For those who want to eat okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and monjayaki until they're full! A friend and I wanted to eat okonomiyaki in Shinjuku, so we found a great deal at Honjin where you can enjoy a 120-minute all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course for 2580 yen (tax included) instead of the usual 3000 yen. We made a reservation for 4 people at 8:00 PM, which was a busy time, but we managed to secure a spot just in time! The drink options were quite diverse, and the all-you-can-eat menu included a variety of items such as pork okonomiyaki, squid okonomiyaki, cheese okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and many more. I personally enjoyed mixing natto monjayaki with kimchi monjayaki, which was a delicious discovery! The atmosphere was lively, with university students probably having their welcoming party. Overall, it's a reasonably priced and easy-to-use option that I recommend trying out!

We visited around 12:30 on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Originally planning to go to a nearby udon restaurant, we ended up at this place on the main street due to a long line at the udon place. As soon as we entered, we felt an exotic atmosphere... Wait, did we come to a Chinese restaurant? No, it's an okonomiyaki place, right? The staff were mostly Chinese, and Japanese and Chinese languages were flying around the restaurant. We quickly devoured the dishes served to us and it felt like a competitive eating championship (lol). We chose okonomiyaki, modanyaki with bacon and egg, yakisoba, and special yakisoba (pork, shrimp, clam). We selected our favorite items from the menu, one each of wiener, scallop butter, and vegetable platter for ¥3800 set. There was a hot plate where we could cook it ourselves. We had one bottled beer, one juice, and the total bill came to ¥4800. The taste and portion were both homely.

Okonomiyaki can be cooked for you at some places, but most places have a DIY style where you cook it yourself. I haven't seen many places where you cook your own takoyaki, but I found one in Kabukicho! I decided to go check it out. Normally, all-you-can-eat or all-you-can-drink places are common, but I just wanted to cook a little and have a drink. I ordered okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and yakisoba, and the table came with a hot plate for cooking (see photo). It was exciting. The okonomiyaki and yakisoba turned out well, but the takoyaki was not so great. My companion said it was delicious, though... Unfortunately. Sometimes it's nice to have this kind of experience. Thank you for the meal.

Good morning. I am beauty acupuncturist Kozue. The other day, I went shopping in Shinjuku and had lunch at a restaurant called Okonomiyaki Honjin. This restaurant offers all-you-can-eat options. For 1980 yen, you can enjoy 43 different dishes. During lunch hours, there is a 1380 yen option which includes 7 types of okonomiyaki, 7 types of monjayaki, and 3 types of yakisoba, all-you-can-eat for 90 minutes (last order is 30 minutes before the end). Soft drinks can be added for 100 yen. I initially ordered okonomiyaki with cheese tempura and pork yakisoba. The okonomiyaki had a lot of dough and was quite filling. However, the sauce was a bit sour and not very tasty. The yakisoba took 20 minutes to arrive for some reason. You can only order one dish per person at a time, so even though it's all-you-can-eat, you can only order about 3 times within the time limit. The yakisoba was just average. I tried monjayaki for the first time and surprisingly, it was delicious. However, the monjayaki itself was plain and needed the sauce for flavor. It might be more enjoyable to eat with a group of friends. Thank you for the meal.

Hello! Today we started by shopping in Shibuya, then had tea (beer) at Morph, followed by a gin and tonic at St. James, and then a drinking party at Sozai. Finally, we arrived at this restaurant! The sign was very eye-catching, so we were drawn in! It's been a while since I had okonomiyaki! My friend cooked it for me! The way the mayonnaise was put on looks amateurish, but it was delicious! While eating monjayaki...yum yum...seconds please! I love garlic! Sausages are also tasty when grilled! The restaurant was quite crowded, but the staff were efficient, so we didn't have to wait long and were able to enjoy delicious okonomiyaki! After finishing our drinks in Shinjuku, we took the Green Car back to Chiba! We made a stop in Chiba as well, so I will share that experience tomorrow. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I went to a restaurant called "Honjin" to eat okonomiyaki. The restaurant is located on the main street. The impression of the restaurant is not so much about wanting to eat delicious okonomiyaki, but more about wanting to have a lively and fun time with friends. As for the taste of the okonomiyaki itself, it was heavy and powdery, making it difficult to eat. The price is around 3000 yen for all-you-can-eat and drink, which is reasonable, but I don't think I will come back again.

During the midst of Golden Week, we had a late dinner after shopping. It felt less crowded during the day compared to a regular weekend, but at night, it was full of people. We couldn't get into the intended restaurant, so we ended up at a random place. We had some drinks and a proper meal. We ordered the Honjin set, which included: - Okonomiyaki (mixed) - Monjayaki (Stamina monja) - Yakisoba (Gomoku yakisoba) - Scallop and sausage assortment Additionally, we ordered: - Cheese tempura - Buttered potatoes - Dessert ice cream - Alcohol (about 2 drinks per person) Wow, when you list it out, we ate quite a lot... Since it's a self-cook type of restaurant, the taste was to our liking... The okonomiyaki was delicious as well. I particularly enjoyed the cheese tempura with its melty cheese. It seemed like there were many foreign customers, and the cute Japanese intonation from the staff was charming. Even though there were three of us, the Honjin set alone would have been filling enough. However, we were really hungry, so ordering individual items was fun in that case. There were various options, so it was enjoyable to choose together.

After the okonomiyaki event, my friend had a coupon so we decided to go. The okonomiyaki, monjayaki, and yakisoba we ordered were all delicious. I especially liked the beef tendon tempura. The beef flavor permeated throughout and it was really tasty. We were seated in the far back tatami room, and the restaurant had a lot of stairs to navigate. Despite being in the back, if we called out "excuse me," the staff would respond right away with "yes," so it wasn't too inconvenient. The only thing that bothered me was that there was no hole in the grill to let out the smoke. Sitting at a lower table, I was directly hit by the smoke from the grill and my eyes stung a lot. I wish they had better ventilation. The bill came out to around 2000 yen per person. Even after drinking two beers, it was still around that price, so I think the cost performance was good.
