Visited with my sumo-loving brother. The practice place for the Kuju Sumo Stable was set up in a chanko restaurant, with the dohyo right next to the dining area. Sometimes themed places like this can be mediocre, but the chanko here was truly delicious. The chicken broth with a strong garlic flavor was satisfying, albeit a bit salty - perfect for after a workout. To finish off, we had the chanko noodle soup that Chiyonofuji used to enjoy. The noodles paired perfectly with the soup, making it undeniably tasty. We also tried the zosui using the leftover broth, but the garlic flavor was a bit too overpowering for my taste. Overall, the chanko was really delicious. I will definitely visit again.

When I entered the restaurant, there was an exhibition of Chiyonofuji's rope. I enjoyed chanko hot pot while watching the sumo ring, and ordered the Yokozuna course (about 6000) and Ozeki course. There were also a la carte dishes available. The only downside was that a 10% service charge was added to the bill.

When I called to ask if there would be seats available on the same day during summer, I was greeted with a very kind voice. "Chiyonofuji" is cool as expected! The restaurant itself is also cool! It's a bit of a walk from the station, but the atmosphere makes you forget about that. The chicken dumplings were so delicious. The broth was so tasty that I drank it all up. I want to bring my parents next time.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I learned that I could enjoy chanko, a favorite of my late father who loved the great sumo wrestler Chiyonofuji, at the stable of the former sumo wrestler turned stablemaster, Kunisaki. I was determined to visit this place and made a reservation. The atmosphere was truly impressive! Eating here filled me with a sense of nervous excitement. I chose the Ozeki course, which started with appetizers, sashimi, and tataki, with the dishes being served at a pace that allowed me to savor each one. The tataki had a hint of cilantro flavor which was delicious. The chanko was made with chicken, dashi, and salt, and the seasoning was superb. The dish was filled with chicken, vegetables, and pork. To finish, we added champon noodles to the remaining broth, which was a great way to end the meal. Everything tasted homemade and incredibly delicious. The Ozeki course was more than enough to fill me up. The owner's daughter, Kozue, was there with her friends and she was very friendly. She was not only beautiful but also cute, and it was hard to believe she was the daughter of a sumo wrestler. The landlady even saw us off at the entrance, bowing deeply to us, which made me feel very grateful. It was a fantastic dinner. Thank you very much. I will definitely visit again.

The best space! Enjoying a warm hot pot while thinking of Chiyonofuji was great, I want to go again! The salad was also great, with lots of vegetables. The hot pot included chicken, pork, daikon radish, burdock root, Chinese cabbage, carrots, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, fried tofu, and mizuna. For the finale, you can choose from rice, champon noodles, or udon. I had a fun reunion with friends after a long time.

It's about a 10-minute walk from Kinshicho Station North Exit. It's located on a side street, so you might miss it if you're not paying attention. Inside the restaurant, there are trophies and a sumo ring, making it a great spot for taking commemorative photos with helpful staff. The food overall is delicious. The prices are a bit high, but the fun of drinking in a sumo stable, along with the atmosphere and location, make it worth it.

I visited without a reservation and found that there were plenty of seats available. I ordered the Ozeki course and enjoyed the chanko-nabe which had large daikon radishes and carrots, providing a satisfying meal. The broth was also delicious. The staff were friendly and there was a sumo ring which added to the atmosphere. However, when I asked for the bill, it didn't come. Upon reminding them, they said I had to wait for the landlady. Despite only having the set course and a beer, I had to wait for the landlady (who was joking around with other customers). It was frustrating. I just wanted the bill, not to interact with the landlady. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise pleasant experience. The staff, aside from the landlady incident, were great and provided excellent service. Thank you.

At the entrance, you are greeted by a statue of the stablemaster, and inside the entrance, there are trophies on display, giving it a feel of a Chiyonofuji Museum! As you enter the floor, the dohyo (sumo ring) welcomes you with a bang. The dishes are prepared by the same chef who has been with the stable since the day before, allowing you to taste the same food that the sumo wrestlers eat. Both the a la carte dishes and the main hot pot were incredibly delicious. It felt like a restaurant that was like a power spot.

I was invited by a senior colleague to visit this restaurant for the first time. The restaurant is called "Kyūjū Beya," and it has a sumo ring inside, which creates an exciting atmosphere. I chose the ōzeki course for the day. The difference between the ōzeki and yokozuna courses is the number of appetizers and sashimi served. The chanko hot pot was incredibly delicious, one of the best I've ever had. My senior colleague, who is a born and raised Tokyoite at the age of 60, has tried various chanko hot pots, and even he gave it high praise. The chicken bone salt-based soup was rich and flavorful yet light and easy to drink. The ingredients were well seasoned. For dessert, I had zosui, which was also delicious and satisfying. It was a perfect dining experience, and I will definitely come back. It would be ideal to combine it with watching sumo matches. Thank you for the wonderful meal. P.S. I made a reservation and enjoyed the Yokozuna course. The chanko had a delicious soup, and for the finishing touch, I ordered the most popular champon. Since it would be a waste to leave the leftover soup, I also ordered zosui. I think it might be difficult to make reservations in the future. I was deeply moved by the hospitality of the okami-san, the former Kuniyama oyakata.

First visit. Upon entering from an entrance that looks like a sumo stable, you take off your shoes at the shoe rack and change into slippers. Upon opening the door, you are greeted by a dohyo surrounded by countless moth orchids. Despite having made a reservation, we were seated at a table for two in the middle, with three tables lined up. Why seat us next to a non-reserved pair when there are empty seats on the sides? We were dressed in jackets, but soon enough a guy in shorts sat next to us, ruining the atmosphere. The healthy hot pot was good, but for such an important dinner, I wish they had put a little more thought into it.
