9th floor of Ueno Marui. During cherry blossom season and lunchtime, every restaurant has a line of people waiting outside. I waited for about 40 minutes after checking in. There are around 100 seats, mainly spacious table seats. The lunch menu is the main offering. If you wish, you can also order a la carte. The Mix Lunch for ¥3900 (includes dessert and drink) includes red meat loin, kalbi, shrimp, kimchi, salad, rice, and soup. The meat is coated in a flavorful sauce before being served. It is quickly seared to add color. There are three types of sauces. Additionally, a la carte options include Upper Kalbi for ¥3600, Upper Negi Tan Shioyaki, and Komutan Soup for ¥1700. The kalbi has beautiful marbling. The Tan Shio is not as thick as the Upper Kalbi, but still has a good thickness. It is served with leeks. It melts in your mouth. The dessert after the meal is almond tofu. It's a bit small, but it's part of the set. The staff were all polite, but it would be better if there was a waiting list at the entrance. Despite it being past 2 pm on a regular day, there was a 30-minute wait for lunch. However, the service was excellent! They changed the grill net frequently, which was great. The meat, especially the kalbi, was delicious! The additional meat (cut-offs) was also tasty! I will definitely revisit this place!

However, the special Negi-sirloin thinly sliced salt-grilled dish was very delicious. They taught me how to eat it, and it paired perfectly with draft beer and the Jyuban'ya salad.

In late June, I went to Yakiniku restaurant Jyujyu-en with my business associates for lunch. It had been a while since I last visited, maybe about 2 years. We all ordered the mixed lunch set (3900 yen), which included lean beef, kalbi, grilled shrimp, salad, namul (seasoned vegetables), rice, soup, dessert, and a drink. One person couldn't eat shrimp, so the staff kindly switched it to pork belly for them. With four people at a four-person table, the amount of food didn't fit, so an extra table was brought out. We started with the salad, which was delicious. I even buy their dressing to use at home. The meat in the lunch set was not uniform in shape but still tasty. It's best to enjoy the meat as is without adding extra sauce, as it brings out the flavor. Overall, it was a great deal for a delicious yakiniku lunch. We had a wonderful meal.

The access from the station is convenient, the staff are polite and friendly, there are relaxing semi-private rooms, and you can also use the accumulated Epos card points which is convenient. Moreover, the weekday lunch is available until 4 pm, so you can enjoy the high-quality meat at Jumboen even for a late lunch at a reasonable price. Plus, it's not crowded after 2:30 pm, so you can relax. Personally, I prefer ordering individual meat dishes for lunch rather than the set menu as I find the quality of the meat better. At this branch, you can enjoy premium beef tongue for 700 yen per plate and marbled beef cutlets for 800 yen per plate during lunchtime. You can also order from the regular menu a la carte during lunch. I particularly love the beef brisket soup from the a la carte menu. I have also used Jumboen for dinner, but I think the lunch menu offers great value for money as you can enjoy high-quality meat at a reasonable price. The Jumboen salad, which is my favorite, can be enjoyed at a great price of 550 yen during lunch. I know times are tough due to the pandemic, but I hope they continue to do well. I am silently cheering for them.

I finished my business in Okachimachi and decided to extend my trip to Ueno for lunch. I ordered the same mixed lunch as last time, along with half-cut beef tongue with salt sauce and a glass of red wine. Overall, I was satisfied with the service, atmosphere, and experience, but I noticed that the quality of the meat varies depending on the day.

I used the national travel support program and stayed in Ueno for 2 nights, so I got a ¥6000 coupon! However, it was hectic and I couldn't find many places that accept paper coupons (using an app is too much trouble). I had to use it up in a few hours, so I went to the closest place here in Ueno! I used to go to Jojoen a lot before, it reminds me of the old days. The former company president also liked it. It's expensive but has a normal image. It's my first time here! Jojoen alone for the first time, no one else was there. I couldn't eat alone, so I ordered the Tan Shio three-point set for ¥5500. It was soft and tasted good, but it's too expensive for just 6 pieces for ¥5500. Everyone in Ueno seems to be rich. It was good when grilled with leeks in between! I also had a drink and left quickly before anyone else. But thinking rationally... I should have just bought a grilled meat bento, now I slightly regret it. I prefer the nearby Uguisudani Joen for grilled meat.

I wanted to eat delicious yakiniku, so I visited Jojoen. I ordered the Mix Lunch with half-tongue and salt sauce, and a glass of red wine. The quality of the meat varied, sometimes very delicious and other times just okay, but overall I enjoyed it, including the additional order. The half-tongue with salt sauce was very reasonably priced at 700 yen including tax. The staff who guided us, served us, and handled the payment were all very polite and pleasant. Even though we visited during a slightly off-peak time, we had a leisurely and elegant dining experience. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the lemon sauce, as the lemon flavor was a bit strong. I would like to visit again soon for some delicious yakiniku.

I especially loved the Seryna salad where each leaf is coated with dressing, and the exquisite selection of three dishes. I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied! I have also used Seryna for dinner, but I think the lunch is really worth it because you can enjoy great quality meat at a reasonable price, especially with cutlets and other options. In this store, you can enjoy high-quality short rib salt for 700 yen per plate, and well-marbled wagyu cutlets for 800 yen per plate (you can choose between sauce or salt seasoning). I haven't tried their lunch on weekends or holidays, so I'm not sure if they offer the same prices and items on those days. I've been there for dinner as well, and the meat quality is almost the same as in the evening, so the lunch deal is really worth it. They also offer a lunch salad for 550 yen, which is great for salad lovers. Of course, they have lunch set menus with rice, kimchi, and soup as well. In the past, when I was extremely busy with work, I would treat myself to solo yakiniku here and it always helped me relax. I know times are tough due to the pandemic, but I hope they continue to do well. I'm cheering for them from the sidelines.

The lunch set with a great deal includes delicious meat in a private room with a view of Ueno Station to Ueno Park. The meat may not be perfectly shaped, but it tastes delicious. The salad and namul that come with it are also satisfying. I thought about getting more meat if I needed, but it was already enough.

Yakiniku x Ueno Marui x Luxury = Ideal for couples When it comes to yakiniku in Ueno, I tend to think of it as more of a casual izakaya experience. However, when it comes to yakiniku at Marui in Ueno, especially at Jojoen, it takes on a different image. The view is great, the place is clean, the service is reliable, and the staff's movements are natural. For Ueno, it's surprisingly elegant. The service lunch is a great deal. It includes the usual kimchi, namul, salad, and high-quality meat, making it a light lunch option. It's perfect for couples visiting Ueno for shopping, having a quick lunch at Marui Jojoen, and then moving on. The restaurant is considerate of minimizing any lingering smells, so the evidence of having had yakiniku is minimal. It doesn't feel like you've just had yakiniku, but rather that you've enjoyed a bit of meat for lunch. This is how I like to use Marui Jojoen - for a casual and minimalistic dining experience.

I really like the Ueno Marui branch of Jojoen and often visit it. Especially when I want to eat yakiniku alone, there are several seats with partitions that make it feel like a semi-private room, so I can enjoy yakiniku alone without worrying about others around me. The staff are all very kind and friendly. Plus, even though it's located inside Marui, they stay open quite late, making it easy for me to stop by for a solo yakiniku meal after work when I need a pick-me-up. Especially during my single days, I used to come here for solo yakiniku quite often. (Note: Last order used to be at 10:30 pm, but now it seems they close at 10 pm). Also, Jojoen serves lunch until 4 pm, so even at a later time, I can enjoy a great value lunch set. (Apologies if the timing has changed) Jojoen has delicious meat options, but I particularly like the Tan Shio (tongue salt) and Kalbi offcuts (salt sauce) because they are reasonably priced, have good meat quality, and taste really delicious, so I often order them for solo yakiniku. Additionally, Jojoen's Komutan soup has a rich flavor, with a creamy, collagen-rich broth, tender oxtail meat and honeycomb tripe, flavorful daikon, and is so delicious that it energizes me whenever I drink it, so I love it! The famous Jojoen salad always has fresh, crispy vegetables and pairs perfectly with the Jojoen dressing. Even if I try to replicate it at home, the taste is never quite the same, so I always end up ordering it at the restaurant. This place always makes me feel better when I visit.

The grilled skewered shoulder loin was served with a soy-based marinade, and it was very delicious. Although everything on the menu is tasty, dinner can be a bit pricey. The atmosphere, presentation of dishes, and customer service are all fantastic. It is located on the 9th floor of Marui, so I recommend sitting by the window.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate spring. The restaurant has semi-private rooms, so we felt safe dining there during these times. There were four of us dining together. We were impressed by the Tzuke sauce for the tongue, which had lemon slices in it, giving it a nice touch. We ordered two servings of tongue, negi salad, two servings of kalbi, two servings of mino, and two servings of harami. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and appetizing, making us eager to cook the meat carefully. There were two grilling stations for the four of us, allowing us to cook at our own pace. We also received a complimentary dessert, which was a cute panda-shaped vanilla treat. The meat was delicious, and we left the meal feeling very satisfied. I would like to try their rice dishes next time. The staff was attentive and considerate, making the dining experience even better.

The lunch hours are from 11:00 to 16:00, which is nice as it's a longer time frame. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is casual and cozy, with window seats offering a view of Ueno Station. For lunch, I ordered the Yakiniku Lunch C for ¥5500, which included premium beef, prime Kalbi, tongue salt, pickles, salad, namul, rice, soup, dessert, and a drink. The meat was not too thick but consistently delicious. Although the price is a bit high for lunch, I couldn't help but think that there are other cheaper and delicious options out there. However, the attentive and pleasant service seemed to make up for it.

The lunch at Jojoen was a bit underwhelming considering the price. It was the cheapest option, around 2500 yen, but the quality was lacking. Expensive meat does make a difference in taste. I think it's better to go to a local yakiniku restaurant for a better experience. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I had lunch at this yakiniku restaurant. I've only been twice, but the location is excellent! Even when other shops in the Marui building are crowded, this one is relatively easy to get into. The lunch yakiniku set for 2500 yen is quite satisfying! Although I always end up ordering extra hormone (offal) on top of that. The almond tofu dessert is also delicious. The female staff members provide great service. Thank you very much! At night, you could easily spend over 20,000 yen on yakiniku, but at lunch, you can enjoy a budget-friendly meal for under 10,000 yen!

We visited this restaurant in Taito Ward to celebrate our 1st anniversary of living there. We ended up choosing the "Flower Kaiseki" course for 8,500 yen, which includes appetizers and a choice of cold noodles or rice for the finale. We also tried the "Pot Pickled Kalbi Yaki" for 3,300 yen. The meal was accompanied by barley shochu, wine, and other drinks. The dessert was ice cream with a panda decoration, which was a nice touch. The cold noodles at the end were also delicious.

I went to Seryna for the first time with my uncle on 7/13! We ate a lot! There was liver and other dishes, and everything was delicious as expected from a famous restaurant!
