It was excellent! Depending on the time of day, there may be a line, but even after we entered, many customers kept coming in, showing that it's a very popular place!!! The cost performance is good, the service is fast, and the turnover seems to be quick with short waiting times! The interior of the restaurant is also clean, and the fact that you can have unlimited rice refills is great. It's been a while since I had a hearty meal!

In this restaurant "Eleven", you can enjoy pork steak that is raised in a special sterile environment, so you can eat it rare like beef. If you're concerned, it's better to cook it well on a hot plate. Additionally, just like getting extra noodles in ramen, you can add extra meat if you feel like you need more. Dinner at Buta Steak Juichi-san, where the only option is to order pork steak. You just have to decide whether to top your rice with spicy pickled mustard greens or plum. I'm on Team Spicy Pickled Mustard Greens. The cooking starts without waiting for the order, so the service is quite fast. And it's delicious! Plus, there's a high percentage of female customers. In fact, it's almost entirely women. And it's a place where women can easily get seconds of rice. 😊

I tried rare pork for the first time and it was really delicious!! I don't think there are any restaurants in Tokyo where you can eat such rare pork, so I would recommend it when you go to Fukuoka. The restaurant was also clean, and they had certificates from the health department on the wall, so I felt very safe eating there! I was really impressed by how delicious the pork, chicken, beef, and seafood are in Kyushu!

Tennoji Steak, located 689m from Watanabe-dori Station, offers great value for money and truly delicious food. I usually go to the Hakata Station South branch, but it tends to have long lines around lunchtime, so this time I decided to visit the Sumiyoshi branch. I heard that the Sumiyoshi branch is easier to get into, and it turned out to be true as we were able to get a table without any hassle. One difference I noticed compared to the Hakata Station South branch is that at the Sumiyoshi branch, you can choose between umeboshi or takana to start with. However, I think this is a one-time option. At the Hakata Station South branch, they have umeboshi on the table, so it's up to personal preference. I also felt that the way the meat was cooked was different between the two branches. It could just be a coincidence, but the meat at the Sumiyoshi branch seemed to have more char on it from the beginning. It's understandable since different people cook at each branch, but both branches serve delicious food, so it's not a problem.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday, a little after 1pm. Only the counter seats were available. The salad was served promptly. You can choose between plum rice or pickled vegetable rice. If you order a refill of rice, you can try both plum and pickled vegetable, but I couldn't get a refill so I chose my favorite, plum rice. It was delicious! I remember having mentaiko rice when I visited a few years ago, but this time the plum rice was the best with its refreshing taste. The miso soup was also delicious. The pork is served half-raw. It was tender, without any unpleasant smell, really tasty! It goes well with ginger soy sauce! The wasabi and spicy miso were also delicious, but I preferred to eat it with just the ginger soy sauce. I remember the onions being half-raw and spicy, making me cry when I ate them before, but this time the onions were sweet, fragrant, and delicious when paired with the pork. It's already a delicious restaurant, but I felt a deep appreciation for how they continue to evolve. Highly recommended.

Recently, there has been an increase in pork steak specialty shops in Fukuoka city. The storefront does not have the shop name written, but the pig illustration is the same as the main store. The atmosphere inside the shop is quiet and calm. When sitting at the counter and looking at the menu, it seems like in the past they also had beef tongue steak, but now there is only one type of pork steak for 1000 yen, so there is no need to order. The staff will ask if you want a topping of pickled plum or pickled vegetables when they bring the salad, so I ordered pickled plum. By the way, extra pork steak (whole) is 500 yen, and pork steak (half) is 250 yen. The set includes pork steak, white rice with pickled plum on top, miso soup, and salad. The steak is served on a hot plate about 15 cm in diameter and it's piping hot!! You can top it with garlic chili miso or grated wasabi from the table, and eat it with ginger soy sauce. The salad is refreshing with lettuce, pine nuts, and tomatoes. The steak is thick, about 2 cm in thickness, and served rare. The meat is juicy and tender!! You can eat it with grated wasabi if you want a refreshing taste, or with chili miso if you want a punch. I finished it in no time!! You can enjoy rare pork steak here. My favorite is grated daikon radish that has been a classic choice for a long time. The menu currently only includes pork steak, but it comes with unlimited rice and miso soup, making it quite reasonable. While they used to offer tongue steak, pork steak is the winner in the end! I will definitely come back again.

I'm writing my first review for my favorite restaurant, "Buta Steak Juichi," located near my house, which I visit more than 30 times a week. I just had the hamburger lunch and I love it so much that I decided to go for another round. It's a shame they don't serve beer at the moment. I didn't know that. Even without beer, I still enjoyed my lunch round. The pork steak costs ¥1,000, extra meat costs ¥500, and half extra meat costs ¥250. I ordered the pork steak! Normally, I would have some beer with extra meat, but they don't serve alcohol and this is my second stop, so I'll just have to endure. The condiments, spicy miso and grated wasabi, are both recommended! Also, the dipping sauce that comes with it is delicious too! If you haven't been there, I recommend you give it a try. It looked delicious! We were instructed to dip the pork in the sauce on the plate, which seemed to be a ginger soy sauce. The condiments included chili miso and grated wasabi, which added an addictive flavor to the dish. The pork was fresh and tasty, without any unpleasant smell. It's no wonder this place is so popular! The restaurant was getting busier as more customers arrived, and the staff seemed quite busy. We'll definitely be back again!

This place, "Buta Steak Toichi", is known as the restaurant that popularized "pork steak" in Fukuoka. The main store is located in "Hakata Station South" and has branches in "Akasaka" and "Ropponmatsu"! All the stores have a distinctive logo of a pig on the wall or white noren curtains, as there is no store name at the entrance. The exterior and interior have a chic design, and the "Sumiyoshi store" has a harmonious and calm atmosphere with a blend of Japanese style. The interior may feel narrow, but it is laid out with tables and a counter. Looking at the menu, there were options for "pork steak" and "beef tongue steak", but the "beef tongue" had a white tape on it, indicating only one choice of "pork steak". I tried the "pork steak". First, a "watercress salad" was served with thinly sliced tomatoes and pineapples, which seemed to take care of the digestive enzymes after eating the pork. It's nice for those who care about their body! The "pork steak set meal" comes with salad and miso soup, and rice and miso soup can be refilled - for those with a big appetite, you can add extra meat, following the "Hakata style"! Since it has a low fat content and a mild taste, changing the flavor as above and eating it to your liking will make it delicious until the end. It tastes even better when paired with rice! Pork steak for ¥1000 served rare. It was very delicious with a strong umami flavor. I enjoyed changing the taste with spicy miso and grated wasabi. The spicy miso was my favorite. I was able to eat without waiting, probably because it was after 5 pm. Great cost performance! I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

This time, I went to Buta Steak Juichi Sumiyoshi branch located at 3-6-4 Sumiyoshi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. I went there for lunch. The restaurant has a counter and table seats, with a total of about 18 seats. It's a cozy little place. The menu has two options: Buta Steak for 1000 yen and Gyutan Steak for 1500 yen. I ordered the Buta Steak this time. You can choose to have Takana or Ume on top of your rice, and I chose Takana. There is garlic miso and grated wasabi on the table for you to enjoy with the steak. First, a mini salad was served, with watercress, tomato, and surprisingly, pineapple. Then, the meal was brought out. It made a lovely sizzling sound. Miso soup and potato salad were also included. The portion of rice was quite generous. With the ginger soy sauce provided, I enjoyed mixing it with the rice. The meat was cooked slightly rare and tender. It came with two slices, which was a nice surprise. Onions were used as the base. You can have seconds of rice and miso soup. As it approached noon, more and more customers started coming in. First of all, delicious! I had the pork steak and beef tongue set meal. We were asked if we wanted to split the portions evenly, which was a nice surprise. We gladly accepted and waited eagerly. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The pork was cooked rare, so we seared it a bit on the hot plate. The flavor was rich and the pork was tender, making it the best pork steak. The beef tongue had a good chewy texture that was easy to bite through. We enjoyed it with the wasabi and grated radish on the side. The exterior may not look like much at first, but once you step inside, you'll find a top-notch pork restaurant.

Today's lunch was at this restaurant called Juichi. I've been to the Akasaka branch before, but this was my first time at the Sumiyoshi branch. It only took about 10 minutes to walk there haha. Both my partner and I love tonkatsu. We both agree that tonkatsu is best with just salt and pepper. It's still before 11 am, but we cheers with a glass of draft beer. The interior of the restaurant is calm and nice. It's so close by, I definitely want to come back again soon!

After finishing my errands on my day off, I walked towards Sumiyoshi. It was a late lunch time, but I decided to have lunch. There were several interesting restaurants, and I chose this one. There was no sign, but there was a silhouette of a pig on the wall. It's Tenichi-san, famous for its pork steak. The restaurant is located in a quiet alley without a noren, so it looks like an ordinary place. I have been to the stores in Gyōga and Akasaka. The last time I went was about a year ago in Akasaka. I arrived at the restaurant around 14:20. There were six customers inside, sitting at tables and the counter. I chose an available seat at the counter. This restaurant only serves pork steak and beef tongue steak. This time, I chose the pork steak. You can choose between white rice and plum rice, so I requested plum rice. There was no mentaiko rice here, unlike the store in Gyōga. You can also have refills of rice and miso soup, just like in the Gyōga and Akasaka stores. I ordered and soon a salad was brought to me. I waited for the pork steak to arrive. It was brought to me in less than 5 minutes. The iron plate looked hot. I took a bite of the pork steak. It was quite delicious. Cooked medium rare, it was tender and juicy. There were some tough parts though. I dipped it in ginger soy sauce. Next, I tried putting grated wasabi on the pork steak. Surprisingly, it wasn't as spicy as expected. It was easy to eat. Then I tried putting garlic miso with chili on the pork steak. It was delicious. The chili miso made the flavor richer. I personally like eating it with garlic miso with chili the most. After that, I alternated between eating with ginger soy sauce and garlic miso with chili. Under the pork steak, there were large cuts of fresh onions. The miso soup was delicious as usual. It had seaweed, tofu, and green onions in it. The salad mainly consisted of watercress, with tomatoes and pineapples, dressed with dressing. The pickles were also delicious. Since the main dish was pork steak, the rice kept disappearing. I had one more serving of plum rice. I finished it in no time. A customer arrived while I was eating. I bet it's packed with customers during weekday lunchtime. This time it cost 1000 yen. You can have refills of rice and miso soup, so I think it's reasonable. It was delicious. I will come back again.

You can enjoy the steak by dipping it in the ginger soy sauce in the middle or with the garlic spicy miso and wasabi grated on the table. The pork steak may look like a lot, but it is not too heavy and you can finish it quickly. It is delicious. I'm not sure about all Juichi-san's restaurants, but the situation at the Sumiyoshi branch today (Saturday holiday) was just right with enough customers to enjoy the meal leisurely. I had my first experience of trying ton-teki in Hakata. At first, I couldn't tell because there was no sign outside, just a pig symbol.
