I had a New Year's party with a course featuring live hairy crabs. It was a luxurious crab feast in a clean and elegant private room. The menu was diverse, including sashimi and gratin, providing a truly happy experience. The staff were very friendly and it was a high-quality restaurant.

I visited this restaurant for my partner's birthday. I made a reservation through TableCheck. Since it's not a place we visit frequently, I wanted to make sure we could eat plenty, so I chose the Kegani (hairy crab) lunch (large) with a smile. First, they showed us the live crab we would be eating, and then asked how many sashimi slices we wanted. We went with three. After that, each dish came out one by one according to the menu, with perfect timing so we didn't feel rushed. I was happy to be able to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace, especially since I was also having some drinks. I thought there wouldn't be much edible meat in the hairy crab, but there was actually quite a lot. The crab vinegar that came with the boiled crab had a nice flavor that complemented the crab well. The grilled crab shell was packed with meat, and the miso was delicious. We also enjoyed some crab sake by pouring sake into the shell. The fried dishes were crispy and tasty. They even prepared a birthday dessert for us and gave us a little gift. The drinks were a bit pricey, but because we made an early reservation, we were seated in a private room and were able to leisurely enjoy our meal for about two hours, even though it was lunchtime. I was very satisfied.

This time, I made a reservation for a private room, and the spacious and tranquil sunken kotatsu private room was perfect. - What I ordered: "Live Hairy Crab and Snow Crab Course" - Crab Consomme - Appetizer - Soup - Sashimi - Hairy Crab - Snow Crab Saikyo Yaki - Hairy Crab Shell Grill - Rice - Dessert [Mizuki's highly recommended menu] - Hairy Crab: The shredded hairy crab was served in a mountainous pile, with a rich crab flavor and plump meat even without seasoning. Squeezing some lemon over it added a refreshing touch, and the crab vinegar was delicious and classic, allowing for enjoyable flavor variations while eating. It was so delicious that I finished it quickly and wanted more. - Snow Crab Saikyo Yaki: You can choose from three cooking methods – boiled, grilled, or Saikyo Yaki. I love Saikyo Yaki, so I chose this without hesitation. I visited Hibiya Midtown on April 18th and tried Hibiya Kanimitsu, which is located on the 3rd floor, just like "Sushi Nanba." I ordered the "Mini Kaiseki Course" featuring crab and beef. Please see the photos below: - Appetizer: Opening the lid reveals edamame, roasted duck with cherry blossom leaves, marinated young ayu fish, grilled spring taro, and ham foam. It's a refreshing appetizer that evokes the feeling of spring. - Soup: A clear soup with arrowroot starch, greenling fish, mugwort tofu, flower petals, daikon radish, carrot, and tree sprout. - Snow crab: Grilled snow crab served with crab miso and lemon. - Premium beef steak. - Zuwai crab tempura: With eggplant and taro sprouts. - Rice dish: Zuwai crab with mixed rice, pickles, and miso soup. - Dessert: Papaya, lemon jelly, bracken rice cake, and pineapple snacks. I visited this restaurant because I had a very good impression of it when I went to Ginza before. There are many foreign customers, but the service lacks enthusiasm and I wonder if the servers are really Japanese. The food itself is not bad, but the overall entertainment factor of the restaurant is lacking.

The food was delicious (although it was a bit bothersome that the shabu-shabu fire went out frequently, they would relight it if asked so no problem). Note that to order the kagami-yaki, you need to order a whole crab. If you order a course, it's okay, but otherwise you need to order a whole crab to add it.

I treated myself to a crab meal at Kanimitsu in Hibiya Midtown to reward myself for working hard all year. As soon as I entered the restaurant, the delicious aroma of grilled crab filled the air, stimulating my appetite. I ordered a medium-sized crab course with additional a la carte items, and enjoyed a snow crab as well. The staff showed me the live crab before cooking it, explaining how each part of the legs would be prepared. Surprisingly, my favorite dish turned out to be the crab gratin. It had a creamy texture and a unique flavor that I found incredibly delicious. We also ordered a snow crab a la carte, which was packed full of meat and very satisfying to eat.

Personally, I didn't feel like going back again for this price because even ordering was difficult due to the lack of staff. #Amber Crab Consomme - Consomme soup with a normal crab flavor #Appetizer - Well-thought-out appetizers, typical for a course meal #Crab Gratin - Packed with crab meat, creamy and delicious #Boiled Hairy Crab - Not much meat and difficult to eat, so-so #Conger Eel Chawanmushi - Sweet seasoning, so-so #Scallop Pudding - The salty taste of scallops doesn't go well with the sweetness of the pudding! Bad! #Grilled Snow Crab - Delicious but the amount is small and removing the meat is up to you, not good #Crab Shabu-Shabu - Not included in the course, so we ordered it separately but the broth was bland, disappointing #Duck Udon - Thin noodles with a rich duck broth, the most delicious! #Miura Turnip Mousse - Mousse with a subtle turnip flavor, not bad, and the strawberries are Red Madonna, so no complaints #Yatsuhashi - The same as the one I've had in Kyoto

Ginza's Kanimitsu has expanded to Hibiya! The interior of the restaurant is new and spacious. We enjoyed a delicious hairy crab and my favorite crab miso soup, making it a truly happy time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

It was fun to enjoy hairy crabs with the kids and they found it delicious. We could even see live crabs in the tank. The kids liked boiled crabs the most, while adults preferred them grilled. The restaurant is relatively new and has private rooms, so I think it can be used in various ways.

It was a very lovely restaurant with a counter, which allowed for a comfortable distance from other customers and a leisurely dining experience. The timing of the food being served was also very good. The hairy crab was truly delicious. I would like to go again.

Although it's a crab restaurant, they also focus on beef dishes. When I arrived, it seemed like the restaurant was fully booked, including private rooms. The table next to mine was occupied by either inbound tourists or foreigners living in Japan, enjoying a plate of hairy crabs each. It looked delicious, but I decided to go for the limited 20-serving "Sakura Meal." It includes a salad with snow crab claws, premium beef steak, roasted duck, rolled omelette, and a special gratin with crab meat. The meal also comes with crab rice and a dessert of fig compote. I finished with a refreshing cup of rooibos tea. While the variety was great, I didn't really get the crab experience, so I probably should have chosen the crab course.

I visited this restaurant for a crab kaiseki meal. They offer dishes other than crab, such as meat and appetizers, so it's recommended for those who want variety. They have sunken kotatsu seating, but the restroom is located in a commercial facility, so it was a bit embarrassing to walk around in slippers. (lol)

The crab was delicious and the staff was very attentive. However, the operation seemed a bit lacking as the dish wasn't freshly made. I hope that in six months, it will be suitable for entertaining guests with a crab course meal. The price seemed fair considering the effort put into it.
