The regular potato costs 590 yen. If you lose in rock-paper-scissors, you get edamame, if it's a tie you get the regular potato, and if you win you get the mega potato. The manager's response was excellent. Even though I lost in rock-paper-scissors, they let me try again. It seemed like the manager was mostly working alone. There were 4 or 5 staff members, but it seemed like their job was to attract customers, and whenever I tried to order, the manager would always come to take my order. The yakitori is said to be sold at cost, but other than the 3 types offered, it's not cheap. The meat that came out was surprisingly small. The bill came out to 4000 yen per person for all-you-can-drink (with 2 items other than yakitori) and 10 cheap yakitori skewers. It didn't feel incredibly cheap. In terms of cost performance, it might be better to go to another place where you can get 2 skewers for 350 yen.

Everywhere was fully booked, but we managed to secure a reservation at this restaurant in Tokyo Shinbashi, chosen by my friend for its Shinbashi-like atmosphere. The small tables and cozy chairs were tightly packed inside, creating a sense of intimacy. Looking at the menu, I was surprised by how affordable it was. The negima and sunagimo yakitori were delicious, and the tsukune was only 50 or 60 yen each. While the quality was not top-notch, the skewers were still satisfying. The chicken nanban was generously topped with tartar sauce, offering a substantial portion that even women would enjoy. We ended with the smoked cheese wrapped in bacon, using cheese scissors to cut it. With the help of the young and handsome staff, we enjoyed multiple rounds of highball drinks and had a great time.

I visited after a concert. The food was not exceptional, but the prices were reasonable, which was nice. Ordering online was a bit of a hassle at first, but I got used to it. I would like to stop by again when I'm in Shinbashi.

I stopped by a yakitori restaurant as the second bar to encourage my junior colleague in Shinbashi. The yakitori cost around 50 yen per skewer. The taste was decent, but for a second bar, it was excellent. This place is probably competing based on turnover rate. It's a great spot for those who want to drink until the last train, as it's just a 2-minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station.

I've already had quite a bit to drink, but there was someone insisting we should have a little more, so I suggested we go to this place I know that stays open late. The door is covered with a plastic curtain, so every time it opens or closes, a chill runs through the place, creating a somewhat tense atmosphere. Since we've already eaten a lot, we decided to order one dish each, with the main dish being pork kimchi.

I came back late from Osaka and met a friend in Shinbashi around 10:30 PM. We were initially hesitant to enter this restaurant because the staff called out to us saying, "You can smoke here!" However, all the other places in Shinbashi seemed to close early, so we ended up choosing this place with a terrace. We had highballs, chorogi salad, chopped cabbage, tsukune, negima, sunagimo, and pork kimchi. It was a quick meal and we were done in about an hour! 😄

I and my friend walked from Higashi Ginza to Shimbashi station because we wanted to go back from there. We were drawn back into this drinking district that we had just visited, and we went straight to the first restaurant near the station. The signboard here said "Yakitori at cost price izakaya," which caught my attention. I wondered how cheap it would be, but it turned out that they just had a few items at a low price. However, it was amazing! Negima (green onion and chicken skewer) for 51 yen each, Sunagimo (gizzard) for 61 yen each, and Tsukune (chicken meatball) for 48 yen each. I asked the staff if there are people who only order the cheap items, and they said that some people indeed order plenty of those and drink before going home. Since I wasn't very hungry, I decided to just order the cheap items: 4 Negima, 4 Sunagimo, and 2 Tsukune. And of course, I had to order Ume Suisho (plum liqueur) for 498 yen. The yakitori was so cheap that the Ume Suisho felt expensive! I ordered a Umeboshi Sour, which came in a unique container, typical of a specialty izakaya. The appetizer was cabbage, which was a nice touch for a yakitori place. I don't remember how many drinks I had, but I remember talking emotionally and crying to my best friend that night. I almost missed the last train, and the through trains had ended, so I was about to go in the wrong direction, but luckily I asked the station staff before the doors closed, and they told me the right way. I made it home safely! If the last train had passed, I would have had to stay somewhere overnight. I think this restaurant is perfect for casually eating and drinking with their affordable signature items. It's strange that this place wasn't listed on Tabelog (a restaurant review website) yet. Maybe it's still a new restaurant? I added it to the website. Shimbashi turned out to be a place where you easily get drunk!

The skewers were 49 yen each, which was cheap for a reason, haha. But adding all-you-can-drink made it 5000 yen per person. It was expensive even though we didn't eat that much.

It seems like there are 2 to 3 items on the menu at cost price.

There are no photos, but the taste of the yakitori was so-so. The restaurant was small and the stairs were steep... It's near Shinbashi Station, so I guess it can't be helped. It was interesting to roll the dice to determine the size of the drink.
