Located in the area of 2-14-18 Yakuin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City - just a 5-minute walk from Yakuin Odori Station on the subway! This place opened in October 2021, with the head chef hailing from the popular yakitori restaurant "Hyogotori/Akasaka"! Since its opening, it has become a highly sought-after restaurant with dishes that live up to fans' expectations. The interior offers counter seats and table seats, with a stylish and modern Japanese atmosphere that is casual and inviting. We opted for the "Chef's Choice Course", which includes 4 appetizers and 10 skewers. Starting with the "Chicken Broth Chawanmushi" - a gentle and flavorful dish with a rich chicken broth. Next, the "Kombu-marinated Black Satsuma Chicken" had a perfect balance of flavors with the Tosazu vinegar. The "Chicken Thigh Meat" was cooked perfectly with a crispy skin and juicy, rich flavor. The popular "Foie Gras Pate Sandwich" was shaped like a koban coin and paired excellently with figs and walnuts, making it a perfect companion to white wine. The "Black Satsuma Chicken 'Furisode' and 'Sandsuri'" showcased the deliciousness of the chicken, with a perfect balance of meat and fat. The "Salad" was a refreshing break before indulging in the delicious "Tsukune". The "Bonjiri" and "Seseri" were perfectly grilled, with just the right amount of salt for a delicious finish. The "Kimo" was on par with foie gras in terms of taste. The "Chicken Wing Tips" were crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The "Chouchin" with a quail egg popping was excellent, especially when paired with the Seseri. The meal ended with a "Grilled Rice Ball" topped with a quail egg and a bowl of ramen, leaving us fully satisfied. Overall, it was a fantastic yakitori course that Fukuoka can be proud of. The seating mainly consists of a counter, with one private room available for up to 4 people. The interior is simple and stylish, unlike typical casual yakitori restaurants. The set course is 6600 yen per person, and à la carte options are available after 9 p.m. It's recommended to check their Instagram for their closing days. The chef used to work at the popular restaurant "Hyogotori," so expectations are high. The course starts with grilled eggplant, showcasing seasonal deliciousness. The tataki uses Oshioyama chicken, bringing out the umami flavor. The liver pate sandwich is a classic menu item with a crispy sandwich texture and rich liver pate flavor. The skewers include chicken tail, green onion with chicken, chicken cartilage, asparagus, chicken meatball, tail tip, quail, fresh ginkgo nut, chicken diaphragm, and chicken neck. Personal favorites were the cartilage, meatball, tail tip, and fresh ginkgo nut skewers. The chicken diaphragm was a unique and tasty find. For the finale, you can choose from dishes like minced chicken bowl or chicken soba, and I opted for the chicken soba, which was delicious with a rich chicken broth. I have always wanted to visit this restaurant. There seems to be seating at the counter and one private room. The interior was bright. The yakitori was all wonderful. Personally, I wanted to have another juicy tsukune. There were 4 choices for the closing dish, and the ramen was good. There was a wide selection of wines. I would like to try wine next time. Thank you for the meal. I would like to visit again.

"Delicious yakitori, wonderful service, and HERMES hand soap" On July 8, Reiwa 5, I recently intentionally wandered around this area. The well-known yakitori restaurant, Mako. The atmosphere and service are clearly different from other places. You can feel the passion of the head chef. The course menu for 6600 yen includes beer, Calera Chardonnay, red wine, sweet potato shochu on the rocks, and grilled rice balls. The long eggplant from Kumamoto and quail eggs were outstanding, but what stood out was the temperature control of bottled wine, the head chef personally pouring wine into the guests' glasses, and the pleasant service from the female staff on the floor. In the restroom, there is HERMES hand soap with a lovely fragrance that envelops you in happiness. I was completely oblivious to the chance while sitting in a restaurant that I wanted to go to, but my friend unexpectedly chose that same restaurant. I am grateful for having a friend whose taste in food matches mine. Now, the restaurant is on the second floor, so when you get off at the Yakuin 2-chome bus stop, be careful as it is not immediately visible across the street. Once you go up to the second floor, if you see a beckoning cat in front of the restaurant, you have found the right place! The restaurant has a compact layout with a counter for about 10-12 people and a semi-private room. Despite the small size, there are thoughtful touches like storage for belongings and coat hangers, creating a stylish atmosphere. Most importantly, despite the food being grilled right in front of you, there is no smoky smell. You can feel at ease even when dining with an important woman without worrying about your clothes smelling. The head chef efficiently grills the food alone in this cozy atmosphere. The wine menu is extensive, and despite sitting at the counter, you can converse without being bothered by other customers. The drink selection also leaves a good impression. With my friend who loves wine, the wine menu is also diverse. The course starts with marinated seaweed, followed by a liver pate in a pastry shell. Then, skewers are served in sequence, and the timing of each dish is perfect. As you eat the previous skewer and cleanse your palate with sake, the next one arrives smoothly. Additionally, there is a unique condiment called "black shichimi" apart from the usual condiments like sansho pepper, offering a different flavor experience. (It tends to clump due to moisture, so a light tap can help loosen it.) Female customers are provided with utensils to remove bones, so even on a date, your girlfriend can feel at ease. During the break with a steamed egg custard, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal until the end... Wait, there's a last course? Wanting to taste the chicken broth, I ordered the ramen. Upon seeing my friend's dish later, I realized the correct choice would have been the "chicken rice." The ramen was delicious, but considering the opportunity to have chicken broth at the end, I personally think it's luxurious to eat chicken mince with half-cooked egg on rice. You can also choose the last course, so look forward to it. According to my friend who frequents this restaurant, the clientele here is good... I felt that being able to have a quiet and relaxing time in a lively grilled chicken genre restaurant where you can't choose your customers is solely due to the atmosphere created by the restaurant. By the way, despite it being my first time seeing the head chef, when I mentioned it to my friend after leaving the restaurant, they said it was a "branch restaurant of Hyogodori," and everything made sense.

Today, I visited a yakitori restaurant. I had Burgundy wine, a beautiful white wine. They have a wide selection of wines. For appetizers, I had marinated chicken breast with kelp, which was very clean and tasted like Japanese cuisine. I also had grilled Miyazaki chicken breast and thigh with kabosu and ponzu sauce, liver pate with grated daikon, grilled cartilage, salad, eggplant from the Kinki region, tsukune, quail, bonjiri, chawanmushi, chicken neck meat, potato, and chicken thigh meat with a delicious taste. The yakitori was very delicious, and the grilling was fantastic. I will definitely visit again.

The delicious taste is consistent as always ┌(安 ˙-˙ 定)┐ This is my second time here, but they remembered me and the atmosphere is great too (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ I am completely satisfied with the taste and service!! After a long time, I finally went back to this place. I ate a lot. I tried to stop at one point but they kept grilling more for me, haha. The first dish was just right, and then it was a parade of skewers that was really fun. Each skewer had a different level of heat when it was grilled, which changed the texture. The salt wasn't too strong, so it was easy to eat. I ended up ordering 6 more skewers. There were a lot of organ skewers, which I couldn't resist. For the finale, I had ramen and grilled rice balls. Ramen as the finale?! The soup had a unique and delicious flavor that wasn't just about the chicken. The grilled rice balls were as cute as ever. They used to have a lot of collaboration menus, but I personally prefer the current menu at Yakitori Makomako. I was so full in the end, but I managed to finish by drinking the chicken soup.

Popular yakitori restaurant! The interior is lovely, and the owner has a kind and gentle demeanor. There is a time limit on weekends, but they allowed us to sit until the last minute, showing great consideration. The asparagus chawanmushi is delicious with fresh vegetables and a flavorful broth! The specialty pate in a monaka container feels like good luck is coming! The Kutani ware, Baccarat, Karatsu ware, etc., all have a sense of fun and are enjoyable items. The place is always full, but each guest is treated with care and a gentle atmosphere. Please continue this for a long time! I would like to visit again.

The tare sauce they use is also delicious. Personally, I think it's the best yakitori in Hakata. If you love yakitori, I highly recommend it. I visit this store regularly. We went to Yakitori Maco with my wife for the first time. The menu is course limited, but you can also order individual items depending on the day. We were both nervous about whether we could impress my wife. However, the restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, and the careful preparation made us wonder about the ingredients and where they came from. The minced chicken bowl and grilled rice balls were outstanding. The atmosphere of the restaurant, mainly at the counter, was not noisy but provided a space where you could enjoy your time with loved ones. We definitely want to go back with my wife.

I visited this place for the first time because someone had made a reservation for me! Lately, I've been eating a lot of yakitori! The menu was only course meals. We had sashimi, shirako, liver pate, skewers, and soup. Everything was excellent! I think this place is top class in Hakata. For the finale, we had minced meat rice and ochazuke, two types of dishes! I made a reservation at the popular yakitori restaurant "Yakitori Mako" in Yakuin, which had been open for less than a year, and surprised my visit. There is a beckoning cat at the entrance, and there are many cats inside the restaurant as well. The menu is a 5,000 yen chef's choice course. You can enjoy the delicious yakitori in a beautiful and spacious counter seating. The doneness and saltiness of the yakitori were perfect, and I was very satisfied with the one-dish chicken dishes as well. The owner is a former nursery school teacher from Hyogo, and the service was gentle and the atmosphere was comfortable. It's a great place for a date, family gathering, or business dinner. Highly recommended by gourmet enthusiasts, this restaurant has been on my list for a while. At the entrance, there is a Baccarat-made beckoning cat exuding an elegant yet powerful presence. Upon entering nervously, the warm wooden interior creates a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant has a counter with 10 seats and one private table. The menu consists of a set course of four dishes and 10 skewers only. Additional orders for skewers and rice dishes are possible. The chef, who honed his skills at Hyogo bird, presents a course featuring new onion salad with mozzarella, quail with anchovy, chicken wings with white wine sauce, combining Japanese ingredients with French and Italian influences. Each dish is carefully crafted, and the flavors were a delightful surprise. In particular, the liver pate in a pastry shell with walnuts and dried figs inside was delicious with a unique texture. I highly recommend taking a photo with the cat and the coin display. For the additional choice of dish at the end, I opted for the grilled rice ball without hesitation. It exceeded my expectations and was the perfect ending to the meal. Even without the extras, the ¥5500 course was quite generous in portion. I will definitely be back for more delicious yakitori. This restaurant in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, has been gaining popularity recently. I found out on Instagram that it is the birthplace of my favorite Hyogo bird, and that they also have collaboration projects with various famous restaurants. Excited by the high level of originality in their course menu, I made a reservation for dinner with a friend. We were able to book a private room a week in advance. The restaurant mostly has counter seats, with only one platinum seat available as a private room. The course costs 5,500 yen per person, with additional options for the ending dish. Since we were short on time, we opted for the pure course without the ending dish. The restaurant surprised us with a unique approach from the start, not just focusing on yakitori. They added their own twist to dishes like liver and monaka. The dishes paired well with alcohol, and their selection of sake was excellent, with rare options available at reasonable prices. The skewers were consistently well-cooked with great seasoning, and the vegetable skewers, including quail, were of high quality. We enjoyed a variety of drinks at reasonable prices. Experience the true value of this versatile yakitori restaurant that is rapidly gaining popularity in Fukuoka.
