In this unfamiliar situation, where was I? What did I order? As I was pondering, the staff recommended a spicy beef soup flavor. I chose the mildly spicy option. The soup had a unique addictive flavor, and the noodles had a strong presence. There were chunks of tender, flavorful beef simmered in the soup. The restaurant seemed to be popular among young people, and I was one of the few older customers there. Lately, Ueno has been seeing more Chinese-style restaurants opening up. I look forward to exploring more new places next time.

The soft round noodles, fluffy white fish, tangy pickled vegetables, bean sprouts, green onions, cilantro, bok choy, and wood ear mushrooms can be confirmed in the dish. The soup has a gentle sourness and is not spicy. I added vinegar and chili oil for extra flavor later on. It's a hearty dish. I couldn't add any extra toppings because my stomach was full. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the noodles. I'm sorry. You might be able to find a similar dish at a food stall in Ameyoko, but it's too hot today. The restaurant has good air conditioning and a clean atmosphere, so I chose to eat here.

I visited the restaurant for a slightly late dinner. You order from the menu using a QR code. There are so many menu options, it's overwhelming. I decided to choose something from the spicy section. I can't remember the exact name, but it was a spicy dish with pork offal. It was my first time trying it, so I chose the least spicy option, which was still quite spicy. It was ready in about 10 minutes. Just looking at it, I knew it was going to be spicy. I took a sip of the soup. It was delicious, but very spicy. The dish had plenty of offal. It also had Chinese cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, thin tofu, enoki mushrooms, coriander, and noodles. It was piping hot and spicy, so it took me a while to eat. The soup was spicy, but also had a lot of umami flavor. I couldn't help but drink it. Be careful when eating because it has a lot of Sichuan peppercorns, black pepper, and chili peppers. Even the least spicy option was quite hot, so be cautious when ordering. It was delicious. For me, the least spicy option was already very spicy. I would definitely come back when I crave something super spicy.

At Tenfu Li Rice Noodles in Ueno, I tried the extremely spicy white fish and green Sichuan pepper mala soup rice noodles that always have a long line. This was my second visit to this authentic Chinese spot in Ueno Hirokoji. The green soup with abundant Sichuan pepper oil was so spicy that it was the spiciest thing I've had recently.

Around 1 pm on a holiday. Inside the restaurant, there were solo diners, friends, couples, and people taking a break from work. It's a welcoming place to enter. The interior is clean and gives a sense of security. The restroom was a bit messy, but it was not a big issue. It was my first time trying authentic Chinese food! I was nervous as I looked at the menu, which had a wide variety of options. I decided on a dish with tomatoes and thinly sliced beef that didn't seem too spicy. It wasn't spicy, but it was very hot. The dish had tomatoes, beef, tofu-like ingredients, enoki mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, bok choy, and rice noodles. It came in a big pot-like container, which made me wonder if I could finish it all, but I devoured it. The noodles were white and had a chewy texture. They were very delicious. The pickles were self-service, but I didn't eat them because the dishes looked dirty. Next time, I want to try something spicy.

The noodles are round and thin, about 1 millimeter in diameter. Even without ordering toppings, there were some bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms, and fish paste sheets in the dish. The Sichuan-style broth was "medium" spicy and even spicier than Mongolian ramen... it was so spicy that I couldn't slurp the noodles. I tried to slurp with a spoon, but still choked. It was tough. Maybe it was because there was a layer of fat on the surface that made it hard to cool down. When I tried the soup after it cooled down, it wasn't as spicy and had a good flavor. It was impossible to enjoy it while it was still hot. The beef was tender and delicious. I recommend others to try it when it's not too hot to fully appreciate the flavors.

I was intrigued by the fish fillet on the menu, so I decided to try the recommended dish, Sour Fish Fillet Rice Noodles. It arrived in a large pot-like container. The soup was a slightly sour and spicy chicken broth with pickled vegetables. The fish was soft and fluffy, maybe a type of freshwater fish that I'm not familiar with. At first, the smell was strong, but as I ate, the spiciness and numbness made me gradually get used to it, and the smell didn't bother me anymore. I was worried about finishing it all, but I easily ate everything, even drank half of the soup. It's perfect for the upcoming season.

The food itself was delicious. It's authentic Sichuan cuisine, so be careful if you're not a fan of spicy food as it can make your tongue numb. However, there were many other points that caught my attention aside from the food. I think some of the issues may be due to the fact that the restaurant is newly opened. I wish the menu had proper Japanese translations and explanations.

At 11:47 am, my colleague and I entered the restaurant, with no other customers present at the time, but 12 customers arrived after us. It seems like all the other customers were of Asian descent. The menu had a lot of options, making it difficult to decide what to order. I quickly made my choice, but my colleague took almost 10 minutes to decide. You can also order using your smartphone. The food was served quickly, arriving within about 3 minutes of ordering. The soup was a bright red color and bubbling hot. It contained beef, tomato, bok choy, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, a cotton-like tofu, enoki mushrooms, and scallions. The soup looked spicy, but the flavor was actually quite mild due to the tomatoes. The soup was incredibly delicious, with a flavor that I really enjoyed. The rice noodles were white and had a chewy texture, but I would have preferred them to be a bit firmer. The beef was tender and moist, with a generous amount in the soup. I realized that I had requested cilantro, but it was not included in the dish. By the time I finished eating, I was sweating from the spiciness of the soup. There are many different options, so you won't get tired of eating there. The chicken broth has a lot of flavor and you can also get your collagen intake. That's why I visited the rice noodle specialty shop Tenfu Li Rice Noodles in Ueno Okachimachi. Rice noodles are a type of noodles made from rice, a specialty of Yunnan Province in China. The shop opened on February 27, 2023. When it comes to ordering, you can choose from several types of spicy soups, such as spicy Sichuan, sour and spicy, or intensely spicy. The staff mentioned that the extremely spicy ones are quite intense, so be careful! I ordered the Sichuan-style lamb spare rib rice noodles! You can also choose from a wide variety of toppings, almost all the ingredients used in the regular menu can be selected as toppings. I added scallops to my lamb spare rib rice noodles, and the portion was quite generous with plenty of vegetables and spare ribs, providing a satisfying meal. The spiciness was just right, but if you like it even spicier, you can adjust it. The rice noodles are quite soft and smooth, similar to somen noodles, but they blend well with the soup.
