PARCO_ya Ueno's 6th floor restaurant area is a roast beef restaurant. I visited around 8:30 pm on Friday after watching a movie. The restaurant is quite spacious, but there were only 2 groups of customers. It was empty. This floor, except for "Kanazawa Maimon Sushi," always seems to be empty. Now, the menu mainly consists of roast beef and half & half bowls with steak, beef kalbi, beef toro, sukiyaki, etc. I was a little unsure about what to pair with the roast beef, but I ordered the most popular dish here. ■ Hokkaido Beef Steak & Roast Beef Bowl (2,180 yen) Comes with raw egg, potato salad, miso soup (with seaweed and Nameko mushrooms), and pickles. Both the roast beef and steak have the same sweet and fruity onion sauce. The roast beef is moist and tender, very delicious. The lean steak is quite rare inside and chewy to the point of being difficult to bite through. This type of steak may be good for those who like it, but it was a bit different from my preference. Maybe I should have chosen beef kalbi or sukiyaki. Overall, it's not bad, but I felt the prices were a bit high for the food quality. Also, the way it is labeled is a bit confusing, but the roast beef actually uses American beef, not Hokkaido beef as indicated. After watching a movie at TOHO Cinemas Ueno, we randomly chose a restaurant on the first floor and were pleasantly surprised by the incredibly tender roast beef. We ordered the "Beef Steak & Roast Beef Bowl" and the "Beef Kalbi & Roast Beef Bowl" for two. At first, we ate normally, but adding a raw egg yolk halfway through made it even better.

Located on the 6th floor of Parco Ueno, this casual restaurant was clean and had neat tables, which seemed to attract many solo female diners on this day. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu, the Furano Wagyu Sirloin Steak for ¥3,480, along with a set meal (rice, miso soup, pickles) for an additional ¥330. I also had a glass of red wine for ¥660. The vegetables and rice (Yumepirika) seemed to be from Hokkaido. The steak was cooked rare and served on a hot plate with stones for self-cooking to your preferred doneness. The meat was of good quality, so it was tender even when rare. It was pre-cut, making it easy to eat with chopsticks and suitable for elderly diners. It was a bit disappointing that there was no salt provided and no salad on the menu. There were two fatty pieces that felt like a bit of a letdown, as I wished they had been trimmed. It seems like rice bowls, such as roast beef bowl, are the main items on the menu. The service was quick, making it perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

I ordered a roast beef bowl with salmon and ikura on top! It was very delicious and I finished it in no time!!! It's such a luxurious dish and the cost performance is great at around 1500 yen! The staff was also polite and the atmosphere was nice!

During my visit to Obihiro and through mail order, I have had the opportunity to taste the meat from Toyonishi Farm several times, but to see it here as well is surprising. I received the "Kalbi and Roast Beef Bowl". They use "Obihiro beef" developed by Toyonishi Farm. "Obihiro beef" is a combination of lean meat and marbled meat. I am impressed by their philosophy of creating meat from its quality. When I tasted it, the roast beef was so tender that it could be torn apart with chopsticks, and it was fresh and juicy. It had a unique sweetness and flavor reminiscent of raw meat, which was subtly delicious. The kalbi was thinner than I expected, slightly crispy, making it difficult to distinguish the meat quality, but when I chewed it, the sweetness of the meat and fat was truly delicious. The only thing I regret is that the roast beef sauce was already added. The sauce was a bit too strong, overpowering the flavor of the meat. Since they offer delicious meat, I would prefer to have the sauce served separately and choose how much to add. Next time, I would like to try the other Hokkaido brand beef "Kitausiri" offered at this restaurant.

The restaurant "Hokkaido Kuromaru Ueno Store" in the restaurant floor of Ueno Parco-ya has been renovated. The management company remains the same, Yoshimi Co., Ltd. They are known for their roast beef and steak. I ordered the ikura roast beef bowl. It came with a raw egg on top, but it wasn't fishy. The roast beef was tender and delicious, although it lacked a bit of flavor. The rice was also good. The only downside was that the water tasted strange. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Very tender...Hokkaido...huge portions...

I ordered the special limited menu of beef kalbi and roast beef bowl for 1,437 yen (excluding tax) to celebrate the opening. I arrived around 7 pm on a weekday and didn't have to wait to be seated, but it seems to be a popular restaurant within Parco Ya. Between the roast beef and kalbi, the roast beef was definitely more delicious. The kalbi had some tough parts, which was a bit disappointing. If it had a bit more volume, I would have rated it 4 stars.
