Oh no... Why am I crying? It's not like my mom bullied me or anything. The reason is the price increase at Sushiro... Sushiro is a casual and affordable conveyor belt sushi chain, but somehow the prices have gone up. Ugh, sniff... This time, I visited the "Sushiro Ueno" store. The store is located on the basement floor of a mixed-use building. It's not important, but there is a wheelchair lift on the stairs leading to the store entrance, like in a subway station. It's amazing for a conveyor belt sushi chain store. However, to enter the mixed-use building where the stairs are located, you need to overcome some steps, so wheelchair users may have a hard time. It's counterproductive. The minimum price for nigiri sushi at "Sushiro Ueno" was 150 yen including tax. And the octopus, which is my favorite, costs at least 210 yen including tax. This is tough. I reluctantly ordered 2 plates of squid (150 yen including tax). In addition, I ordered salmon, salmon cheese, tuna, and natto battleship rolls, all priced at 150 yen including tax. A total of 6 plates with 12 pieces cost 900 yen including tax. It's not filling, but I guess it's still okay. I hope they don't increase the prices any further.

I visited the Sushiro Ueno branch of the conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Firstly, each piece of sushi was very fresh, with a nice balance of sweetness and umami, and I was surprised at how delicious it was for the price. The amount and taste of the sushi rice was perfect, and the balance with the toppings was excellent. In a way, because it is a chain restaurant, they were able to provide consistently delicious sushi that you can rely on. The rotation of the plates was good, and everything from cleaning up to serving the next customer to the reservation system was very efficient. Not only was the taste great, but each plate was also reasonably priced, making it great value for money. I was once again very satisfied.

My wife wanted to drink sake at a sushi restaurant. So, we decided to go to Sushiro the next day. The restaurant was bustling with families and young people. After waiting in a cramped waiting area for 15 minutes, we were seated at a table. I ordered a beer right away, but it was not as crisp and flavorful as I had hoped. We ordered classic Edo-style sushi like mozzarella salmon basil nigiri, shrimp avocado nigiri, shrimp tempura nigiri, and fried potatoes, as well as the limited-time spicy shibiramien (supervised by a popular ramen shop). The mozzarella salmon basil nigiri had small cheese pieces and a faint basil flavor. The fried potatoes were overcooked, but the shrimp tempura nigiri was crispy and delicious. The spicy shibiramien had a disappointing lack of firmness and wheat flavor in the noodles, but the soup was delicious. We were impressed by the soup's deliciousness and decided to order mozzarella cheese tempura next. It was crispy, juicy, and irresistible. We also enjoyed dishes like yellowtail pickle, Thai sesame pickle, shrimp tempura roll, and eel liver gunkan. Each dish was delicious, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. With the help of sake, we had a great time. Lastly, we indulged in a parfait for dessert, even though we were full. I think the appeal of dining at Sushiro lies in the fresh ingredients and reasonable prices. The dishes paired well with beer, and my wife and I had a great time. However, please note that if alcohol had not been involved, the latter part of the review might have had a different evaluation. So, I recommend considering other reviewers' opinions as well.

It was bustling with many customers on a Sunday afternoon. It's also very popular among tourists from overseas. We waited a bit and were seated at a table. The assorted tuna sushi was amazing, with rich flavors. The yellowtail was thickly sliced and very satisfying. The tuna tataki onigiri that was recommended was also quite delicious.

Lunch during a business trip. I had Negitoro Gunkan sushi for the first time in a while. I wanted to compare it to the sushi I had at Hamazushi the other day. Yeah, Sushiro had more of a tuna flavor. The gunkan sushi with the chef's choice of fish that day was also good. I wish the seaweed had a richer flavor though. But for just over 100 yen, I can't complain about the luxury.

On a day off, we had lunch as a family and everyone was satisfied. There was a special event offering octopus balls for only 100 yen, and my son who loves octopus kept going back for more. The fried food was hot and crispy, which made us all very happy. And of course, the dessert was delicious too.

Good afternoon. I am Private Tsuchinoko. I felt like eating sushi, so I came to Sushiro at Ueno. Today, it's lunch for two people. We arrived at 12 o'clock. Since we made a reservation online, we were able to smoothly take our seats. When you make a reservation, you are issued a "reservation number." Input that into the terminal and a paper with the "seat number" will be printed, so just go to the seat with that number! In my case, it was seat number "25." First, we started with some tea. Currently, Sushiro is holding the "Golden Week Collaboration Festival." They have items like "Hamachi Belly" and "Tai Belly" that only come around on the sushi conveyor belt, but they were not available this time, so we decided to order using the tablet. We ordered 8 items! The prices are based on the "urban store" rates. [Large Ark Shell] The shell was thick and nice! Surprisingly, such a good-sized shell was only 170 yen. [Salmon (3 pieces)] 3 pieces for 170 yen is a good deal! Especially the salmon on the far left in the picture was amazing with its fatty taste! [Pickled Sesame Red Snapper] The pickling was lacking, and there was no sesame flavor. Being red snapper, the texture of the meat was good. [Conger Eel] The eel was fatty and delicious. It's recommended to eat it with the "sweet sauce" on the table. [Shrimp Cheese] This kind of junk sushi is also a charm of Sushiro. Shrimp and cheese go really well together! [Natural Thin-Sliced Meat Comparison] This was my first time eating "thin-sliced meat," and the firm texture was delicious. I dipped it in soy sauce, but it might be better to eat it as it is? The version with "spiciness" on top in the picture didn't have much "spiciness," so I thought adding more "spiciness" would be good. [Unlimited Chanja Roll] This was one of the best rolls I've had!! If you like Chanja, you'll love it. The price is cheap, so if you're going to the GW Fair, I recommend trying it! [Rich Shrimp Miso Wonton Noodles] The shrimp flavor was rich, and it's recommended to order it instead of miso soup. The amount of noodles is small. It's nice to be able to order ramen at a conveyor belt sushi place. There are also many types of ramen, so it's good that you can order your favorite noodles! It was so delicious! I want to come back again (´∀`) Thank you to everyone who always reads my reviews m(__)m My writing may be a bit rough, but I hope it can be helpful as a reference for evaluating dishes.

Good afternoon. I am Private Tsuchinoko. I felt like having sushi, so I came to Sushiro. Today, I am having a solo lunch. Currently, Sushiro is holding an event called "Tohoku Sanriku Delicious Food Market". I was intrigued by the menu featuring delicious sushi from Sanriku. I quickly placed an order for the following items: 1. Miso soup with seaweed and clams 2. Kama-age tataki shirasu (boiled whitebait) 3. Fuka katsu nigiri (deep-fried shark) 4. Pickled sea urchin wrap I had eaten a lot for breakfast this morning, so I decided to go with four items. Sushi on a conveyor belt is convenient because you can order a few items at a time. I started with the miso soup because I wanted to drink it. I ordered the "Miso soup with seaweed and clams". When I took a sip, the taste of seaweed was rich, and the soup had a slight thickness to it. The clams were delicious, but a couple had too much sand, which was disappointing. While enjoying the miso soup, my sushi arrived! First, I tried the "Kama-age tataki shirasu". I drizzled soy sauce, added a little wasabi, and rolled it in seaweed for easy eating. It was a bit salty! I might have used too much soy sauce. There were plenty of whitebait, though, so I was satisfied. Next was the menu item I was most curious about, the "Fuka katsu nigiri"! It was surprisingly large and took me by surprise. When I took a bite, it had a crispy texture with a firm meaty bite. Surprisingly, the meat was from a shark! It tasted similar to grilled yellowtail, maybe? There was no strange smell or taste. Lastly, I had the "Pickled sea urchin wrap". Since it said "pickled", I didn't use soy sauce. I added a little wasabi. It had a rich flavor with a pleasant aftertaste. Not too salty, and the aroma of the seaweed was delightful. It was delicious! I thought about coming back again (´∀`) Thank you to everyone who reads my reviews. I hope my somewhat lacking writing can be somewhat helpful for evaluating the dishes.

Today, I walked from Okachimachi to Ueno and stumbled upon a new Sushiro restaurant. There was no wait, so I decided to stop by. The squid was a bit frozen, but overall, the speed, price, and taste were excellent. I had 10 plates in about 15 minutes. It was convenient and good, so I will definitely visit again! ✨✨

Rotating sushi is mostly Sushiro or Kura Sushi. In terms of quality, variety of menu, and price, I think they are the most stable chains. Today's highlight was the marinated sesame sea bream nigiri. I had 3 plates of that and 4 plates of salmon varieties, making up half of my total order. The disappointing dish was the rich crab mixed soba. I thought it would be like a ramen shop's mixed soba from the name and picture, but in reality, it looked and tasted almost like crab cream pasta. I was completely fooled (bitter smile). In my personal opinion, the hits and misses with noodle dishes are quite clear in rotating chain restaurants.

I received 2 plates of 320 yen dishes, 6 plates of 170 yen dishes, and 3 plates of 120 yen dishes. I tried the sweet shrimp battleship sushi (2 plates), the 120 yen swordtip squid (1 plate), the 320 yen seared squid (1 plate), the sesame soy sauce yellowtail (1 plate), the new technique red snapper (1 plate), the seared mackerel with ponzu sauce (1 plate), the shrimp and crab tarutaru (1 plate), the seared conger eel (2 plates), and the seared medium fatty tuna (1 plate). I always end up coming back to my favorites, the sweet shrimp battleship sushi and the seared conger eel. The swordtip squid was really good.

This is Sushiro in Ueno. It was my first visit on this day due to an obligation. I arrived at 18:00 and saw that the waiting time was 40 minutes on the ticket, which made me want to leave. However, I decided to wait. In reality, I was able to enter in about 25 minutes. Sushi is rotating on the conveyor belt, but if you order using the touch panel, the sushi will come on a separate lane. With this system, it felt like the rotating belt was unnecessary. Sushiro is known for its potato and ramen, but I focused on ordering sushi. I started with sea bream for 170 yen. The slices were thin and the rice was small, indicating cost-cutting. The sea bream was quite tasty, but the rice wasn't very good. The rice itself was mediocre, and the unnatural sweetness was noticeable. Next was horse mackerel for 120 yen, which was decent. Ikura (salmon roe) for 120 yen had an average taste for the price. Enagawa (fluke fin) for 120 yen was surprisingly delicious. Red clam yukhoe for 120 yen tasted like yukhoe and the clam was crunchy, surprisingly tasty. Yellowtail for 120 yen was the standard rotating sushi yellowtail taste. An ankake chawanmushi (steamed egg custard with sauce) for 200 yen was initially okay, but the sauce was better than the custard part. It had scallops inside, which were delicious. The fatty tuna for 120 yen was delicious, worth trying on its own. It's understandable considering the price, but the rice was not good. It's a shame because the toppings were not bad. It's even more disappointing because it's not artisanal sushi.

Salted King Salmon (187 yen), Beef Salted Kalbi (132 yen), Salmon Tartare (187 yen), White Clam Comparison (352 yen), Fresh and Seared Grated Salmon (132 yen), Sesame-marinated Red Seabream (187 yen), Seared Salmon (132 yen), Abalone Comparison (352 yen), Simmered Abalone, Fresh Battleship Tuna with Green Onions (132 yen), Ark Shell (132 yen), Golden Eye Snapper Comparison (352 yen), Seared and Charred Soy Sauce Special Fatty Tuna (352 yen), Fluffy Grilled Conger Eel Sushi (352 yen), Special Fatty Tuna (187 yen), Jumbo Grilled Salmon (132 yen), Roast Beef Mountain (352 yen), Miso Soup with Seaweed and Seaweed (220 yen), Condensed Milk Strawberry Parfait (330 yen) (Note: Prices shown are tax included). I have been maintaining my palate by dining at revolving sushi restaurants to prevent it from becoming too accustomed to high-end sushi restaurants. However, it seems like it may be too late as even when I eat at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, I find the vinegared rice to taste chemically processed. Even when I eat high-end ingredients like fatty tuna and abalone, I end up muttering "you get what you pay for." It seems more enjoyable to try out salmon and other unique dishes that traditional Edo-style sushi restaurants don't offer at revolving sushi restaurants. The salmon dishes priced at 132 yen each (66 yen per piece) are remarkably affordable, thanks to the large chain's pricing strategy. The beef kalbi marinated in salt sauce also pairs up with the chemically processed vinegared rice, creating a double chemical taste. I believe that these unique and unconventional dishes are more worth trying.

I arrived at the restaurant a little after 1:30 pm on Saturday, and the waiting time shown on the entrance screen was 40 minutes, but it was different for solo diners. I only waited for about 8 minutes before being called to the counter seats! I ordered tuna, yellowtail, red clam, three types of salmon, and chawanmushi. Everything was delicious, but the yellowtail and salmon were especially tasty and melt-in-your-mouth. I might try the udon or ramen next time. Thank you for the meal! *PayPay is accepted.

Today I went to the Ueno Ameyoko area. I was undecided on where to have lunch by myself, and I was really wandering around. I suddenly realized that I hadn't been to Sushiro in over a year and a half, so I decided to visit. I entered the restaurant at 11:50 am and was guided by the touch panel. There was no interaction with the staff, which was quite refreshing. Today's order: Engawa (132 yen), Natural Indian Tuna Chutoro (187 yen), Shrimp Tempura Udon (330 yen), Popular 3-piece Assortment (132 yen), Red Shrimp (132 yen). It was nice to have a light meal. The Engawa on the iron plate is a must-have. I love sea urchin, but unfortunately it was absent today. I realized that I ended up eating a lot of shrimp. Sushiro once in a while is not bad at all. I enjoyed my meal. Visited for lunch on May 21, 2021. Rating: 3.08

If you come to Ueno, you might be told that there are other places to drink, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to visit Sushiro during their Kyushu Fair! The last Kyushu Fair didn't have much variety in terms of dishes, so I couldn't try many things, but this time there was a good selection available. Here is what I ordered: - Draft beer - Horse sashimi tasting - Large cut kanpachi - Salt-seared bonito - Kibinago with yuzu and pepper tempura - Fatty tuna and green onion roll - Highball with a twist - Large clam - Hamachi - Broccoli tartar salad - Lemon sour - Yamaya mentaiko wrap - Sakura shrimp and whitebait tasting My favorite was the fatty tuna and green onion roll. The crispiness of the green onion was very refreshing. It was a bit pricier than other items, but it was worth it. I hope they make it a regular menu item. As someone who has been into mentaiko lately, I also enjoyed the Yamaya mentaiko wrap.

I finished work and my brain, brainwashed by CF, remembered that there was a restaurant nearby, so I went to the Sushiro in Ueno 6-chome. This branch is a city-type store, with prices different from regular stores. I ordered the limited-time menu item, the extra-large jumbo scallop, using the touch panel. It was flowing down the dedicated lane. With "extra-large jumbo" in the name, you can trust it. And at 120 yen before tax, it's a great deal. I also tried the limited-time menu item, the one-piece Anago sushi. Under the Anago, there were 4 pieces of shari, all for 500 yen before tax. I also tried the limited-time Hokkaido iwashi tempura. It was fun to watch them roll the sushi with seaweed. I love blue fish. I also had a second helping of scallops because I wanted to eat more. I thoroughly enjoyed the extra-large jumbo scallop. Thank you for the meal!

Yesterday, I had an early dinner at Sushiro Ueno branch. I was drawn to visit by a TV commercial advertising a special sale. When I arrived around 4 pm, there was hardly any wait, but I still waited for a table. I opted for a table seat and enjoyed healthy and delicious fish dishes on sale, including Otoro, squid, flounder, sardine sushi, yellowtail toro, seaweed miso soup, horse mackerel, sweet shrimp tempura, and Negitoro with Indian tuna. Everything was so delicious! I was able to sit alone at a 4-person table, perhaps due to the open space or the effort to maintain social distance during the pandemic. Ordering through the touch panel was convenient. The Otoro sale ends tomorrow, but there are still ongoing campaigns, so I plan to visit again. Don't miss this opportunity, everyone!

I went to a revolving sushi restaurant in Ueno with my daughter, who had recently tried revolving sushi for the first time with her friends at Sushiro. We made a reservation online and when we arrived, we had to check in again because we took too long to park our bikes. We ordered using a tablet, and my daughter was more familiar with the system. I was looking forward to trying the blowfish set that I saw on a TV show, but it wasn't available. My daughter had miso soup with clams, while I had herring roe pickled in soy sauce (a bit salty), seaweed and long yam with fermented soybeans (delicious), cold yellowtail (firm and fresh), a mixed plate of fish (good herring, decent mackerel, average sardine), and more. My daughter had eel, beef, herring, and horse mackerel, while I had foie gras, Kyoto Ine tuna platter (good quality, especially the medium fatty tuna), and more. The sushi didn't have wasabi pre-applied, which was nice. The herring, yellowtail, and Kyoto Ine tuna were highlights. I wish I had known about the collaboration with chef Sawa from EsSawada for the mapo udon dish. That would have been worth trying.

I visited Sushiro Ueno store around 11 am on a certain day in November 2020. It is located about a 2-3 minute walk from Keisei Ueno Station. The spacious restaurant was about 30% full. I sat at the counter alone and ordered sushi using a touch panel. I tried the seared mackerel for 120 yen, which was a large piece and tasted good, although I prefer it a bit more seared. The bluefin tuna for 170 yen had a taste similar to medium fatty tuna, although the pieces were a bit small, they were flavorful. The squid with salt and lemon for 120 yen had a pleasant texture, although the lemon flavor was not very strong. The seasonal live snow crab for 170 yen had a nice balance of sweetness and was delicious, although one piece was not enough. The seasonal whitebait roll with seven spices for 120 yen was spicy and had a good texture, it was the best taste of the day. The salmon assortment (jumbo fatty salmon, seared fatty salmon, regular salmon) for 170 yen had a satisfying taste, especially the jumbo fatty salmon. I finished with 6 plates and the bill was less than 1,000 yen. Sushiro is a convenient place to enjoy systematically delicious sushi.
