I was able to enjoy elegant tofu dishes in spacious private rooms. The meal included various appetizers such as hot tofu sashimi, okara, black sesame tofu, chawanmushi with yuba, maguro sashimi on tofu, tofu shumai, hot pot (yudofu), assorted tofu dishes, fried yuba, nama-fu miso, yuba gratin, black rice with corn, pickles, yuba soup, vanilla ice cream with black honey, and azuki bean agar tofu dessert. Simple hot tofu paired well with salt. The yuba gratin had a creamy tofu texture that went well with ponzu sauce. I would like to visit again for a quiet and leisurely meal. I am interested in trying other courses as well.

First of all, the interior and atmosphere are really nice. I had the colorful lunch set. - The texture of the tofu salad is enjoyable - The yudofu has a gentle flavor - The nama-fu dengaku is absolutely delicious - The yuba tempura with lemon is a great combination - The rice with shrimp is beautiful - For an additional 500 yen, you can have a strawberry parfait for dessert, which I've always wanted to try since I was a kid. It's even better now as an adult. I arrived around 11 o'clock without a reservation and it was full. I managed to make a reservation for 1 o'clock on the spot. Reservations are required.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend and chose the colorful lunch course with a hojicha parfait for dessert. At first, I was worried that a course with just tofu would be too light, but I was very satisfied. The staff seemed a bit unfriendly, so I would rate the service as a 3.2 out of 5.

Delicious tofu dishes to celebrate♪ I often visit Ueno, but I didn't know about this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and you can enjoy a leisurely meal. From the appetizers to the sashimi, the flavors are delicate! It seems like a place often used for business dinners or celebrations✋ The dumplings are too good‼️ I also ordered chilled sake in a bamboo tube, which goes well with Japanese cuisine✋ The main dish was meat. The octopus rice and course meal were well-balanced and it was a great dining experience#OgiLog #UenoGourmet #UenoHirokoji #UenoHirokojiGourmet #Umenohana #UmenohanaYubaAndTofuRestaurant #Yuba #Tofu #SeaBream

Lunch with a friend who has a baby. We made a reservation in advance. The reservation was for a course of 2800 yen or more. We chose the 2800 yen colorful course. They offered a seasonal parfait for an additional 450 yen, but we decided against it since the colorful course was quite filling. We enjoyed various tofu dishes at Umenohana. Even though the portions were small, there were many dishes and we left feeling satisfied. It seems that many customers with children visit the restaurant, and the staff are all accustomed to dealing with babies, which was very helpful. Next time, I'd like to try the parfait.

Ueno Hiroko-koji✩Relaxing Japanese cuisine
Today, I visited the peony garden in Ueno Park, followed by the plum blossoms. I used to work at this restaurant a long time ago, doing dishes. Oh, the memories (laughs). The atmosphere inside the restaurant is elegant and relaxed. The dishes are served in small portions, but when eaten slowly, they are satisfying. Next time, I want to try a course with a bit more food (laughs). Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited Umeno Hana in Ueno Hirokoji. The interior of the restaurant is slightly dim, with spacious rooms and comfortable table seating, creating a calm atmosphere. I ordered the Colorful Lunch (2800 yen), which included: Meio Tofu, Yuba simmered dish, Chawanmushi, Tofu salad, famous Tofu shumai, Lotus root mochi, Yudofu, Nama-fu Tadaku, Yuba tempura, Yuba soup, Takikomi Gohan, Pickles, and Dessert. The variety of dishes made with tofu and yuba was delicious and satisfying. Despite the lively image of being mainly for banquets, it is a calm restaurant where you can enjoy a leisurely meal. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After the Corona pandemic, I met up with a friend who is much older than me for the first time in 3 months. Because of their age and medical condition requiring immunosuppressants, we had to avoid close contact at all costs! So, we decided to have a meal in a spacious private room. We chose a healthy tofu course to avoid any guilt! Usually, we go for the yudofu course, but this time we tried a course with two types of tofu topped with sauce! One was a seasonal corn-flavored sauce, and the other was a mapo eggplant sauce, which was basically like mapo tofu! Personally, I preferred the refreshing Japanese-style sauce. This place is perfect for avoiding close contact! I wonder if this will become a trend in the new post-Corona lifestyle style?

When looking for a place to enjoy a leisurely Japanese meal in the Ueno and Okachimachi area, this restaurant strikes a good balance between casual and formal, with consistently delicious dishes. With plenty of private rooms available, it seems like a great choice for gatherings where you want to be considerate of others. Their specialty is tofu dishes, including tofu dumplings that are satisfyingly filling. In addition to the mini dessert included in the course menu, I also ordered a seasonal parfait. It seems like a convenient option for group dinners such as memorial services, as some groups seem to use this restaurant for such occasions.

Ueno Hirokoji Kimono Suzunoya Building 5th Floor Ume no Hana Hirokoji Store Ume no Hana is a Japanese tofu cuisine restaurant with many branches. They offer a variety of set meals and the food is always good. This time, I went for a Japanese lunch with my university friends. We ordered the basic Aoi lunch set and added some extra dishes, making it around 4000 yen per person. The staff explained each dish carefully. We had dishes like roast beef with tofu, simmered summer vegetables with tofu, tofu salad with grated sweet potato, and more. The food was delicious, especially the steamed tofu dumplings, tofu and fig dessert, and fried ayu fish with yuba. We also enjoyed dishes like eggplant gratin and yuba soup. We were quite full by the end, but we still had some delicious rice with small dried fish and ginger. For dessert, we had water yokan with fresh yuba. Thanks to my friend's idea of adding extra dishes, we had a great and satisfying lunch in a private room for about 2 and a half hours.

I visited the restaurant at noon on a weekday and it was almost full. I had the Early Summer Beauty Course which included tempura of Reoka tofu and corn. Although the Reoka tofu was not originally included in the course, I added it as an extra. The Fukufuku tofu with spicy mapo sauce was quite flavorful and delicious. The summer oden was perfect for a slightly chilly July day, warming me up nicely. The Reoka tofu, which I always have when visiting Ume no Hana, was sweet like a dessert and very enjoyable. The staff's service was polite, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant.

I have been to this restaurant several times, and every course is always very delicious! The seasoning is light and refreshing. Personally, I recommend the chawanmushi, nama-fu dengaku, and the famous shumai, and I always order a course that includes these three items! The seasonal rice dish that comes towards the end of the course is so delicious that I can't help but eat it, even when I'm already full. The staff's service is very polite, making it a very cozy place to dine. However, as others have mentioned, during busy weekends, the dishes may come out a bit rushed. Since there is no charge for private rooms, it is recommended to make a reservation early if you want to use a private room on weekends.

A full course meal of tofu. The dishes were all gentle in flavor and each tofu dish was carefully crafted. As a fan of Japanese cuisine, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
