I used to visit Shibuya several times... I had friends there on LINE... But as the time passed and the pandemic hit, I couldn't go back... I landed in Ginza instead (。•̀ᴗ-)✧・I ordered the black sugar tapioca for 650 yen and it was served right away (≧▽≦)... This, this, this, this!!!! Delicious (≧▽≦) The tapioca was just right, not too hard or too soft. I promised myself to stop by whenever I come to Ginza♪ Thank you for the meal!!!

Located on the 2nd basement floor of Tokyu Plaza Ginza, this shop offers Taiwanese-style tapioca milk tea. It seems to have taken over the space previously occupied by a Taiwanese burger shop called Baoger. The shop has a seating area where you can take a break. I visited on a weekday night, so it wasn't crowded, but on weekends it can get full. I tried the Black Sugar Tapioca Milk Tea (650 yen) and QQ Balls (300 yen), which were discounted to 800 yen when ordered as a set for dine-in. The milk tea can be customized with tapioca, ice level, and sweetness level for free. I personally enjoyed the sophisticated taste of the black sugar milk tea here, which was not overly sweet. The milk was rich, the tea flavor was balanced, and it was very easy to drink. The QQ Balls, a popular Taiwanese sweet made of fried sweet potato balls, were also delicious. I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients used here and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Ginza Tokyu Plaza basement. A Taiwanese bubble tea shop opened after the Taiwanese burger shop. The space is the same as before!! I stopped by for a break. I mentioned that I don't like sweet drinks, and the staff recommended the "Brown Sugar Coffee Milk" with a light sweetness. They made it right there, so I sat down and waited. It was perfect for my mood that day, not too sweet and incredibly delicious. You can apparently add tapioca as a topping, but I didn't. Seriously, this hidden gem... On a Saturday in Ginza, it was empty. Remember this place when you want to have tea!

I entered the store with the intention of getting Oolong milk tea. Since it was dinner time, I also ordered Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice). The table seats were crowded, so I sat at the counter in the back. The air conditioning wasn't working well, so it was hot. The Lu Rou Fan had a small amount of meat and was not very satisfying. The set soup with bean sprouts and soft-boiled egg was a bit salty but tasty. The Oolong milk tea had a mild sweetness, and I added grass jelly as a topping. I was happy to see grass jelly, which had disappeared from the menus of famous chain stores. The tea had a strong Oolong flavor and was delicious. The food was not filling, but the drinks were good. If you go here, it's safer to just have tea. It's nice to have a place with seating where you can enjoy a good drink, especially with the decrease in tapioca shops.

I visited a tapioca drink shop that opened in the basement of Tokyu Plaza, so I went to check it out. The layout of the shop was similar to the previous one, with table seating in the front and counter seating in the back. You have to order first and then pay at the counter. Since the table seating was occupied by foreigners, I decided to sit at the counter in the back. I'm not a big fan of tapioca, so I ordered a medium-sized Oolong milk tea without tapioca. The staff asked if I wanted it as a topping, but I declined. I also ordered something called QQ balls, which are like Taiwanese sweet potato donuts. They come in three small round pieces on a skewer. They were easy to eat but didn't leave a strong impression on me in terms of taste.
