At Shinbashi Izumi, I enjoyed oden in a private room on the second floor. The daikon, chikuwa, fried small potatoes, silk tofu, sea urchin, sardines, and shallots were all delicious. It's a bit pricey but worth it. They have a good selection of sake, with each glass costing over a thousand yen. They really know their sake here at Shinbashi Izumi.

We went to this place for our second round of drinks with friends. The first floor has only a counter, but the second floor has tatami seating where 4-5 people can sit comfortably. Since it was our second stop, we didn't order much food, just some highballs and a platter of oden. The flavors were rich and gentle, and everything was delicious.

I apologize for the messy photos. Let's start with the yuba appetizer. We ordered the sashimi platter for two. We also ordered red wiener, chikuwa tempura, daikon radish in oden, thick fried tofu, and grilled shiitake mushrooms. The sashimi platter had a variety of fish and plenty of condiments to choose from. We were recommended to try tartar sauce with bonito, which was a surprising but enjoyable combination. The red wiener and chikuwa tempura always seem to be irresistible. The oden was flavorful and satisfying. Lastly, we tried the grilled shiitake mushrooms, which were delicious with a concentrated flavor in the stems. I would love to visit this place again. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant around 17:30 for the first time. It seemed difficult to get in without a reservation, but I managed to get a table. I started with a draft beer and ordered some oden, which seemed like it would be served quickly. I chose daikon radish, thick fried tofu, and egg for the oden. It was delicious with Kansai-style broth. The daikon radish had grated yam on top and the texture was just right. The corn tempura brought out the sweetness of the corn very well. As for drinks, I went with Japanese sake, starting with a refreshing Sawaya Matsumoto. It paired perfectly with the sashimi platter. The fatty tuna was incredibly delicious. The cured mackerel had a nice firmness to it. The flounder was also excellent. The food was luxurious and delicious, and the drinks kept flowing. Next, I tried Tohoku Izumi sake with grilled eel skewers. They were outstanding. Although a bit pricey at 650 yen per skewer, they were made with domestic eel and the seasoning and grilling were superb. The eel itself was delicious. I also tried Kokken, Daisen, Hakkaisan, and Suigei sake, and ordered some pickles. I had a very reasonably priced and delicious meal with great drinks. This is a restaurant I would definitely visit again.

My elementary school friend from out of town was looking for a place to have dinner during her birthday week. Due to the extension of the state of emergency during the rainy season, there were few open restaurants, and even fewer that served alcohol. I complained that alcohol wasn't that bad and that drinking in the park or on the streets was more of a problem. After walking around, we finally found this place and entered. We quietly enjoyed our drinks and food, ordering dishes like sashimi, oden, and other small plates. While we were on our way home, my daughter messaged me, so in the end, the three of us drank and laughed together. The atmosphere was elegant, but the oden was a bit spicy. I think it's good for drinkers, but not so good for the body. I asked the owner, and she said they have a main branch in Azabu-Juban, where they run a sushi restaurant.

It suddenly got chilly, signaling the start of oden season. Oden with grated yam, daikon, egg, fish cakes, and konjac simmered in a gentle broth is delicious. The sake pairs well with other dishes, creating a cozy and enjoyable dining experience at a Japanese restaurant in Shinbashi. The reservation was made for a small party, and a private room on the third floor was secured. We settled for two four-person tables on the second floor due to budget constraints. We started with a toast with draft beer for 600 yen each, followed by an assorted oden plate for 680 yen. The daikon soaked in the flavorful broth with grated yam was a highlight. We then switched to sweet potato shochu and Goto Nada on the rocks, ordering scallop tempura, shallots, and fried ginkgo nuts. We also tried a pickled vegetable assortment for 480 yen, which included unusual items like cherries and pickled radish. The meal was enjoyed with a focus on drinks, and the bill came out to around 5,000 yen per person. This restaurant is great for leisurely enjoying oden and Japanese dishes with sake.

This is an oden restaurant in Shinbashi. Aside from oden, they also have other delicious dishes. The first floor has a counter with regular customers, while the second floor has tatami mats for groups. It was not crowded, and the timing of the dishes being served was leisurely.

Due to the disappointing experience at the first yakitori restaurant, I decided to seek revenge and stumbled upon this place. <Appetizer> Namako vinegar - Gets you excited!! 〇 Daikon - The daikon soaked in flavor and the tororo kombu go well together! 〇 Fried mochi - The fried mochi, oden broth, and grated daikon are a perfect trio! 〇 Cotton tofu - It pairs well with the broth and is delicious! 〇 Chicken meatballs - ?? 〇 Takoyaki - ?? <Overall impression> Although there were some oden items that I couldn't quite understand, each dish was carefully crafted with the owner's dedication shining through. A place that truly makes you want to come back.

Shinbashi is a city with a plethora of dining options, where new restaurants come and go so quickly that it's hard to keep up with the latest food scene. Despite this, I stumbled upon a new restaurant recently and was drawn in by its quaint and intriguing aroma. On July 23, 2019, at 8:20 pm, a party of three visited the small establishment. The restaurant, though small, had three floors, and we were seated on the second floor tatami room, which comfortably accommodated our group. The "Chikuzenni" (appetizer) revealed the high quality of Japanese cuisine with its delicious broth. We wanted more. The "Shiokara" (480 yen) was exactly what it was - salty and flavorful. The "Oden Tamago Potato Salad" (600 yen) was a simple yet delicious dish, with a boiled egg on top of the potato salad. The "Sashimi Assortment" (880 yen per person) included fresh and tasty new saury, medium fatty tuna, scallop, flounder, and scallop - a variety that we appreciated. The fatty saury and medium fatty tuna were particularly delightful. The "Pickled Vegetables Assortment" (480 yen) unexpectedly turned out to be incredibly delicious, especially the long red turnip pickles that left us wanting more. The "Oden Assortment" (large, 1200 yen) not only had great presentation but also excellent taste, with the thick fried tofu being a standout for me. Overall, it was a great find! Perfect for a small group looking for a relaxed dining experience. I look forward to trying more dishes next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I was recommended a stylish and nice restaurant serving Kyushu ingredients like Bungo horse mackerel and sesame mackerel for sashimi, paired with a delicious kelp shochu as a drink. The third-floor private room provided a relaxing and spacious atmosphere for our group. We enjoyed dishes like fruit tomatoes, young corn with skin, a sashimi platter, and eel tempura, all of which were fresh and flavorful. The jasmine highball and kelp shochu were perfect drinks to complement the meal. After a satisfying meal, we decided to head to a karaoke bar for our second round of fun. #LovelyJapaneseRestaurant

I went bar hopping in Shinbashi during this year's Golden Week! I stumbled upon "Shinbashi Izumi", which seemed to have opened relatively recently as there wasn't much information online. The two-story interior had a counter on the first floor and tatami seating on the second floor. I liked the casual atmosphere of sitting at the counter. The menu had a variety of sashimi and snacks that go well with drinks, as well as oden. We started with a toast with sake. The appetizer was yuba. The first oden we ordered was daikon with plenty of grated kelp on top, flavorful and delicious. We also tried other oden items like konjac, thick fried tofu, and ganko, which were all favorites. The unique oden here was potato, with a consomme flavor and a hint of pepper. It was delicious! The tofu with plenty of garnishes was refreshing. The clams had a firm and elastic texture with a flavorful broth. Lastly, we had potato gratin, creamy with lots of white sauce and chunks of potato inside. It was a perfect finish after enjoying the light oden. We were already on our third stop that day, so we had a quick drink with the oden, but I would love to come back next time and take it easy from the first stop. Thank you for the meal!

I discovered a new restaurant in a familiar drinking district and decided to try it out. The area is known for its cool and edgy vibe, but the clean and modern interior of this new place made me feel a bit nervous. The first floor had a main counter area but also had table seating, which is where we were seated. There was also a second floor with traditional tatami seating. I started with a Jasmine Highball, which I believe was priced at under 500 yen. We were served yuba sashimi as a complimentary appetizer, which my friend loved as they are a big fan of yuba. For food, we ordered scallop sashimi for 880 yen, man'yoji chili peppers for 400 yen, and oden with thick fried tofu. The sashimi was served with some bonus turban shell, which was incredibly fresh and delicious with a nice chewy texture. While enjoying the sashimi and highball, we had to leave early due to some unexpected errands. The elegant dishes at reasonable prices made me think it would be a great place to invite someone for a meal.

The restaurant is small but delicious. It seems that there are also guest rooms on the second and third floors.

I had delicious sashimi, of course it was fresh. I really liked the oden here. The broth was delicately seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The flavor was subtle. The egg and thick fried tofu were perfect, I think. I want to take more time to enjoy it next time. Thank you for the meal.
