing gelato that you can enjoy casually at night.

I am so happy that they are open late at night, it's so appreciated, and their rich and delicious gelato is amazing!! I also want to try the fig flavor.
