This is my first time at Gong Cha. I didn't realize you could choose the sweetness level...since it's my first time, I'll just go with the regular sweetness. I got the Mango Alishan Tea Aid with normal sweetness and added toppings of nata de coco. It's a combination of oolong tea and mango flavor. It's delicious...but incredibly sweet, I couldn't help but laugh! This is normal sweetness? I'm glad I didn't add extra sweetness...the nata de coco topping is also very sweet when you chew on it, like it's soaked in syrup. This place might be recommended for those with a sweet tooth. However, you can also reduce the sweetness level, so I'm eager to try it with less sweetness next time.

After eating tsukemen in Shinjuku, we went for dessert. Dessert is a must after a meal. Starbucks inside Mylord was full, so we went to Gong Cha in the same building. It was crowded with young women. It's a space that might be hard for a lone man to enter, haha. They have a variety of seasonal drinks, but I ended up ordering the classic Brown Sugar Tapioca Milk Tea. It's great that you can customize the sweetness and ice level to your liking! It's still as delicious as ever. I just love tapioca.

Located inside Lumine Est directly connected to Shinjuku Station, this place has a spacious eat-in area which is great for hanging out with friends. I recommend trying their matcha milk tea! The combination of milk foam and tapioca is perfect. If you prefer it less sweet, it brings out the matcha flavor nicely.

I went to the newly opened Goncha at Milord to pass the time. It was a weekday morning, so there was only one other customer inside. As I entered, I felt a sense of déjà vu... This place used to be a Starbucks that I frequented! The layout was similar to when it was a Starbucks, with the sunny counter seats overlooking Koshu Kaido remaining the same. When I went to order, I was surprised to see a wide variety of menu options. It was a bit overwhelming. I ended up choosing the Ali Shan Milk Tea after asking the staff for recommendations. You can even choose the sweetness level. I also decided to order an Egg Tart. - Ali Shan Milk Tea (S) 460 yen - Egg Tart 250 yen The Ali Shan Milk Tea had a nice aroma and was quite enjoyable. Even though I chose a less sweet option, it was surprisingly sweet. The Egg Tart was soft, not quite what I expected, which was a bit disappointing.

I enjoyed the Peach Milk Tea very much! It was delicious!
