It was hot and I wanted to take a break and have a coffee, so I went to Starbucks. However, there was a long line, so I decided to go to this cafe in front of the SL Square where it was easier to get in. I also wanted to stop by the nearby Yodobashi Camera, but it was gone! When I entered the cafe, I saw a display case filled with delicious-looking cakes. If I had been hungry, I might have eaten one. A middle-aged woman in a long maid outfit, reminiscent of a cafe from long ago, brought me water and a menu with elegant gestures. I was impressed by her graceful manners. When I looked at the menu, I was shocked by the high prices! Coming from the countryside, I thought it was expensive just for tea in Tokyo. Even Tokyo residents would find it expensive! It's more expensive than Renoir! Renoir is fine! The chairs are too hard here! The shape of the chairs is uncomfortable! It's not as relaxing as Renoir with its soft chairs. It's a great place for meetings, but if someone specifically chose this place, they might get upset. I was torn between ordering a cake, which I'm sure is delicious, and just having coffee. I decided on coffee in the end! How was the iced milk tea, friend? It was delicious! A mother and daughter sitting at the next table also muttered twice about the high prices when looking at the menu. I'm sorry, I've been to Tsubakiya Cafe on the other side of Shinbashi Station twice before, but I wonder if it's a different store.

I had made plans with a friend and arrived early, so I decided to kill some time. It was a holiday and I entered the cafe around 11:00. The first floor was full, so I was shown to a seat on the second floor. The atmosphere was very quiet and calm. The staff were also very polite and attentive. I don't see Tsubakiya Coffee shops often in Kansai, so I thought it might be like Hoshino Coffee, but I was surprised by the high prices when I looked at the menu. (Ice Cafe Latte 1,250 yen) PayPay

I enjoyed a relaxing time in a calm atmosphere with a cup of specialty blend tea for 1,150 yen (tax included) in front of Shinbashi Station. It's perfect for ladies to chat and for salarymen to work on their computers slowly.

I stopped by a cafe in front of the SL Square in Shinbashi because I wanted to drink coffee around 9 pm. I was a little surprised to see that it was almost full. I ordered the Tsubakiya deep roasted blend. It was a bit pricey at 1150 yen. The coffee was deep roasted and had a strong bitterness, but it was delicious.

I went to Tsubakiya Coffee Shinbashi Salon! It's very rare to find a cafe that is open until night, and this place is very cozy and convenient! The location is also excellent ✨ This time, I had coffee and cake, and both were delicious!

I took advantage of the Minatoku Pitatto shopping campaign and had lunch in Shinbashi. Lunch prices seem to have gone up recently. The beef curry set cost 1,980 yen and included a salad as an appetizer, a choice of drink, and the beef curry. I usually drink coffee, but this time I chose lemon tea. The beef curry had a lot of beef chunks, which made the higher price worth it.

Last time, I had the Amaou strawberry Zucotto at a nearby Tsubaya Coffee shop, and the strawberry chiffon cake looked delicious too, so I came to this shop this time hoping to try it. Unfortunately, it was sold out just like I feared. Instead, I got the shortcake that I had been eyeing and added a drink set with a cafe latte for an extra 110 yen. This shop has smoking on the 2nd floor and non-smoking on the 3rd floor. As I went up to the 2nd floor, a splendid chest of drawers welcomed me, it was really cool. I wonder how old it is. Now, the shortcake and cafe latte. The shortcake is incredibly delicious... The refreshing taste of strawberries wrapped in fluffy sponge and lightly sweet cream is a perfect balance, it's so good. Delicious...! (speechless) There are so many strawberries on it, it's too good to be true...? The cafe latte also has plenty of milk mixed with coffee, creating a very comforting taste. I want to keep drinking this cafe latte here forever. It made me so happy. The staff were kind of theatrical, like they belonged to some underground theater group. It was a bit funny. They could just talk normally. I wonder why. Their uniforms are cute, and combined with the decorations inside, maybe that's why such people gather here.

Adjusting the time, we decided to go to a café and went up the stairs to the second floor. The non-smoking section was quite crowded. I had an iced royal milk tea, which was delicious and a rare treat for me. Personally, I prefer milk tea or café latte without sugar, and I like it when the aroma is strong even with milk added, and this was exactly that. Suddenly, the sound of a steam locomotive whistle echoed in the shop, which startled me, but it seemed to go off at noon. Although it was a bit pricey at over 1,000 yen per cup, I was happy to have found a delicious café. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Tsubakiya Coffee Shop after a long time. The coffee here starts at 1,100 yen per cup. However, it was definitely worth it for the quality taste. Personally, I like a fruity flavor with acidity, so I asked for a light roast. As I sat at my seat chatting quietly with friends, a woman in a maid outfit served the coffee. The coffee had a wonderful aroma. I took a sip and... yes, I really liked the taste. The refreshing acidity spread in my mouth. Ah, it's delicious. This refreshing acidity just doesn't get old. It's 1,100 yen per cup, which is a bit pricey for a cup of coffee. But I think it's worth paying for such a delicious taste.

After having a meal in Shinbashi, sometimes you feel like you want to chat a little more... That's when you can spend some relaxing time at Tsubakiya Coffee or other cafes and coffee shops. Tsubakiya Coffee has a slightly higher price point, which attracts a calm clientele. The retro Showa (Taisho romance?) atmosphere and authentic siphon coffee and homemade sweets make it a nice place to visit occasionally. A cup of coffee there costs about 8-10 times more than a convenience store coffee, and 4-5 times more than Doutor coffee... so I can't go there all the time haha. (Recently, convenience store coffee is surprisingly tasty for its price though). This time, we shared a set of coffee and chiffon cakes - we had half of a wagashi chiffon cake and half of a matcha chiffon cake. The matcha chiffon cake tasted as expected, while the wagashi chiffon cake had a more refined sweetness than I imagined, which I preferred.

Tsutsuya Coffee is a long-established coffee shop with a great atmosphere. It feels like a place where you can relax and enjoy a quiet time, perfect for when you want to work or just unwind. There are people having meetings or conversations, but it's not noisy or crowded. I had a hot latte with a cute heart art on top, and it was delicious and rich. I will definitely visit again.

Cafe located on the 2nd floor of a building right in front of the SL square in front of JR Shinbashi Station. It was very hot in Tokyo on this day, and coming from Hokkaido, the heat felt like hell to me. I was sweating profusely just from walking outside for a few minutes. I had various errands around Shinbashi, so I took breaks at nearby cafes after finishing each task. This shop has a calm, classic atmosphere and is also smoke-free. The location is good, smoking is allowed, and they offer morning menus, so there were many customers even in the morning. To cool down my overheated body, I ordered the "Tsubakiya Special Iced Coffee (1,250 yen)" this time. It was ready in about 5 minutes. The iced coffee had a rich flavor, but since the ice was made from frozen coffee, the taste didn't dilute even as the ice melted, and it remained delicious until the end. Overall, the prices are on the higher side, but due to its convenient location, it is a good place to use for meetings or breaks.

After eating a course meal at a restaurant near Shimbashi Station and feeling like having something sweet with dessert, we didn't want to go far from the station. That's when we remembered this place. I used to come here a lot for a cool down after drinking in Shimbashi before the pandemic. It had been a while, so I decided to visit again. I usually just have coffee, but this time I tried their sweets for the first time. I ordered the matcha chiffon cake set while looking at the showcase. I was expecting something fluffy, but it turned out to be quite firm. It was a cake that goes well with coffee. I ended up having another cup of coffee because of that. The coffee was delicious and worth the price. I didn't notice before because I used to come here late at night and was usually drunk, but Tsubakiya Coffee charges a 20% service fee after 11 pm. I think it used to be a smoking and non-smoking area, but now they have a smoking room. However, you may still smell smoke in some areas. If you want to avoid smoke, it's better to ask for a seat further away from the smoking room.

After searching on my phone for dessert places with a friend at 9:30 PM, we found out that two family restaurants in Shinbashi had closed down, and other places with desserts seemed to be closing early as well. At that moment, we decided to try our luck at this place near SL Square, and to our surprise, they were still open even though it was close to 10 PM! The place was quite crowded, with solo diners and a group of four salarymen all enjoying cake sets. It felt like we all shared a desire for something sweet at the end of the day, and that strange sense of camaraderie made me happy. I ordered a Belgian chocolate cake and coffee, and it was delicious! I left feeling satisfied and grateful that they stayed open late. Thank you for making my friend and I smile! ✨

After drinking in Shinbashi, we were looking for a place where we could continue chatting, and we found this place. It's located right in front of Shinbashi Station, near the SL Square. When we entered the restaurant, we were asked if we smoked, so it seems to be a smoking and non-smoking establishment. Since we don't smoke, we were seated in the non-smoking section. We were seated on the third floor, above the entrance on the second floor. It was dinner time, but most people seemed to be like us, enjoying coffee or dessert and conversation after their meal. I ordered an iced cafe latte. I don't usually go to a restaurant just for coffee, and I'm not a coffee expert, so I was surprised by the high prices on the menu. It seemed like ordering with a cake would be more cost-effective, but we had already had drinks so we passed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and overall not bad. We each ordered an iced cafe latte, and the total came to 2420 yen including tax. Expensive! That impression stuck with me, so I'll leave it at that. It was convenient that we could pay with PayPay. It didn't really resonate with me, but it might be a good spot for coffee lovers or those looking to relax.

I wanted to take a little break in Shinbashi. I looked around for a cafe in front of the SL Square. I saw a sign on the building next to Yodobashi Camera. I thought about going to Pronto on the first floor, but decided to go up the stairs to the second floor where this cafe is located. I ordered the Anniversary Blend coffee for 1320 yen. The interior of the cafe had a retro feel with dark wood and brick. I was seated at an empty table and looked at the menu. The prices were quite high. They had a limited edition blend for the 25th anniversary of Tsubakiya. Since I was already there, I decided to try that. I waited leisurely for my coffee. The clientele seemed to be on the older side, either working or lost in thought, all looking comfortable. The coffee was brought to me. The service was very polite and I appreciated it. The cups seemed to be Royal Copenhagen, very nice cups. I picked up the cup. The coffee had a really nice aroma. It had a crisp taste and was delicious. Sometimes it's nice to enjoy coffee in a cafe like this.

I stormed into a cafe in front of Shinbashi Station! An ice coffee that costs over a thousand yen... so expensive. It had a gentle taste, so it was okay even black. The atmosphere inside the shop was nice, with a nostalgic Showa vibe. However... it's too expensive. Please lower the price to be as gentle as the taste!

In front of Shimbashi SL Plaza, there is a tea shop on the 2nd floor of Shimbashi Toyo Building. I assumed that they offer cake takeout, as I looked at the upscale shop with a banner in the shop color of moss green. I saw a refrigerated display case in front of the entrance indicating that cake takeout is available. I chose the Mont Blanc cake priced at 600 yen each (excluding tax) from the selection of about 10 cakes. I paid with a cashless payment method and was guided to a table to wait for packaging. After about 5 minutes of waiting next to chatting customers wearing masks, a free paper bag with the shop name printed on it was prepared for me. I was escorted to the entrance, where I was given some promotional materials before taking the cake home. For dessert at dinner, I enjoyed the Mont Blanc cake, which was large and had cute chestnuts with skins on top. The taste was not too sweet and had a tea shop-like flavor.

In mid-November, during a break from work, I visited a coffee shop called Tsubakiya Coffee located on the second floor of a building at the back of SL Plaza, just a 1-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. It is a coffee chain operated by Toa Food Service in the Kanto region. Although the prices are a bit high, the retro interior of the shop is calming and the clientele is mostly older, making it a nice place to relax and spend time. Since it was still warm that day, I ordered a cold drink. I tried the Special Iced Coffee for ¥1100, which is an additional ¥100 for the ice, but the coffee is frozen along with the ice so it doesn't get diluted as the ice melts, which is a unique feature. The staff in uniform poured the coffee right in front of me. The coffee had a strong, bitter taste that really woke me up. With this, I feel like I can work diligently in the afternoon as well. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The well-chilled café latte was refreshing and satisfying, providing a moment of rejuvenation. The café is located in front of Shinbashi Station and has a pleasant atmosphere with effective air conditioning, which is much appreciated during the intense heat. Although the pricing is slightly high and I did not try any alcohol or drinks, I would rate this café between 3.0 and 3.5.
