A calm and sophisticated restaurant. I was initially hesitant after mistakenly booking it, as advised by my boss. However, the completely private room allowed me to relax without worrying about others around me, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious, and in the end, it was a great experience. I would love to visit again if given the chance.

This is a convenient shop where you can bring babies and elderly people in private rooms. They have a children's menu as well. I ordered the Ume no Hana meal set. I also added some meat and matcha parfait. Among the three small dishes, the white tofu on the left side tasted like cream cheese and was delicious. I was so engrossed in the meal that I only captured some of the dishes in the photos. The nama-fu dengaku was soft and delicious. The chawanmushi contained shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, ginkgo nuts, and white dumplings that were chewy. The fried tofu had a crispy exterior and a chewy tofu inside. The rice was sweet and delicious with corn in mixed grain rice. They explained each dish carefully and everything was delicious.

I came to Ume no Hana for lunch with a classmate I hadn't seen in a long time. We always used to make reservations at this restaurant for celebrations and lunches, but this time we decided on a set lunch in the morning, so we came without a reservation. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they guided us to a private room in a tatami mat area, which made my friend very happy. It happened to be my friend's 60th birthday, so I informed the staff about it. I remembered a previous birthday where my friend received chopsticks as a gift, so I mentioned it. We both preferred lighter dishes, so we ordered the 2300 yen lunch set with hojicha latte and coffee. The food was served at a leisurely pace, just right for us to finish. The tofu dishes were light and delicious. The young man who served us was polite and calm. Dessert was also served, and although I was hoping for some kind of birthday celebration, nothing happened in the end. When I checked the restaurant's website later, I saw that reservations were required for celebrations, so I realized my mistake. I should have whispered about the reservation-only service to my friend before. I didn't have any expectations, but maybe next time I'll make a reservation.

Lunch at Ayatori was fully booked for table seats and private rooms even three days before the reservation. We ended up in the large hall at a table seat. It was nice to be able to wait in the waiting area even though we arrived at 10:45. It was a rare opportunity for me to catch up with a dear mom friend who always shares dishes with me. We met briefly at the entrance before, but it had been years since we had a chance to chat leisurely like this. She is a picky eater like Melo-chan, so we chose Ume no Hana for our lunch. We spent about two hours there, and both of us started feeling restless after that time. We moved on to another restaurant for salad, mixed rice, and miso soup. The tofu dishes there were as delicious as always, and I was glad my friend enjoyed them too. I returned a bunch of Tupperware containers from our previous trips and received some dishes as souvenirs again this time.

I visited for the first time! I wasn't sure how to order, so I just went with my gut feeling! I wanted to try freshly made yuba, so I ordered the extreme course with pulled-up yuba ♡ I also wanted to try freshly made tofu, so I thought about adding the two-color ankake fukutofu as a single item, but they said they couldn't do it because they only had one IH stove! What a shame... Here is the content of the course: - Mineoka Tofu: It was moist and had a rich taste like cream cheese ♡ The green sauce on top was miso-flavored! - Yuba simmered: Soft yuba with yuzu pepper on top as a nice accent ♡ - Ohitashi: I'm not sure what the ohitashi was made of. - Sesame Tofu (not part of the course): Sesame tofu with a bouncy texture that you can feel the sesame seeds in ♡ - Chawanmushi: Soft and jiggly ♡ Just as I imagined it to be ♡ - Sashimi: Tuna and yamaimo - Crab shumai: A fluffy and large shumai! - Oshinogi taro: It was like a mochi-like dumpling! - Saikyo-grilled cod (not part of the course): Since I ordered meat in the course, I also ordered the Saikyo-grilled cod as a single item ♡ - Tempura assortment: Shrimp, bamboo shoots, and snap peas! It was crispy and delicious ♡ - Nabe (hot pot): I chose the pulled-up yuba! I heard you can only take it about 3 or 4 times, but I managed to take it 8 times ♡ I was able to eat freshly made yuba heated in soy milk ♡ - Namafu dango: It was my first time trying namafu dango, with a firm outer layer and a chewy inside like mochi ♡ - Yuba tempura: Yuba wrapped around tofu and deep-fried in oil, so the crispy and fluffy texture was enjoyable ♡ It also came with lemon, so when I tried squeezing it on top, it completely changed the taste! - Wagyu beef lava grill or Fish Saikyo grill: I chose the wagyu beef! The meat was delicious ♡ - Yuba suimono: Yuba soup, my first time trying it! - Rice dish: It was shrimp and bamboo shoot rice! There was only one small piece of bamboo shoot in mine. - Pickles - Dessert: I chose ice cream with black honey and kinako topping! Overall, it was delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, but the waitress didn't seem to know the menu well, and there was a lack of communication when I asked questions. She also didn't explain the dishes, so that was a bit disappointing. However, there was one staff member who served us once and explained everything clearly, so maybe it was just the assigned waitress who wasn't a good fit? All the rooms were private, and I really liked most of the dishes, so if the service was better, I would have rated it 3.5! Among all the dishes, I especially enjoyed the Mineoka tofu, namafu dango, and pulled-up yuba ♡ Thank you for the meal ♡

I have been to a single-family house in Tachikawa City, Tokyo many times, it's called Umenohana. It might be my favorite family restaurant. The prices are a bit high but I always leave satisfied. The tofu and yuba dishes are healthy and delicious. The Tachikawa branch is spacious with a large parking lot and private rooms. The surroundings with a garden and pond are very relaxing. Today's lunch set came with cold tofu instead of yudofu, but I added it on the side. I also couldn't resist adding the sweetfish. The yudofu and yuba age dishes are my favorites. It was another delicious meal, I am satisfied. I did some research on the company concept after being asked by a friend. Umenohana was established in 1976 as a crab restaurant called Kanishige. It has now grown to approximately 288 branches nationwide. The company's concept is "Gratitude to people and things," focusing on health and healing with their tofu and yuba dishes. Umenohana's first store opened in Kurume, Fukuoka in 1986, targeting women who wanted to treat themselves to a bit of luxury once a month with a traditional Japanese atmosphere. Despite offering course meals priced over 2300 yen in a time when the average lunch price was around 500 yen, the restaurant was fully booked every day due to its reputation for providing a luxurious experience. Word of mouth spread, and the restaurant expanded its branches across Japan.

I arrived at the restaurant for black-haired wagyu shabu-shabu at 5:00 PM. Due to the current situation, there were only 5-6 groups of customers. Since only set courses were available, I ordered the shabu-shabu course. However, the service was extremely slow! In the end, we left without even receiving our rice. When I mentioned this at the register, they apologized and not only did they not charge us, but they also gave us a souvenir. This made me worried for various reasons.

I used the dinner with my child. There is a private room with tatami mats, so it is convenient for those with children! There was also a diaper changing table. It is a clean restaurant and the food was delicious.

The provision of tofu-based drinks was unusually slow. However, the taste of all the drinks was good.

I celebrated my adult cousin who was staying with us. Umegaoka is a great place with excellent service, friendly staff, clean interior, and delicious food. I love their yuba dish. The nama-fu dengaku is also very tasty and my favorite.

It's not exactly Christmas, but it feels like it. Every year, I visit Ume no Hana with my girlfriend (?). It used to be in Kamata, but last year we went to Ume no Hana in Yokohama. This time, we visited Ume no Hana in Tachikawa. It's almost like I'm a regular at Ume no Hana, right? We walked from Tachikawa Station, which took about 20 minutes. Quite a distance. We had made a reservation for the "Tsubaki" course, priced at 5,500 yen, which included 9 dishes: - Silken tofu with shirako (milt) - Yuba and oyster simmered in sansho pepper - Abalone and sea urchin with yuzu jelly - Shrimp shumai - Roast beef salad - Tempura of large shrimp - Anko (anglerfish) miso hot pot - Udon noodles - Dessert All the dishes were gently seasoned and felt good on the body. I won't go into detail about each dish, but I have never been disappointed with Ume no Hana's food. The portion size was a bit small for me. After finishing in about an hour and a half, we called a taxi and went to Showa Memorial Park. We had some time before watching a movie at the Tachikawa cinema, so we spent time at Showa Memorial Park. Coincidentally, fireworks started! Winter fireworks are quite nice too! After enjoying the fireworks, we watched the movie and that was the end of this year's outing with my girlfriend (?). (It's already February, I'm late in writing this). Thank you for the meal! ☆

On June 19, 2016 (Sunday), we visited as a family to celebrate Father's Day. We celebrated my grandfather on my mother's side, and also had a separate celebration for my father. My aunt prepared everything this time, so I was on the guest side. It was a bit refreshing for me as I usually like to be the organizer. The main course was the "Hanayagi Course" featuring crab, tofu, and yuba. There are not many photos, but there was crab, crab dumplings, miso-grilled dishes, tofu gratin, and more, all of which were delicious. Thank you for the feast.

Located in Fukuoka, Umenohana is a well-known restaurant specializing in yuba (tofu skin). I have visited their Kokubunji branch before, but this time I wanted to experience a different atmosphere at their Tachikawa branch, which boasts a garden. The spacious parking lot makes it convenient for those arriving by car. While they offer lunch menus, this time I made a reservation for a kaiseki course to celebrate Father's Day. We were guided to a very clean private room with a view of the beautifully maintained garden through the window, creating a calming atmosphere. The staff greeted us warmly and served each dish with care. The delicate and elegant flavors were evident in each dish, which were beautifully presented in lovely tableware. We opted for the Gokumi course, which included various dishes such as appetizers, simmered dish, yuba hot pot, steamed egg custard, sashimi, crab shumai, lotus root manju, yuba roll, deep-fried yuba, wagyu beef on lava stone, ginger rice, soup, pickles, and dessert. The healthy and gentle flavors left us feeling satisfied by the end of the meal. It was a special dining experience that I would love to revisit on another special occasion. As a bonus, we were even given a souvenir to celebrate Father's Day. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
