On a Saturday night, we made a last-minute reservation and went as a party of two. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The King's platter included sashimi, meat, and tofu beautifully arranged for two people! The oysters and sashimi were delicious! We also enjoyed the sashimi with just a sprinkle of salt. The thick slices of meat were tender and tasty! The tofu had a rich soybean flavor, sweet and delicious! The kue dashi oden was more like a different Japanese dish than oden, but the concentrated umami broth was delicious and elegant in taste! We indulged in the tempura and other side dishes, and even the mixed rice was delightful! Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal! Truly a popular izakaya in Kyoto. I would love to come back again when the timing is right. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I found an izakaya in Kyoto where I could make a reservation online through Tabelog. I made a reservation the day before and visited for the first time on a holiday night. There was a seating charge of 500 yen per person. We had three small dishes. The boiled potatoes with skin on were deliciously fluffy. The boiled cabbage and pork dish had a very tasty broth. The octopus vinegar dish was refreshing. The homemade water kimchi was 600 yen and included a variety of colorful vegetables such as carrots, bell peppers, chives, radishes, cucumbers, and cabbage. The kimchi was fresh, spicy, and not too red. The dish was served in a beautiful dish by Rosanjin. The "King's Assortment" was 1900 yen per person and included a variety of sashimi served in a large elegant dish. The sashimi consisted of fresh local fish from Nagasaki such as akou, gure, nizadai, kimeji, and kamasu. The Japan Sea warrior shrimp was large and satisfying to eat. The Kitayama tofu had a wonderful aroma. The raw squid liver sashimi was rich and paired well with beer. The local chicken breast shabu-shabu was tender and went well with the mild plum flavor. The white corn was very sweet and served as is. The fried head of the warrior shrimp was crispy and juicy. The accompanying cold pumpkin somen was sweet and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The "66art" grilled chicken skewers were 850 yen and made from grilled chicken breast meat. They were flavorful and tender, with crispy skin and a hint of salt. The accompanying green onions were also delicious. We had two bottles of beer for 600 yen each, which went down smoothly. The Fresh Fruit Chuhai with lemon was 700 yen and had a generous amount of freshly squeezed lemon. Although I don't eat lemons, I enjoyed the other fruits in the drink. The ingredients were of high quality and very delicious. The portions were generous and satisfying, and the presentation was beautiful. I finally had my debut at Rosanjin and felt that the experience was worth more than the price. The staff were friendly and engaging, sharing various stories with us. I would definitely like to visit again.

There were many fish dishes with a lot of attention to detail, and they were all very delicious. The portion sizes were adjusted accordingly, and the staff were very friendly. They even made tempura out of shrimp heads for me. The atmosphere was great, and I will definitely be going back again. ♡

I saw a post on Instagram from a group customer saying they had to cancel an hour before their scheduled time and were in trouble. I called to make a reservation after seeing the post, but the response was like, "What Instagram post?" which felt a bit off. I still went to the restaurant. I didn't ask the staff, so this information may not be accurate, but I think that's how they do business. It would have been nice if they had written something like, "We still have seats available today!" Instead. I felt a bit disappointed. I mentioned that if there were any items left from the menu planned for the group, I would order them, but the staff seemed unsure if such a thing existed. On that day, we ordered a platter for two, dried firefly squid, yakitori in local style, and roasted deer, along with 5 drinks for two people, which came to about 16,000 yen. Hmm, it's expensive. I wonder if there was a mistake in the bill? I'm not sure, but I felt disappointed by this incident, so I probably won't go back.

This time, I reserved this restaurant for a workplace appreciation party. The reviews were quite positive, so I had high expectations. The staff were very friendly and created a fun atmosphere. We had a 2-hour all-you-can-drink course for 6600 yen, which was well worth the price. The sashimi at the beginning was outstanding, almost like something you would find at a high-end restaurant. The other dishes were also good, especially the conger eel tempura was excellent. It would have been even better if there was dessert, but overall, it was a very satisfying course. I would definitely like to come back. Thank you for the meal.

A popular izakaya in Saiin. It's located underground. The service from the staff is excellent, they explain the dishes well and are quick to refill drinks. We had the assorted sashimi, fried eggplant, fried chicken with pickled shishito peppers, and cream pasta. Everything was really delicious, especially the cream pasta with shirasu and cabbage, the butter and dashi flavors were so soothing. I also enjoyed the banana shochu highball, the banana flavor was sweet and delightful. I usually eat a lot of meat, but I think seafood izakayas are also great.

The welcome party at the company also served as a closing of business. The dishes included appetizers, sashimi, tempura, venison, and more, all of which were delicious and some even featured rare ingredients. Everyone was very satisfied until the end of the meal. The service was attentive and excellent. Thank you for the feast.

I visited this restaurant because it had high ratings on Tabelog and I was curious. The exterior and surroundings are a bit deep, making it a bit intimidating to enter, but the inside is clean and welcoming. I ordered the 6600 yen course, which includes all-you-can-drink alcohol. As a fan of alcohol, I found the drink selection a bit lacking. However, the sashimi platter was amazing and really satisfied both my heart and stomach. It featured rare and high-quality fish that were delicious. The spareribs were also tasty with a nice spicy kick. Although I didn't try it this time, I heard that if you ask in advance, you can also enjoy monkfish sashimi. I'm intrigued and will definitely come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Near Saiin Station, there is a mix of old streets and new shops, creating a vibrant energy. The King's Assortment is the signature dish, served in a wooden bucket. The sashimi is made from fresh fish directly from Nagasaki, expertly prepared. The chicken breast with plum, tofu, and sweet Japanese prawns are all delicious. The grilled spare ribs and lotus root bun were also excellent. The curry soba was a perfect way to end the meal, with a light curry flavor that paired well with the chewy noodles. They also offered a variety of sweet potato shochu to enjoy with soda. It's amazing that such a wonderful restaurant exists.

It's been 4 years since I last visited 66art. I've been coming here for over 10 years since my first visit to Kyoto. This was my first visit since the pandemic started. The food was delicious as always. I also ordered pickles, had a few drinks, and then left. The food and drinks here are always delicious, and the atmosphere is great, so it's still one of my favorite places. The wine is tasty and the bottles are affordable, so I want to come back and enjoy a leisurely drink here next time!

This time, I used it during a business trip. I had made a reservation in advance and was looking forward to visiting. It was a visit with gourmet related to work, so I chose the most expensive course with all-you-can-drink. Here are my thoughts: ① The food was luxurious! The seasoning and dashi were ordinary. Especially, the deer was delicious! ② The all-you-can-drink option was disappointing, as it didn't differ much from general chain izakayas. It seemed like you could order more with an additional charge, but we decided not to. ③ The staff, in this time of the coronavirus pandemic, talked at a rapid pace, which was quite surprising. Thank you very much!

I forgot to post this a while ago, but I had a delicious meal that I reserved. The tempura and sashimi were delicious, especially the tiger prawns which were amazing. They were so firm and sweet. The curry at the end was made with tiger prawn broth, so it was full of flavor. I feel like going back again!

Visited this restaurant for the first time during a trip to Kyoto. Ordered a course with all-you-can-drink for 6,000 yen per person. The dishes and drinks were plentiful and of high quality. The clientele was younger than expected, with mostly people in their early 20s at surrounding tables. The sashimi included unique options like koubanzame, and they served pasta and yakisoba for the finale, showing creativity in their menu. Each dish was explained thoroughly when served, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to quality ingredients. I particularly liked how they noticed my fast drinking pace and automatically switched to larger glasses from the second drink onwards. Their attention to detail and personalized service impressed me. Although some staff members were not wearing masks despite the ongoing pandemic, this seemed to be common in the area. The meal ended with a cheerful "ookini" (thank you) as we left. I would definitely consider revisiting this restaurant if I have the chance.

It's been a long time since I visited 66art. On this day, we ordered a sashimi platter with additional giant shrimp, fried white shrimp, grilled nodoguro, and tempura shrimp shells that came with the sashimi. Even though we didn't order a lot, it was enough for two people. The sashimi was really delicious! Most of the sashimi tasted great with just a little salt. It's been a while since I last came, but if you want to eat sashimi in Nishin, this is the place to go. The complimentary side dishes were satisfying, with small portions of different items. This is definitely one of the restaurants I want to visit regularly.

It was a calming atmosphere where you could enjoy the food! The staff were kind and very attentive! The sashimi was impressive, I couldn't help but take a picture (laughs). I'm happy to have such a delicious restaurant in the local area (laughs). The food is very delicious and it's a highly satisfying restaurant! ✌️

Here is 66 Art. The dishes are as delicious as the reviews say! They serve thick slices of conger eel that weigh 3 kilograms. The friendly owner provides excellent service and even offers free drinks after the first one to celebrate the end of the state of emergency. This place has a great service spirit that will leave you impressed.

I went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from a foodie friend. Since it's the off-peak season, I was able to get a table without a reservation (they were fully booked when I tried to reserve twice before). The sashimi platter was recommended to me and it included some rare items like giant shrimp. The presentation of the sashimi was amazing, with attention to detail in the plating and serving dishes. The giant shrimp head was later served as tempura, which was a nice surprise. The fish dishes were creative and delicious. The tofu served with salt and wasabi was also surprisingly sweet and tasty. There was a good selection of sake, but the shochu options were a bit limited. Overall, I think this restaurant is perfect in terms of service, food quality, and value for money. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited this restaurant for the first time! It was always full so I'm glad I made a reservation. Reservations are a must! The dishes are a bit small in portion? But you can try various types of dishes and they are willing to accommodate various requests. We went with three people, so they gave us a generous amount for sharing...lol The service from the staff was very polite and nice. ←It wasn't exactly as mentioned in the reviews. The food was delicious and the presentation was lovely! The only downside was that the dishes came out a bit slowly... But I would like to go again!

It's the beginning of the year, but we entered around 9 pm and waited for about 10 minutes. I was impressed by the assorted sashimi, it was so fresh and of high quality. I could really feel how the salt made it melt in my mouth. I got to try some rare sashimi that I don't usually eat, and it made me feel very happy! The tofu was also delicious. The staff were very kind.

I asked the bartender at the BAR in Saiin and visited here! It is located a little southwest from Saiin Station. It's kind of semi-basement, so there is a sign, but it's a bit hard to find. The place is always bustling! The seating is close, so some may feel a bit cramped, but that's part of the charm of the place. The menu is diverse and rich, offering a variety of sashimi and fried dishes that you can combine as you like. I'm not sure about the pricing, but there are many reasons why the food is delicious. The sashimi platter is full of lively food items haha It's an interesting izakaya! However, it's a bit disappointing that the serving time is long.

I stopped by on my way home from work. It was fully booked, but they opened up a counter seat for me. The sashimi was fresh and delicious! There were 4 staff members who efficiently managed the restaurant and provided great service. I also ordered sweet and sour pork and pasta later, and they were delicious too!
