This is an izakaya in the back alleys of Shinbashi, known for their specialty grilled chicken skin. The interior is small, with a focus on the counter, but there are also tables inside and outside. The tables are small though, which can be cramped for bigger individuals like me. Smokers will be pleased to know that smoking is allowed. The grilled chicken skin is a must-try, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, you can have as many skewers as you want. Both the sauce and salt versions are delicious. They also offer a variety of skewers, from chicken to pork, all of which are tasty. The chicken liver was particularly delicious. If you can overlook the cramped space, it's a great place to enjoy a meal.

The day before a three-day weekend, around 7:30 pm, four colleagues who were in the office for a face-to-face meeting decided to go out for dinner. One of them was from Fukuoka and recommended a place they had heard was delicious. They called and were told it was fully booked, but they could come at 8 pm. After waiting for about 20 minutes, they finally got a table. Even though one of them was nervous about eating chicken skin, it turned out to be delicious. Unfortunately, the recommended pork belly was sold out, but they enjoyed the chicken skin with both sauce and salt, especially with yuzu pepper sauce. In the end, they ate 30 pieces of chicken skin and tried other dishes like vinegar tripe and heart, all of which were delicious. They decided they would definitely come back. Fukuoka seems to have a lot of delicious food, I want to visit there someday! ✈️

The chicken skin is crispy and juicy! I visited alone. First, I tried the chicken skin with sauce, and it's a taste that you can eat a lot of. The liver is moist and juicy, very delicious. The chicken skin with ponzu sauce is thinly sliced, making it easy to eat. The simmered dish is filled with burdock, carrot, and konjac, and the spiciness gradually builds up! You can also enjoy drinking outside, making it a place where you can experience the atmosphere of Shinbashi.

Let's go eat delicious food in Kyushu and Hakata! I went to Kawaya, which I've been curious about for a while. They have branches in Yotsuya and Kanda, and reservations are a must even on weekdays! First, I ordered their specialty, kawa (skin) skewers! I ordered 10 each with sauce and salt, but they only had 4 salt skewers left. It's so popular! I liked the salt skewers as a snack, but personally, I prefer the sauce! The crispy and crunchy surface is delicious! The inside is chewy and soft! Since it's the skin, it has that slightly fatty part, but it's not overpowering at all! They cook it slowly over 5 days! Thank you for putting in the effort to make such delicious food! The yuzu pepper was tasty. It was also delicious with the yuzu pepper sauce. I started with some cabbage with vinegar as a veggie first. The sesame mackerel sent directly from the source was so delicious! I also tried the popular cloud sen ham skewers in the Shinbashi area and was satisfied. The squid beak skewer was amazing! I love squid beaks, so this was irresistible! The sake selection was great! However, the pig trotters were too tough. The staff's T-shirt was cool. The atmosphere was very Shinbashi-like, the staff were friendly, and most importantly, the kawa skewers were delicious and satisfying!

I have lost count of how many times I have been to this restaurant. The speed of drink service here is truly amazing. Of course, the chicken skewers are delicious, but the side dishes are also a charm of Nagamasa! My favorite is the fried taro, with its sweet and flavorful taste. Unfortunately, they were sold out on this day, so I had to settle for radish instead. However, the radish was also incredibly delicious. Don't forget to try the limited sesame mackerel! I tried pairing it with sake for the first time, and it was absolutely amazing. Chicken skewers are a must, but also try the sides!

I visited around 7:00 PM on a regular day. The tent had table seats, and the inside of the restaurant had counter seats. The seating was a bit cramped, and the chairs at the table seats were a bit hard, giving off a casual vibe. I sat at a table under the tent, looked at the menu, and placed my order. They had a good variety of drinks, including a decent selection of shochu. The cabbage appetizer had a crunchy core and was served with yuzu dressing. The yakitori was delicious, with the chicken skin having a nice flavor even without any seasoning. The liver was cooked just right, and the avocado with wasabi soy sauce was tasty. The dried chicken breast was like smoked meat and made for a good snack. The portion sizes were average, and the prices were reasonable. Despite the small space, it didn't bother me too much, probably because there weren't any large groups. It's a good place to go with friends who you get along with.

Recommended dish: Pork belly skewers
The pork belly skewers are around 100 yen each, making them affordable. They have a unique texture that you won't find elsewhere. Cabbage is all-you-can-eat with delicious yuzu pepper sauce. The must-try dish is the pork belly, which is seasoned with a mysterious seasoning that tastes surprisingly good. You'll definitely want seconds. I recommend trying the umeboshi sour to finish off your meal.

I went on a Friday night. It was full, so making a reservation was the right choice. I sat at the counter. It's great that smoking is allowed. Every dish was delicious, and the staff's attentiveness and service were pleasant. It was a good restaurant. But I forget to take photos when I drink alcohol... I regret it. I want to go again and recommend this restaurant.

There were no extended prevention measures or emergency declarations, and after Golden Week, Shinbashi was quite crowded. It was a great decision to make a reservation in advance! Nagamasa Shinbashi was fully booked, including the outdoor terrace seats. I tried the miso harami, which had just the right taste for eating in between.

Whenever I come, they always greet me with a lovely smile. They even listen to my preferences for how crispy I want the skin to be, thank you! The chicken skin is always delicious! The pork belly is juicy, and the pig's feet are chewy. The grilled yam is a must-have! I will definitely be coming back!

A casual atmosphere yakitori restaurant suddenly appeared in the back alley of Shinbashi. When I visited, it was full! The specialty chicken skin was delicious, I easily ate about 10 pieces by myself. The heart was tender and delicious without any strange taste, I was really impressed. The soup I drank at the end had a gentle flavor, making me feel warm inside. Definitely try the special chicken skin!

It's a type of yakitori where chicken skin is rolled up, dipped in sauce, and grilled, then repeated multiple times over 5 days to complete. I had never tried it before, so it was my first experience at a work gathering. The restaurant is located in an alley behind Yamada Denki, with counter seating inside and mostly outdoor tables. When it rains, they enclose the area with sheets, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying beer. The chicken skin is 190 yen per skewer, but we ordered 20 skewers for 1800 yen. We also ordered vinegar tripe, grilled eggplant, and other items to enjoy while waiting for the chicken skin to cook. The appetizer was raw cabbage. The vinegar tripe had a crunchy texture and refreshing taste, living up to expectations. The chicken skin, which could be enjoyed plain or with yuzu sauce, was not as crispy as expected but still juicy and delicious.

I recently got hooked on kawa-yaki! It's located behind the SL Square in Shinbashi. I couldn't find any kawa-yaki with a flavor that I could eat multiple pieces of until my boss recommended this place to me. I decided to give it a try. They serve 10 pieces of kawa-yaki for 1800 yen! The seasoning is well done, and it goes well with the cabbage appetizer. When you pour the tangy sauce with yuzu pepper on top, it becomes even more refreshing! It was the most delicious kawa-yaki I've ever had. I wish it was a bit more cost-effective, but I would definitely go back if I have the chance. It's worth it because it takes time and effort to make. I'll visit again when I'm in the area!

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant at 7:00 PM today. The shop was difficult to find because it was located in a back alley, and I got lost on the way there (>_<). I came to try the Hakata specialty, chicken skin. The chicken skin was grilled multiple times, allowing the flavor to seep in. When you pour the yuzu pepper sauce that is placed on the table, the taste gets even better. (I forgot to take a photo...) I also ordered my favorite potato salad and oyakodon. The oyakodon had plenty of broth in it, a taste I had never experienced before, and it was delicious! We also ordered a few more skewers and drinks. Before we knew it, the bill was quite high, which was surprising, haha. The seating is limited to 2 hours, so I recommend enjoying your drinks and leaving promptly. I felt that the service could be a bit more polite, so I hope for better service in the future.

Tabelog → [★★★☆☆] 3.40 I went for a casual drink in Shinbashi because I heard they have recommended chicken skin skewers. It seems like the location has been moved. I went on Friday at 18:00. It was empty when I entered, but it quickly became full. They seem to take orders for the chicken skin first. I'm not a big fan of chicken skin, so I just ordered 3 skewers. While waiting, I looked at the process of how the chicken skin is made. It seems like it takes 5 days to prepare. Just knowing this made my mouth water. When I tried it, the crispy skin with a slightly sweet and sour sauce was exquisite! It's not just sweet and salty, but the sweet and sour flavor is irresistible! Even if you don't like chicken skin, you might enjoy it here! The other skewers were also fresh and bouncy! Tokyo really gathers delicious food from all over Japan. I want to try it in its hometown too. Thank you for the meal!

While browsing through Instagram, I remembered this and decided to contribute. After playing MTG, I wandered around Shinbashi to replenish my nutrients and luckily, I was able to enter the restaurant right away, so I made a quick decision. Normally, there's always a line, so I thought, "Lucky!" and went in. The rich flavor of the chicken skewers was like butter, but surprisingly not too greasy, with a delicious smokiness. The chicken skewers are grilled in seven stages, using the skin from the neck with minimal subcutaneous fat, so there's no guilt (laughs). I happily finished about 10 skewers! After eating, I felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction from getting my necessary collagen intake, so I left the restaurant feeling good. I wish they would open in Sapporo too... Thank you for the delicious meal.

I made a mistake with my reservation, but they handled it sincerely. They even called to guide us to our table in advance. The food was delicious! Torikawaya is truly delicious!!!

Not your average chicken skin, but a chewy and voluminous chicken skin. The taste that makes you think you can keep drinking beer after beer.
