Beard Papa is a reliable choice. It's located right in front of the underground ticket gate at Shinbashi Station and always tempting. Today, I had some time before catching my train and the limited edition melon choux looked too delicious to resist. Besides the melon choux, I also bought the "dinosaur egg choux" with a crunchy texture and the limited edition matcha flavor. Both were made with my favorite cookie choux. It was a little past 5 pm on Friday and there was already a decent line, but it got even longer after I made my purchase.

In front of the JR ticket gate at Shinbashi station, there is a cream puff shop! Whenever I have some time during my transfer, I often buy one to take home ☺︎ This time, they had a new flavor - matcha cream puff, so I decided to try it! Matcha Cookie Choux 280 yen. I love the crunchy cookie choux instead of the usual soft choux pastry. The matcha cream inside is plentiful and delicious (*´ω`*). It's not too sweet and has a strong matcha flavor. I also saw a new item, Taiwan Pineapple Choux, which I would like to try next time. Even though there is usually a line, the staff is quick and you can purchase your cream puff fairly quickly. ☺︎

In April 2023, I tried the limited edition Salted Red Bean Daifuku Choux for 250 yen. It was interesting to see how the texture and saltiness were recreated in a cream puff with red bean paste. The ingredients had a subtle taste, not overly sweet, and had a traditional Japanese finish. The cream was thick and sauce-like, as seen in the cut section (photo). I felt it could have had a bit more red bean flavor to enhance the taste. The dough was chewy yet had a good bite to it. While I understand that Beard Papa's packaging can be time-consuming, I felt that the operation at this particular store was lacking. It may have been just a one-time experience though...!

The old man easily fell for the strategy of "Limited to 5 stores nationwide, Salted Bean Daifuku Choux!" and "Only here in Eastern Japan!" He thought it sparkled brightly. He bought it thinking that his wife and second child would be pleased. There weren't many customers seeking this product at the store, and he was able to buy it easily. The surface had a thin, light choux pastry-like texture, with a mochi-like dough underneath. It also had azuki cream and black beans scattered throughout the dough. When eaten with eyes closed, it tasted like a fake salted daifuku. It was an amusing product. Personally, I prefer the regular cookie choux overwhelmingly. My wife was happy to eat it, but when she heard the price (250 yen per piece), she said, "You can buy 2 delicious salted daifuku in Sugamo for that price." Indeed. It's frustrating, so I'll make the title a hook as well.

It's been a while since I had something so crispy and delicious! The chocolate is also really good! I like to freeze it and eat it crispy. I love the dough so much that I always end up buying it when I pass by the store. It's also a great gift that people really appreciate, so I'm happy.

At the Unknown World TV show, there was a feature on cream puffs and one of the shops introduced was Reminded. I lined up to buy the classic custard cookie cream puff for 210 yen for dessert, but was lured by the limited-time "Luxurious Strawberry 2023" for 250 yen. I decided to get 2 pieces instead of the set (6 pieces) considering my family size, paid with a cashless method, brought them home, and enjoyed them for dessert. It had fresh cream, strawberries, and cookie puffs, making it a delightful treat. Reminded in Shinbashi has now become the shop I've visited the most times ever.

Paris-Brest Luxurious Strawberry Cream ¥270 Slightly crispy and thin choux pastry filled with plenty of strawberry cream. The strawberry cream is incredibly delicious, rich and creamy. Perfect for strawberry lovers! I can't get enough of the rich and luxurious taste! I definitely want to try other flavors next time.

Today, I went to the always crowded Beard Papa in Shinbashi to get some cream puffs to go. It's always busy there, so I wonder if Beard Papa is a popular spot. This time, I was lucky and there was no line, so I finally decided to wait and make a purchase. Normally, I wouldn't wait in line just to buy cream puffs, but this time I did. Since the chocolate ones were sold out, I bought four that looked delicious. It cost almost 1,000 yen for four, a bit pricey! It took over an hour to get back home. Finally, I arrived and tried them. The cream puffs were indeed rich and creamy, just as the name suggests! They are a bit heavy, but manageable if you eat them slowly. The Fondant Chocolat flavor seems to be the highlight this time. It was also very rich and flavorful! It's a shame that it's only available for a limited time. I'll have to wait for the next time it's not too crowded to come back. Enjoyed my meal!

I often see a chain of cream puff shops in the underground of Shinbashi Station, but this was my first time trying it. The menu consists of combinations of pastry and filling, with options like Cookie Choux, Eclair Choux with chocolate on top, Custard, and Premium Rich Cream. I tried all four varieties, and I think I like the Chocolate + Rich Cream one the best. However, it was a bit too sweet haha.

In a building directly connected to Shinbashi Station, there is a Beard Papa's shop that sells cream puffs. I happened to pass by and bought one the other day. As expected, I bought the classic custard cream cookie cream puff. The cream was rich and the pastry was crispy, making it delicious to eat.

Tokyo Shinbashi "Beard Papa: Wing Shinbashi Store". Took a photo of the "150th Railway Opening Anniversary Sign" at platforms 3 and 6 at Shinbashi Station (^^). I felt nostalgic seeing the old signs in front of the electronic bulletin board. Passing by the Beard Papa store at Wing Shinbashi, I noticed a sign for a limited-time offer. I stopped by and purchased the Wing Shinbashi store exclusive and limited-time "Baked Cheese Cake Choux", along with the limited-time "SHIRO" cream puff, "Dinosaur Gari Gari Tamago Choux", "Custard Cookie Choux", and "Custard Pie Choux Cream". The Baked Cheese Cake Choux had a rich cheese flavor and a crispy crust, very delicious. I enjoyed the SHIRO, Dinosaur Egg Choux, Cookie Choux, and Custard Pie Choux as well. This time, it was a journey of cream puffs instead of a journey of balloons (lol).

I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake flavored Langue de Chat. Both the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor and Langue de Chat are limited to April only! The Langue de Chat was tastier than I expected. It should be made a regular item!

Beard Papa in Shinbashi offers a delicious chocolate fondue that is worth waiting in line for. Despite the usual wait, the turnover is quick so it's worth lining up to try it. I would definitely want to come back for more.

Shoe cream specialty chain located in the underground shopping area of Shinbashi Station. Popular spot with several groups lining up around 4pm on weekdays. Recently relocated and reopened on February 18th next door. Bought a "Pie Shoe" for ¥180 as a souvenir. The pastry has a crispy texture and is light and easy to eat. The generous amount of custard, combined with whipped cream, is smooth and creamy. It tasted a bit milky compared to when I tried it before. Affordable and consistently delicious, making it a recommended souvenir option.

In July, they have CC Lemon choux cream. In February, they offer baked chocolate choux cream, baked chocolate strawberry choux cream with crispy and crunchy choux pastry. A new dessert shop next door is opening, and I received a flyer about it.

In October, I was excited to learn that the cream puff was Mont Blanc flavor. I didn't have many days to go to work, so I couldn't make it to Shinbashi for a while. Finally, on a Sunday, I was able to buy it. I chose the nut stick, which is easier to eat than the cream puff. The crispy texture of the pastry and the chestnut cream were amazing! After eating one, I immediately went back and bought more.

I love custard cream in cream puffs, so delicious. I prefer the cream puffs over the pie~ I always buy them when I find them~ Thank you for the delicious meal~ I enjoyed it very much.

Premium Pistachio Choux 350 yen Beard Papa Wing Shimbashi Store Limited Menu As a pistachio lover, I tried the Beard Papa cream puff that was only available at the Shimbashi store. Despite being a bit pricey for its size, I decided to give it a try. I went on a weekday evening and there always seemed to be a few people waiting in line. This time was no exception. The only downside was that there is only one cash register, so if one customer takes a long time, the line doesn't move at all. The Pistachio Choux was delicious and didn't disappoint. The pistachio-flavored cream and the crunchy texture on the outside were both great. However, it's not worth the 350 yen price tag. If it was around 200 yen, I might have considered buying it every week.

This chain store always has a nice smell lingering around, which makes me end up buying something. I tried the cookie choux cream, and despite the strong smell, it wasn't as sweet as I expected. It was delicious without being overly sweet.
