There are many Okinawan restaurants, but all the dishes here are delicious. Starting with light appetizers like shima rakkyo and sea grapes, to Okinawan specialties like Yaeyama kamaboko, suichika (Okinawan pancetta), rafute, and somin tanmen. One dish worth mentioning is the squid ink yakisoba, where the squid ink is kneaded into the noodles, allowing you to enjoy the flavor without worrying about blackening your teeth. The drink menu includes a variety of options such as sake, shochu, and awamori, in addition to the usual izakaya choices. For a satisfying finish, the go-to dish is definitely the sooki soba, with a rich broth that warms you up inside. You can also order a half portion or mini portion of sooki. If you like spicy food, adding some koregusu is recommended. The warm hospitality of the beautiful Okinawan female owner adds to the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. She is fluent in English, so English-speaking foreign tourists can feel at ease here.

First of all, the staff at the restaurant are fantastic. The food is delicious, especially the Raftee at this place is worth trying. The prices are generally low, but I have used it for entertaining and ended up spending around 6000 yen instead of the usual 4000 yen. I think this is about the maximum limit.

I visited around 9:00 PM on Friday. Although all the shops in Shinbashi are crowded at this time, I was able to get in. The shop is narrow, so it might be tough if you have a lot of luggage, but the shop kindly held it for me. It's not really a place for a quiet date as it was lively. There are many menu options, and it seems like you can fully enjoy Okinawan cuisine! Next time, I want to go when I'm hungry.
