First-time visitor to Dandadan! It really flies! I passed by during lunchtime and it was not crowded, so I decided to visit. This was my debut at Dandadan. I ordered the Hoppy Black set and looked over the menu. Gyoza was a definite order, but I was also intrigued by the minced meat and bean sprouts dish, so I ordered that as well. The minced meat and bean sprouts dish arrived and it was surprisingly large. Even for two people, it was a sufficient amount, so I corrected my order to be served in a bowl. The mildly spicy level of spiciness was pleasant, and it definitely pairs well with alcohol and rice. In fact, everyone from children to seniors can enjoy this endless bean sprout dish. It is a must-order menu item, following the gyoza. As my first glass of Hoppy ran out, I ordered Nakajima. They brought a kettle and said, "Stop when you want us to stop pouring." I didn't say anything to test it, and the glass was filled up, creating a Kinmiya Rock. I didn't feel like the drink menu had outstanding value, but this deal was amazing. I think most people would easily get drunk with two glasses of Kinmiya Rock. Next up was the main event, the pan-fried gyoza. Visually, it looked like a traditional gyoza. The skin was on the thicker side, which I like. I cautiously took a bite, expecting the meat juice to fly out, and it did! The aroma of the meat and the generous amount of meat juice that spread in my mouth was incredible! I believe it was seasoned with miso, and it was tasty enough to eat on its own. However, my personal preference is to dip it in soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil, which makes the gyoza delicious! You have to be careful because if you take your eyes off it for a moment, the meat juice will definitely fly out. However, the taste is undeniably delicious, not to be underestimated for a chain restaurant! As my Hoppy ran out again, I looked at the menu to add another drink and found the "Dandadan Highball," a highly recommended drink with a confident name. It's a highball with beer foam on top. It was surprisingly delicious. If you're already tipsy, this drink will definitely make you feel even better! I also tried the default highball, and the only difference was the 10 yen price gap, being served in a metal tumbler. Definitely try it for the second drink or as your first drink! Also, the highball here is typically served with Suntory whisky, but the fact that you can choose between Yamazaki and Hakushu is a nice touch! Along with the highball, I added the green onion and liver dish, which was also delicious. The low-temperature cooked liver mixed with green onions, sesame oil, and salt was simple yet so tasty! Personally, adding chili oil made it even more delicious. Furthermore, the attention to detail was evident with hand sanitizing upon entry, partitions at every table, and thorough disinfection of empty seats. It was a delightful lunchtime drinking session with gyoza that oozes meat juice, bean sprouts, and liver, paired with Hoppy and Highball. It was really great. I definitely want to come back at night next time.
