The flyer for Gin no Sara looked delicious, so I decided to give it a try. I was able to order online, which was convenient. The delivery arrived right on time, in 30 minutes. The delivery person's service was average, but not as good as Domino's pizza delivery. Ordering online gave me a 5% discount coupon, but I needed the coupon code from the flyer. They included instant miso soup with the order. This time, I ordered a la carte. Here are my thoughts on the items I tried: - Hikari Zukushi (Assorted fish) for 580 yen: The mackerel, horse mackerel, and saury were delicious and had good value for money. - Engawa (Fluke fin) for 220 yen: Had a nice texture and tasted good. - Yellowtail for 220 yen: Tasted fresh and flavorful. - Fatty salmon for 180 yen: Didn't taste much like salmon. - Negitoro (Tuna with green onion) for 170 yen: Similar to the one you'd find at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. - Eel for 110 yen: The fish was a bit small. - Bincho (Albacore tuna) for 190 yen: Wasn't that great. Overall, the sushi at Gin no Sara was much better than conveyor belt or supermarket sushi, and could easily compete with more affordable sushi restaurants. However, I found that eating sushi alone can feel a bit lonely.

On weekdays, our go-to dishes are affordable sushi and seafood chawanmushi, but sometimes we want dessert too! So, we decided to add the dessert we used to enjoy (Very Strawberry Ice Cream) to our usual order. It's a bit more expensive, but it's a great boost of energy for the afternoon work. We've been having creme brulee a lot lately, but this ice cream is also delicious. Adding dessert to our weekday sushi meal is a nice change once in a while.

I ordered the "Nagomi" and "Seafood Chawanmushi." The usual Nagomi set includes 10 pieces with tuna, squid, salmon, albacore tuna, tsubugai, tamago, amaebi, ebi, ikura, and negitoro. I decided to upgrade the set by paying an extra fee for a change in toppings. I chose to replace the tuna with abalone, squid with engawa, tamago with shimesaba, and amaebi with hamachi. It was a bit extravagant, but I was happy to have all my favorite toppings. I had a hard time deciding which one to eat first.

On July 12, Reiwa 5 (Wednesday), the 3112th day in Tokyo, I had a part-time job near the University of Tokyo in Hongo. On that day, I was asked to stay in and wait for deliveries for lunch due to the staff's schedule, which worked out well as the outside temperature was a scorching 37°C. I decided to order sushi delivery from a major sushi delivery service, taking advantage of their Hokkaido Fair special. I ordered the Hokkaido Fair set of 6 pieces for ¥1598, which included various Hokkaido specialties like octopus, snow crab, scallop, sardine, flounder, and herring. I also added an eel and cucumber roll for an additional ¥410, bringing the total to ¥2008. The sushi was delicious, especially the thick scallop, and the sardine was surprisingly flavorful. Overall, the sushi was worth the price, and I appreciated the delivery service on such a hot day.

Today is Father's Day. My father is not here, but there is a special deal, so I placed an order! The item I ordered is the "Ougi" sushi set. It includes 10 pieces of sushi with large, luxurious toppings such as fatty tuna, salmon, yellowtail, salmon roe, and more. It's recommended for its quality and quantity. It's still possible to order for lunch, but how about having it for dinner?

The lunch special selection has changed its packaging last week, giving it a more luxurious look. I wonder if they raised the price recently? Due to the egg situation, they have started using half the amount of eggs. The chawanmushi also seems to have more broth and less egg. It feels like more than just a packaging change. The special selection nigiri still tastes delicious as always. They deliver affordable and tasty sushi, so I order it quite often on weekdays. Just be aware that you need to place your lunch order by 2 pm. (Just a heads up, you need to bring your own beer.)

I couldn't resist ordering again today, even though it's only been two days since my last order. This time, I got the special nigiri sushi along with two types of chawanmushi - seafood and regular, and some sweets as well. Everything was delicious! My order arrived in less than 30 minutes. The seafood chawanmushi used to come with ikura on top, but it seems they don't include it anymore. The portion size of the regular chawanmushi was smaller than the seafood one. But no matter what, I always love their ikura nigiri! I finished off my meal with a creamy creme brulee. It looks like I'll be able to get through my work with this. Just to be clear, I brought my own beer and coffee at home.

This is recommended for remote work. They offer a special lunch sushi set that you can order from 11:00 to 14:00 on weekdays. The price has gone up recently, and the chawanmushi also increased in price and changed its container. Wasabi is served in small amount so I always ask for extra. The set includes 8 pieces of tuna, squid, salmon, poached sea bream, tsubugai, raw shrimp, kanikama, salmon roe, and tamagoyaki. Personally, I think this sushi chain is one of the best, and I often use it for events. Since it is originally a delivery shop, ordering directly is cheaper than using a delivery site. (Important! Unless you have a coupon for the delivery site.) It may take about an hour during busy times, so it's better to order with some extra time. Just in case... the beer and the Miffy plate are not included.

I used a delivery app promotion to order at a very cheap price. It's a chain restaurant, but the food was delicious considering the delivery. However, the tuna flavor was a bit weak. The delivery guy was very friendly and nice!
