In Tokyo, there is a popular shop in Arashiyama that is always crowded but worth the wait. They offer discounts when purchasing coffee beans in kilos. I visit this shop every 2-3 months and always make a stop at Nanaji, an izakaya in Sanjo, to buy their coffee beans. The shop in Fujii Daimaru is more accessible, but they do not offer discounts for kilo purchases. It is much more cost-effective to buy from the shop in Arashiyama. This time, I bought a kilo of Arabica blend for ¥5200 and a lemon sparkling drink for ¥500. The packaging was ready, so I could pick it up quickly, but there may be a wait at times. It's best to buy before your planned schedule. Not only is the coffee delicious, but their other drinks are also great. I couldn't resist buying the lemon sparkling drink, it's my favorite. I usually only write three reviews for a place, but I felt it was important to share the post-COVID crowd situation, hence this fourth review. I will continue to visit regularly. Thank you for the delicious meal!

On Sunday morning around 9:30, there was a line of about 10 people at the store. The store had a stylish design with a predominantly white color scheme, and it felt very clean. It was my first visit, and I ordered an iced Kyoto latte with a baguette, while my wife ordered a hot Kyoto latte. After taking a sip, I was surprised by the difference. It had a smooth texture and a clean aftertaste without any bitterness. Personally, it was the most delicious latte I had ever had. The Kyoto latte apparently had condensed milk in it, so it might not be suitable for those who prefer bitterness, but for me, who doesn't like bitterness, it was the perfect latte. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering another one before leaving. Thank you for the meal.

Both Japanese and foreigners are lining up here. A few years ago, during the coronavirus pandemic, when people disappeared from Arashiyama, there were still quite a few people lining up, so I think this is a very popular shop in Kyoto Arashiyama. However, since it is a takeout shop, the line surprisingly moves relatively quickly, so don't be discouraged and try lining up. If you want to enjoy latte art, go for the hot latte. You won't get latte art on an iced latte. The photo shows a Kyoto latte and an Americano. It's unclear if they were out of stock for the plastic cups for iced drinks or if it's the default, but the iced coffee was also served in a paper cup.

Before 2 o'clock on Sunday. There was an advertisement on Instagram saying "Stickers available", so I went to buy some and also had a coffee. Arashiyama was full of foreigners, and about 90% of the people in this Arabica cafe were foreigners. There were over 10 people waiting inside the cafe, but luckily there was no line outside. It was quite manageable. I ordered and then lined up inside the cafe. After about 10 minutes, I received my iced latte. Three cute girls were silently working together in the cramped space, diligently making espresso. I could only feel grateful. The embankment of the Hozen River (Katsura River?) was scorching hot, but the foreigners were sitting down and taking commemorative photos with the biggest smiles on their faces. Their bottoms must have been burning. Near Togetsukyo Bridge, there were fewer tourists, probably due to the extreme heat. The rickshaws were operating as usual, but I was worried they might collapse from the heat. There was a security guard in front of the cafe, making sure the line didn't spill onto the road, but it seemed tough in the heat. I am also grateful for that.

I came near Arashiyama, so I decided to stop by for the third installment of my "while I'm here" series. Since it's a tourist spot, there are more foreign visitors than Japanese. I couldn't find drip coffee, so I ordered an iced Americano. The bitterness was relatively mellow, making it easy to drink. Americano tends to have a lingering bitterness that can be a bit overpowering, but this one was delicious even without adding any cream or sugar. A must-visit stand when in the area.

Fashionable... Instagrammable. Just a simple logo, but... The cafe latte is delicious no matter when you drink it. There is only rental space available for drinking inside the store. About 90% of the customers for takeout were foreigners. The open and airy interior blends in with the scenery, so I am grateful for the hardworking staff who brew delicious coffee while being exposed to the public eye.

I went around noon on Sunday. I waited and waited! The line was so long. It took about 1 hour to place an order. And then about 30 minutes to get the food. Most of the people around were foreigners! I was prepared for it, but it can be tough in the summer. Those who line up in the summer, please be careful of heatstroke. It's cool inside, but there are a lot of people.

This is a popular cafe often seen on social media and magazines. Even on weekdays when it's not cherry blossom or autumn foliage season, there's always a long line. I wonder how crowded it gets on weekends during peak seasons. The taste is as good as Starbucks (lack of vocabulary skills, haha). Just by holding this cup while strolling in Arashiyama, I strangely end up looking stylish to others, haha.

I was hesitant to join the long line, which included foreigners, but decided to do so since I was already there. I don't drink coffee much, but I like café au lait, so this time I ordered a Kyoto Latte. The staff told me that it was made with condensed milk. It was the best latte I've ever had! It was rich and creamy without a strong condensed milk taste. I definitely want to drink it again!

ARABIKA Coffee in Arashiyama is mostly visited by tourists, and there was a long line. We waited for 30 minutes to get our takeout order, but it was worth it. The sweet latte was delicious, although we might have given up if it wasn't for my friend's request.

When my partner and I visited Arashiyama, my coffee-loving partner expressed a desire to try the coffee at this shop, so we went there. We arrived around 10 am on a Saturday morning, prepared to wait in line, but it wasn't too crowded, and we were able to enter in about 15 minutes. It's located just a short walk from the north end of Togetsukyo Bridge. Please note that it's mainly for takeout, but you can pay an additional fee to sit inside, although no one was sitting inside when we visited. Since the shop is right in front of the Katsura River, it's nice to sit by the riverside and enjoy your coffee on a sunny day. The simple and cute "%" logo used by this shop can be seen on cups, the shop's exterior, and more. It's said that taking a photo with this logo and posting it on social media will make your picture stand out. We both ordered the "Kyoto Latte (Hot)" (8oz for 500 yen) and enjoyed the freshly brewed coffee. The aroma of the coffee beans in the shop was delightful. They also sell various coffee beans from different regions, which you can enjoy browsing through. The Kyoto Latte had a rich coffee aroma, with a slightly strong espresso flavor balanced well with the milk. It had a soft and gentle overall taste, with a lingering aftertaste that you can savor. The name "Kyoto Latte" might be aiming to capture Kyoto's elegant and refined image. Don't forget to appreciate the detailed and beautiful latte art created by skilled baristas. They also offer matcha lattes and lemonades, so it's a great place even for those who aren't big fans of coffee.

I arrived at the cafe around 3:30 pm and waited in line for about 40 minutes. Despite making so many lattes, I was impressed by the beautiful foam milk they used. The latte art was also stunning, and the drink was delicious and easy to drink. The price was relatively affordable, so waiting in line was worth it!

I stopped by on my way back from sightseeing in Arashiyama. I was looking for a warm drink and waited for about 30 minutes. Inside the shop, there were familiar % mark goods and stylishly displayed coffee beans. I ordered a matcha latte and a cafe latte. Each cup was carefully arted! Lovely! Drinking a warm latte along the cold river in Arashiyama was really delicious! Cozy!

Arabica Kyoto Arashiyama / Arabica coffee is a must-have when visiting Arashiyama. This was the best cafe latte I have ever had.

Located near the Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama. Enjoy a morning coffee before strolling from Arashiyama to Sagano. Take it to go and savor it by the river while admiring the autumn leaves of Arashiyama and the Togetsukyo Bridge. The latte art catches the eye, but the coffee itself is also quite good. The only downside is the long line, but it's understandable why it gets crowded.

There were many tourists and a lot of people lining up. It was a very cold time, so the warm coffee was very comforting. There were views of Togetsukyo Bridge in front of me, and it was very nice to drink while looking at the scenery. There are various food and drink shops on the streets of Arashiyama, so takeout is recommended.

In mid-November at 9am on a weekday, I was the third in line after waiting for 15 minutes☆ There were fewer people lining up in the morning on weekdays. The day before, on Monday evening, there were three times more people in line than in the morning. Those in line in the morning seemed to be mostly from overseas. [What I had] ◯ Cafe Latte/Americano ◎ Baguette Sandwich (prosciutto and camembert cheese) ... Coffee-wise, I think the latte is a must. They mainly use an espresso machine, so there's no drip coffee. When ordering the baguette sandwich, they asked if I wanted it warmed up. Since I was taking it to go, I didn't warm it up, but there was only one toaster (sweat). Many people were waiting for their baguettes to be warmed up, so be prepared to wait. They cut the baguette in half to warm it up, so it's possible to ask for it to be cut. I toasted it at home and it was delicious♪ The prosciutto was rich and plentiful, and the cheese was flavorful☆ If it's not too crowded, having a latte and a baguette is great☆ Everyone was eating and drinking by the river on the opposite side. It's fun to enjoy the view of Arashiyama on a nice day.

I've always wanted to go here. I've been into latte art at home recently, so I ordered a matcha latte and was surprised to see a swan design. It's art. I wish I could do this level of latte art at home. The taste was not too sweet, easy to drink matcha latte, and the location was excellent. I have nothing to complain about. I want to go again. Thank you for the meal.

Located right next to the Togetsukyo Bridge, this popular coffee stand is known for its eye-catching logo "%", which many people love to snap photos of and share on social media. This time, I ordered: ☑︎ Iced Cafe Latte ¥550 ☑︎ Iced Matcha Latte ¥550 The matcha latte was lightly sweetened, which was to my liking. The portion was generous and I left feeling satisfied. ✨☺️

Arabica coffee is really delicious after all. It's a trendy, popular spot near Togetsukyo Bridge, right in front of Muni. There were about 10 people in line, but surprisingly, the turnover was quick and we got our order in about 10 minutes. I tried the Kyoto latte for the first time. It was sweet, had a good aftertaste, and was delicious. Because it's by the river, there were a lot of bugs buzzing around inside the shop, which was a bit concerning. It would be great if they could improve on that, but the taste is top-notch.

The location is perfect with a lovely glass building along the river. There is only one paid booth inside, so you can't eat in, but there are benches outside the shop and a concrete wall along the river where you can sit and enjoy the view. It's a great spot for couples to relax and spend some quality time. Just a 2-minute walk away, you'll find the riverbank near Togetsukyo Bridge where you can sit anywhere you like. If you walk a little further past the shop, you'll reach a dead end with a ryokan, so the road in front has very few cars passing by, making it a peaceful place for a coffee break. I stayed at a ryokan just a few minutes away, so I could easily walk there for a coffee, which was like a dream come true for a coffee lover like me.
