The restaurant has a young and energetic staff. I thought it was an interesting idea to have a designated "poster girl" to boost staff motivation, whether through voting or surveys. The signature dish, iron pot dumplings, was delicious, but other menu items were mediocre. One of the selling points is that they stay open relatively late.

I like the Hakata Theater and often visit. On the 13th, it was "Gyoza Day" and one serving was 130 yen, so I visited around 7 pm on Saturday. There were nearby events like the Kanda Festival and the University of Tokyo festival, so the restaurant was almost full. I was told that the gyoza would take quite some time, so I ordered motsunabe, yakitori, oden, etc. There are benefits for members such as free appetizers and the option to change to a huge beer for free. The menu itself is reasonably priced and everything is delicious, so it's my favorite izakaya. If you go on the 13th, it's recommended to order the gyoza all at once because it takes over 30 minutes for them to arrive.

There is also a store in Okachimachi nearby, so be careful when meeting up! Ordered gyoza, chicken liver sashimi, etc. (The chicken liver is really delicious!!) Drinks like tomato highball. They have a huge size, 1 liter apparently. Everyone around me was drinking these huge drinks, haha. It's cost-effective, the food is delicious, and it's one of my favorite restaurants.

This is a restaurant located around the midpoint between Ueno-hirokoji Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Yushima Station on the Chiyoda Line. Operated by Ikka Dining Project, the same company behind "Kodawarimon Ikka" and "Oshu Jingisukan Sakaba Ramu-chan." On this Friday night, I visited with two friends after making a reservation in advance. We had reserved seats for a two-hour time slot starting at 7 pm. The restaurant was quite busy, with a lively atmosphere despite not having a small number of seats. The interior was designed to resemble a street food stall, and while the seating wasn't particularly spacious, it somehow managed to create a sense of unity between the customers and the restaurant. The atmosphere inside was like a theme park street food village. The staff were all dressed in loose-fitting shirts reminiscent of carrying a mikoshi (portable shrine) during a festival. The service from the waitstaff was friendly and they recommended menu items and introduced the restaurant's app without being pushy. You can order food and drinks from your own smartphone, and when I accidentally ordered three portions of hormone hot pot instead of one, the staff came to confirm before preparing the dishes. The food was delicious, even compared to other chain izakayas in the same price range. The signature iron pot dumplings and hormone hot pot were great, but I particularly enjoyed dishes like "chicken liver sashimi," "sesame mackerel," and "torotaku yukke," which were raw and difficult to disguise but still tasty. The drink menu had a variety of playful sours, and despite the crowded restaurant, our orders were quickly brought to us. Personally, I became a fan of the sweet potato shochu highball.

The atmosphere and cost performance of the Hakata food stall-themed izakaya are great. You can enjoy dishes that resemble the taste of Hakata at a reasonable price. However, the drinks took quite a while to come out, around 10-15 minutes. When prompted, they were served immediately, so maybe the order just hadn't gone through.

The first party, which started 24 hours and 30 minutes after the zeroth party, was finally approaching the time of the first party after returning home, sleeping, going to work the next morning, and finishing work. We went to Ueno Park and Shinobazu Pond for cherry blossom viewing, and then went for drinks in March to celebrate a friend's birthday. Since it was the day before, the friend made a reservation and got the number of gyoza for free equal to their age. The friend seemed to be a regular, and we toasted with a free 1-liter beer size upgrade. While waiting for the gyoza to cook, we snacked on cabbage with salted kelp and quail eggs. After about 15 minutes, the gyoza arrived. There were over 50 of them, so the iron pot was quite large! The Hakata gyoza were bite-sized and easy to eat, but a bit more crispiness would have been nice. With just gyoza and beer, we were already full. The free drink size upgrade service for the gyoza was a nice touch, and the value for money was highly rated.

I went to Ueno this time to see a different atmosphere from the Hakata theater I visit every month! When I entered the store, I was greeted by the energetic voices of the staff! The festive atmosphere with the background music was delightful. This time, I tried the birthday dumplings as a member benefit♡ I didn't know this before, but if you visit between 4-6 pm on weekdays, they have a Happy Hour where you can enjoy all-you-can-drink for only 500 yen for an hour, which is unbelievably cheap! Among the 180 yen menu items, I liked the edamame the most. It was ridiculously cheap thanks to this offer. The Ueno store has cute chopstick wrappers ❤️ The atmosphere is great, so if you haven't been there yet, please visit at least once ❤️

Recently, I've been drinking a lot around this area. This time it was Ueno, Okachimachi, and Yushima area! I'm exploring this area a lot. Today, we went to this crowded restaurant! It's perfect for drinking with friends, with a lively atmosphere and a wide variety of menu items. We started with a toast with draft beer and then ordered a bunch of interesting menu items that caught our eye. As you can see in the photo, everything was reasonably priced and suited the atmosphere. I love this kind of place! We even had ramen as a finishing touch at this restaurant. Haha, it was a fun night!

Ueno Hirokoji Station is also close to Yushima Station, and the restaurant is located on the first floor. I was turned away without a reservation last time, so I made a reservation for today for a second chance. However, my companion was running late, so I went in alone first. I explained the situation to the staff and entered. The staff were all very friendly and full of smiles. I started by sipping on Oolong tea and munching on the salted seaweed cabbage appetizer. Feeling like I should order more, I got the chilled tomato for 180 yen and the squid mentaiko for 180 yen. The chilled tomato was served with salt, and the squid was sweet and delicious when mixed with the mentaiko. When my companion arrived, we toasted with beer. We ordered the teppan gyoza for 290 yen per person, horse sashimi for 730 yen, meat tofu for 380 yen, and a set of 5 Hakata skewers for 680 yen. The teppan gyoza is bite-sized and tasty even without sauce. The horse sashimi was also delicious. The meat tofu had a unique sweet soy sauce from Kyushu, which was quite good. The Hakata skewers included tomato bacon, bonjiri, and tsukune, among others. The tsukune was fluffy and tasty. I forgot what the other two skewers were, but the atmosphere in the restaurant was lively and bustling with customers coming in one after another. It felt like a fun and lively atmosphere, similar to drinking at a food stall. It was a great place to be.

The atmosphere at the shop in Kamata was quite nice, so I decided to try this place in Yushima for drinks, but...hmm, the customer service here is not as good as in Kamata. Well, I understand that they want to attract regular customers at this trendy place, but the staff here tend to chat a lot, which can be a bit overwhelming. Also, despite the discounts I saw on apps, the prices end up being high. I'm starting to feel like this is not a recommended place. The tonkatsu is all about appearance, but I don't need that much cabbage, and they even offer free refills on the cabbage as the appetizer. When you look at it objectively, it's not so great. (-_-;)

I tried it because I am from Kyushu. The Hakata ramen had a Nagahama-like taste, but it was a bit lacking in quantity as it was more like a street stall style. Thanks to that, strategically, I devoured two orders of gyoza and a kalbi stone bibimbap! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lively as it was past 10 o'clock. It is recommended to become a member of the restaurant as there are many benefits, especially for those who frequently use izakayas. The slightly small ramen was 550 yen, two orders of gyoza were 580 yen, and the stone bibimbap was around 600 yen, so it all came to under 2000 yen.

Even in Ueno, there are Kyushu-style restaurants lined up everywhere, where people from Kyushu can take a breather. This time, I wanted to try this restaurant, Hakata Gekijo. When I tried to order a drink and toast, all the staff shouted, "Thank you for your hard work today!" It was a bit embarrassing, but we all toasted together. The famous teppan gyoza had a crispy texture and was very delicious! The drinks were also quite large, although it's hard to tell from the photos. The challenge of eating a large amount of teppan gyoza was going on at another table. The amount was huge, but when I asked the staff, many people actually manage to finish it. The gyoza is delicious and not too big, so maybe it's doable? There were other tables celebrating birthdays, and there was a festive atmosphere. I will definitely come back again!

I visited after 7:00 PM and the restaurant was already full! They have a great membership system where after visiting three times, you become a VIP member! As a VIP member, you can upgrade your first drink from a regular size to a huge jug for the same price! And this offer applies to everyone in your group! It was really worth it! Visited Hakata Gekijou for the second time. Last time I had the course meal, but this time I ordered a la carte. The dumplings and chicken cutlet were delicious! Especially the chicken cutlet was outstanding. The drinks were also large-sized and low-priced. The staff were friendly and lovely. I will definitely visit again.

The iron pot dumplings were delicious, but not necessarily something I would crave to eat again. The oden was amazing in terms of cost performance. We split it in half between two people and felt so satisfied. It tasted like happiness, with a strong bonito flavor. The cheese that stretched and was said to be "Instagram-worthy" was really tasty. I forgot to take a picture of it. The Hakata mentaiko motsu stew was great, especially because you could choose the level of spiciness. I ordered the least spicy option since I'm not good with spicy food. While I was struggling with the heat, a kind waitress recommended the cheese risotto as a finishing dish, but my companion doesn't like spicy food so we ended up with ramen. The thin noodles were perfect with the broth.
