I found out about this restaurant through information magazines and SNS, and decided to visit for a girls' night out. The half-circle tables in the interior caught my eye from the beginning. I had a bit of trouble finding the place, as the location was a bit off on Google Maps and Tabelog. It is actually located under the elevated train tracks, in what looks like a newly built house, so I got a bit lost. The restaurant only offers a course menu for ¥15,000 at night. I was delighted to see ankimo as the first dish. I visited in February, and they pride themselves on serving seasonal fish and vegetables, so the dishes were all seasonal and fresh. The sushi pieces had different textures, so it was enjoyable without getting boring. Considering the quality and variety of the dishes in the ¥15,000 course, I was very satisfied. The chef is the younger brother of the chef at "Shoku to Sake Nakamuta," which is reassuring to know they have a family connection in the neighborhood. The course included 4 appetizers, 14 pieces of sushi, soup, and fruit. Thank you for the delicious meal.

First visit. I made a reservation through Tabelog and visited for lunch. It is located near Nishitetsu Hirao Station, along the elevated tracks. The interior is very clean and has a calm atmosphere with a semi-circular counter. I was surprised by the quality of the sushi lunch course priced at 6,000 yen, as it was more than reasonable! Both the variety and quality of the dishes were very satisfying. Even with a beer and 3 additional orders, the total came to around 8,000 yen. The head chef also kindly explained each dish and engaged in friendly conversation, mentioning that his brother also runs a nearby restaurant and talking about sake events. It was delicious! I will definitely visit again!

The restaurant features a counter with curved lines, creating a cozy and calming atmosphere. The dishes are all delicious and offer great value for the price. The location is convenient, within walking distance from Nishitetsu Hirao Station. I definitely want to come back.

This day we used it for entertaining. The counter had only three of us, the master, and one female staff member. The female staff member was bright and friendly, creating a very nice atmosphere. We were able to listen carefully to the client's conversation in a quiet setting, and we were very satisfied. The price was a bit high for what we got, as there were fewer appetizers than expected. It felt like it was ending too soon. Serving the dishes individually rather than all at once might have been better. The sushi rice was delicious as always, and the sushi itself was of course tasty. It might be nice to stop by for a quick lunch. The menu included somen noodles with cucumber and assorted vegetables, sweet shrimp, fried conch, edamame, octopus, abalone, chawanmushi with green tea, red snapper, sea bream, kohada from Kumamoto, herring roe, medium fatty tuna, young yellowtail, scallop, horse mackerel, shrimp, bonito, Japanese sardine, and toro sushi. The meal also included mushroom soup, with an additional option for tamagoyaki. We also had sardines, toro tataki, and a dessert of watermelon and lime on top.

The sushi industry nowadays feels like a bubble... everything is just so expensive. Well, with the rising prices and the growing wealth gap, it's understandable that sushi restaurants catering to the rich can charge high prices without much issue. However, I feel that there are few sushi restaurants where I think, "It was worth paying over 20,000 yen for this course." Personally, I don't seek status, so I judge based solely on whether the food was delicious and satisfying. This time, we visited Sushi Sachi, a cozy restaurant with around 8 counter seats run by a couple. We were there for F-chan senpai's birthday celebration, and as always, the bill was taken care of by the senior H-chan (laughs). Thank you as always. Leave it to me to repay the favor by styling you in fashionable clothes.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on a rainy day. The usual lunch course is 6000 yen, but I requested an additional 2000 yen in advance. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was quiet and calming, although there was some noise from passing trains due to the proximity to the railway. The meal lasted about an hour, with sushi rice mainly seasoned with rice vinegar, a blend of a little red vinegar and sugar. The sushi rice seemed versatile and suitable for anyone without strong preferences. The chef briefly talked about the ingredients, focusing on bringing out the natural flavors. The seared dishes were particularly delicious. The menu included the following items: Ebisu Somen, Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe, Steamed Egg Custard with Seaweed and Sea Bream, Golden Eye Snapper, Aged Shortfin Squid, Amberjack Toro (from Tsushima), Young Sea Bream, Horse Mackerel, Red Clam, Spot Prawn, Gizzard Shad, Fatty Tuna (also from Tsushima), Sea Urchin, Red Miso Soup, Conger Eel, Negitoro, and Dessert. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This is my first visit to a sushi restaurant in Hirao. I went for lunch and it was quite a deal! I can't remember the details, but I don't think it cost more than 10,000 yen per person. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice, and the head chef and other staff members were very friendly and attentive.

I made a reservation on Tabelog and visited the restaurant at 6:00 pm. I took the Nanakuma Line from Hakata Station and got off at Yakuin Station, which is about a 7-8 minute walk away. The chef and two female staff members were working that day, and it was a pleasant experience. The chef, who is originally from Kawasho, was quiet but answered questions politely, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The quality of the sushi was excellent for the price, and I feel like I've found a gem of a restaurant that I would like to continue visiting. The dishes I tried included somen noodles with nori and red clam, sea bream with edamame and homemade vinegar miso, and octopus. The chef's skill in preparing the sushi was evident in each dish. The restaurant had a cozy counter seating arrangement with silverware and cutting boards made of ginkgo wood. I also tried a variety of sweet potato shochu and was generously offered to try two unopened bottles. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

I visited a restaurant that opened in the neighborhood about six months ago. It didn't seem to be very well-known yet, as I was able to make a reservation even at the last minute, but the restaurant was packed when I entered. The owner mentioned that they are siblings of a nearby Japanese restaurant and were looking for a place to open their own shop. The influence of the nearby Nishitetsu train tracks was unavoidable, and the owner occasionally complained about it. The restaurant had beautiful semi-circular tables that added to the ambiance. Both the appetizers and sushi had a clean and refreshing taste typical of Hakata cuisine.

A 6-7 minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station towards Yakuin along the elevated tracks. The exterior is stylish and simple, unified with wood. Inside, you can feel the warmth of wood with an 8-seat semi-circular counter. The atmosphere is great. Start with an Ebisu beer to quench your thirst. Lunch course for ¥6,000 includes: - Sea somen - Steamed bowl with natural sea bream and green tea - Cold sake, Ayaka, Fukuoka, special junmai, refreshing [Nigiri] - Hirame - Kohada - Spear squid - Toro - Kasubo sea bream - Sayori Cold sake 2: Bon, Fukui, junmai daiginjo, sweet - Scallop - Shrimp - Sea urchin red miso soup - Conger eel - Tamago Additional: Sea urchin, kamasu (chef's choice nigiri) Dessert, drink, and other charges are clearly explained in the bill and are reasonable. The lunch course with this content for ¥6,000 is cheap! Enjoyed delicious sushi in a very calming space. Definitely want to visit again.

I revisited the restaurant for dinner because I had a good impression of their lunch. There is a coin parking lot diagonally in front of the shop. The stylish half-circle counter is impressive. My husband had non-alcoholic beer (600 yen each). I tried Ayaka for the first time, it is refreshing and easy to drink. The omakase course for dinner is 15,000 yen (tax included). The foie gras was smooth and well-seasoned, goes well with sake. The mirugai with mustard greens and vinegar miso was delicious. The torigai (fresh from Yamaguchi) with shirako was a delight, especially when lightly seared. The oyster chawanmushi was tasty, and the small oysters from Iroha Island were flavorful. The salt-grilled beltfish was fatty and delicious with grated daikon. The garlic shari uses mainly rice vinegar with a small amount of red vinegar blended in. The flounder had a refined umami taste. The small fin of the fish was surprisingly good. The spear squid was tender and sweet. The golden snapper was the most delicious of the day, with a good balance of fat. The medium fatty tuna had a refined fat and was enjoyable. The tai ragi had a good texture. The horse mackerel was thick and tasty. The grilled saury had a smoky flavor. The shrimp was sweet. The marinated tuna had a good umami flavor. The bafun uni from Funka Bay was delightful. The red miso soup was tasty. The conger eel was fluffy. The tamago was delicious, with a flavor I liked. The dessert was orange and strawberry. The sushi chef was skilled and used fresh seasonal ingredients to create delicious sushi. Even though the price of fish is high, the owner's kindness and dedication to providing good service were evident. The lunch menu may offer a better value compared to dinner, but overall, it is a traditional and excellent sushi restaurant. The total cost for two people, including drinks, was 32,400 yen (tax included; credit cards accepted).

This is a new restaurant that just opened in the winter of 2022. Inside, there is a small circular counter with about 8 seats. The appetizer of squid and vinegar miso was impressive, with a fruity flavor and no sharp edges. The chawanmushi had a delicate yuzu fragrance, and the broth and chawanmushi blended together perfectly. Inside, there were oysters which were delicious. The main sushi dish had easy-to-eat sized shari with a light white vinegar flavor. Although I prefer a stronger red vinegar taste, the lightness made it easy to eat more. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The mackerel had a strong acidity that I enjoyed. The most impressive was the squid sushi. The clever cuts on top and bottom created a contrast of chewiness and softness, making it a wonderful experience. It was light and easy to eat, making it hard to get tired of. The dessert of strawberries and pears was also deliciously sweet. All of this for 6000 yen for lunch is amazing. Thank you for the meal. It seems like you could eat as many pieces as you want with this light taste.【Sushi Koujin】

On Friday (January 20th), I visited Sushi Kounin, which opened in December, for lunch. I had made a reservation through Toreta. The restaurant is located south of Yakuin Station, along the Nishitetsu elevated railway. The interior of the restaurant, which opened last December, is still new, with only an eight-seat semi-circular counter. The chef and the female owner were running the place. The chef was very meticulous in his sushi-making. He was quiet but explained things clearly. The slightly larger shari (sushi rice) was mellow, made with a mix of white vinegar and a little red vinegar. For drinks, I only had non-alcoholic beer because I had drunk too much at Karashima last night, and I have to be careful tonight as well. The meal included: - Appetizer: Watercress salad and squid tentacles with vinegar miso - Chawanmushi (savory egg custard) with scallops - Sushi: Flathead fish, gizzard shad, spear squid, medium fatty tuna, yellowtail, red seabream, tilefish, horse mackerel, ark shell gunkan-maki, shrimp, sea urchin and salmon roe gunkan-maki - Soup: Miso soup with nameko mushrooms and conger eel - Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) - Dessert: Poached pear compote The total amount paid was 6,700 yen (lunch 6,000 yen + drink).

A sushi restaurant that opened in Hirao on 12/15. The owner's brother of the long-established Japanese restaurant "Nakamuta". I found it on Instagram and wanted to visit right away, but I had a busy schedule. (^◇^;) Reservations can be made through the restaurant's Instagram via Toreta. You can choose your reservation time, which is nice. There is no parking at the restaurant, but there is a coin parking right in front. It's about a 6-7 minute walk from Hirao Station. The interior is a stylish space with a semi-circular counter. It can accommodate up to 8 seats, but on this day there were 6 seats. The prices include tax. Non-alcoholic beer (600 yen) and Heineken (800 yen). The lunch omakase is 6,000 yen. Watercress and squid legs in vinegar miso dressing... I like the taste of vinegar miso. Steamed egg custard... The seasoning is a bit strong, but delicious. The pickled ginger is also tasty, and they add more without you having to ask, which is nice. Some restaurants don't notice when it runs out, so it's a good impression. The sushi rice is blended with a small amount of red vinegar, and the slightly larger size of the nigiri is pleasing in Hakata where smaller ones are common. Needlefish... Good texture and you can feel the umami when you chew. Small fin... Perfectly seasoned and delicious. It's been a while since I had needlefish nigiri, and the liver is also delicious. ^^ Kawahagi with liver... It's been a while since I had Kawahagi nigiri. The liver is also delicious. ^^ Tailray... Even in small amounts, when seaweed is added, you can feel more umami. The texture is also good. Mackerel... Delicious with umami. *Duke... Since I cannot eat mackerel, I was served "duke". It has a taste of red meat and is delicious. I feel like I gained something. ♪ Spot prawn... Sweet. Sea urchin... You can feel the umami, and the seaweed is crispy. I was impressed that they served sea urchin, which is currently expensive, at this price. Conger eel... Fluffy. Tamago is on the sweeter side, which my husband likes. Nameko red miso soup. Dessert is "pear". A Beatles teacup... I saw it on Instagram and was curious. I asked to see it, and it's made of Hasami ware. I want this. Drink menu... It's nice to have prices listed on the drink menu. The owner is a calm and polite person, not very talkative, but responds politely when spoken to. For 6,000 yen, the quality of the sushi was better than I expected. The nigiri was beautifully made, and it was a traditional and delicious sushi. When I asked, the dinner price is 15,000 yen including tax. My husband liked it and wants to revisit at night, so I made a reservation for the next time, a little ahead. Looking forward to it. ♪ For two people, including drinks, it was 13,400 yen (tax included: credit cards accepted).

✔️Chef's Choice Lunch Set (¥6000) I visited a newly opened sushi restaurant in Hirao for lunch. ~Menu~ ▷Hirame (flounder) ▷Ika (squid) ▷Toro (fatty tuna) ▷Mirugai (geoduck) ▷Kisu (Japanese whiting) ▷Sayori (halfbeak) ▷Hagatsuo (skipjack tuna) ▷Kurumaebi (Japanese tiger prawn) ▷Uni (sea urchin) ▷Anago (sea eel) ▶︎Tamago (egg omelette) ▶︎Ohitashi (boiled vegetables in broth) ▶︎Kaki no Chawanmushi (oyster steamed egg custard) ▶︎Akadashi (red miso soup) ▶︎Fruit (Western pear) The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with only 8 seats at the counter, and you can feel the warmth of the wood. The stylish curved counter adds a nice touch to the space. The sushi set consisted of 10 pieces with larger-sized rice that was gentle and smooth. With only two groups dining that day, the service was quick, and I was able to finish dining within an hour. The playful touch of using a Beatles-themed teacup added to the charm of the traditional Japanese setting. It was a delightful and delicious sushi experience. Thank you! ☺️❤️
