I have been here for dinner several times, but this was my first time having lunch. I ordered the authentic pho and fresh spring rolls made by a Vietnamese chef. The pho was light yet flavorful, and the spring rolls were filled with plenty of ingredients!! I enjoyed it very much. (^_^)v

Shinbashi was known as the holy land of potato salad, but now most of the options are convenient potato salad. As for this kushikatsu, it's prepared so well that you might have to double-check the price. The Vietnamese dishes made by Vietnamese staff are quite authentic. If you like cilantro, be sure to try it.

It's past 4 pm on Saturday, and I came to Shinbashi after a long time. It's still a holy place for drinking establishments. Even at this time, people are actively drinking here and there. I chose this place. Although deep-fried skewers seem like they might be filling, I was drawn in by the cheap prices on the sign outside and decided to enter. About 60% of the seats were already taken. I ordered the 500 yen set, which includes a drink and a selection of 3 skewers. The skewers included quail, green onion, and wiener, all of which I like, but there was no meat. I also ordered additional skewers: 2 pickled ginger, 2 tulip bulbs, and kiss fish, lotus root. The batter was light, not greasy, and very easy to eat. I wanted to order more, but I have plans for the next place, so I finished here. Thank you for the meal.

Sometimes when I feel like drinking, I resist the urge and don't drink. It's not that I can't drink, but I choose not to. However, when I'm faced with nothing but frustrating situations, I end up reaching my limit and give in to drinking. I head from Shinbashi towards Toranomon, closer to Shinbashi station, a bit of a distance away. I secure a seat outside under the awning, and nibble on eggplant, pork, ham cutlet, and lotus root. The sauce is the pour-over type, so you can pour as much as you want. I also eat a stew with plenty of konjac, which tastes decent but I wonder about the value for money. The skewers are cheap, but there is a cover charge.

I went to the second bar in Shinbashi and tried the popular kushiage restaurant Ichiro after a long time. They had a special set where you could get 3 kushiage skewers and a highball, shochu highball, or draft beer for just one coin. The set included eggplant, green pepper, and quail skewers, and they were all delicious with a light and crispy batter. I couldn't stop eating once I started! We ended up ordering various other kushiage skewers as well. The tulip beer was also very tasty!

It's great that they stay open late. Sometimes after drinking, you crave something oily, right? Eating freshly fried skewers is so satisfying. And having pickled ginger is nice too. The tomato highball is deliciously strong. It was pouring rain when I left the restaurant, but they kindly lent me an umbrella. Smoking is also allowed, which is appreciated.

Located on the left side of Uomori Street heading towards Hibiya Street from Shinbashi Station, is a kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) restaurant. They offer takeout and you can also enjoy day drinking, but as there were no other customers at 12:06, I decided to have lunch there. I sat at the end of the counter seat where the air conditioning was working well, and ordered the chef's choice set for 700 yen. The prices for individual kushikatsu range from 100 yen to 250 yen. Since the set comes with 5 pieces, I thought of ordering chorizo (180 yen), cartilage (250 yen), shrimp (250 yen), asparagus (200 yen), and chicken thigh (250 yen) for the chef's choice. The sound of frying in oil echoed in the restaurant, and my order arrived in just 10 minutes. The tray came with 5 pieces of kushikatsu (I vaguely remember being told they were kiss fish, pork belly, Vienna sausage, shiitake mushroom, and quail egg). I dipped them in the sauce on the table, along with cabbage, pickles, rice, and miso soup, and left feeling satisfied.

I came to Shinbashi after a long time and decided to visit the second branch of the popular kushikatsu restaurant I used to go to, Ichiro. It turns out the owner was at the second branch, so we went there instead. I hadn't been to the second branch since it opened. It's located on the 1st floor of Hotel Unizo, making it easy to find. There are table seats in the front and a deep counter seat area in the back. We chose the counter seats. About half of the customers were foreigners, seeming more like tourists than business people. Since it was our second stop, we didn't order much food. Here's what we tried: - Yam Potato Fries: Less guilty than regular potato fries, the crispy texture of the yam was great, and the black pepper seasoning was just right. - Kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers): We ordered red Vienna sausages and two pieces of beef thigh, and they were delicious as expected. - Deep-fried garlic: It was crispy and delicious, especially when eaten with miso. - Kansai-style ramen "I Like You": A friend from Osaka wanted to try it, and it turned out to be a local instant noodle dish with kimchi, seaweed, green onions, and egg. It had a light soy sauce flavor, which was surprisingly tasty. After enjoying our meal and drinks, we paid the bill and left. The second branch is a nice place to visit, even with a large group.

Good evening. I'm Kozue, a beauty acupuncture therapist. The other day, a friend took me to Ichiro 2, a recommended kushikatsu restaurant in Shinbashi. The restaurant has a counter and table seating, and it was packed with customers on a Friday night. We went there around 10 pm after drinking at another place, and the atmosphere was lively. We ordered the recommended kushikatsu, potato salad, and simmered beef tendon. The kushikatsu was a bit pricey, starting at 120 yen each, but they were all delicious and freshly fried. The dipping sauce had a slightly spicy flavor. The potato salad and beef tendon were also tasty. With a few drinks, the total cost was around 3000 yen per person, which I think is quite reasonable. My friend ordered a Tamago Kake Gohan (TKG) as a closer, which includes egg, green onion, bonito flakes, and seaweed. It's not very filling, so it's a good option for a light meal after drinking. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place for the first time after midnight to have a drink before heading home. I ordered dote-yaki, potato salad, and assorted deep-fried skewers. When I tried the deep-fried skewers, I noticed that the skin was included and it didn't have much flavor. It turns out you're supposed to dip it in the sauce, but it would have been nice to have that explained, as some people might not realize. The prices were reasonable, so I was tempted to get more of the deep-fried lotus root and cheese skewers. This place might be good for stopping by when you want a drink and feel like you haven't had enough.

Next to Sakuradai Park, there is a main store where I often visited because I love their tempura skewers. What I like about it is that the tempura pieces are big and well-prepared. I think I have mentioned this before at another restaurant, but the difference in tempura restaurants often lies in the "kiss" fish. At some places, you might get a kiss fish the size of a thumb, but here, the kiss fish is substantial and really satisfying. Additionally, they have my favorite deep-fried cartilage skewers, which you rarely find elsewhere. To start, I ordered a white hoppy set for 390 yen and a highball for 430 yen. For dishes, I had the kiss for 180 yen and the cartilage for 250 yen. Compared to the smaller kiss fish for 100 or 120 yen at other places, the 180 yen kiss here feels really cheap and you get at least three times the amount. The energetic owner and staff create a lively atmosphere in the restaurant, making you feel energized just by being there. They have both counter and table seating, making it convenient for solo diners or large groups. I also appreciate that they are open until morning, just like the main store.
