Yesterday, I went to a recommended place and had a drink before heading home. It was a 2-hour all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink deal for 2,000 yen (excluding tax), with an additional 300 yen for adding draft beer. You had to order through a system where you scan a QR code with your smartphone and access the ordering site. They asked us to order two dishes at a time, which was a bit of a hassle. You couldn't order drinks through your phone in the last 30 minutes (they explained this at the beginning). The black pepper and garlic chicken thighs were delicious, so I ordered them twice, but the second time was too salty. The salted boiled edamame, onion slices, coarsely ground sausage, fried potatoes, garlic butter, and other dishes were served in paper bags that you shake onto plates. There was quite a lot of food. The fried mackerel, young chicken tempura, fried dumplings, rolled omelet, black honey soy milk flower, smooth soy milk flower, and strawberry soy milk flower were all good, but the soy milk flowers were a bit disappointing. I also had kimchi fried rice and ended up feeling full, even though the portions were small. The food came out quickly, and the tables were a bit cramped, but overall, it was cheap and okay. I visited a recommended restaurant in Ikebukuro. The drinks were really weak, almost like water. The fruit liquor on the rocks was surprisingly small in quantity. Well, it's all-you-can-drink so I could just order more, but still... The Ikebukuro branch had the perfect alcohol strength and was amazing, so it's disappointing. The food was delicious as usual, and the speed of service was not a problem. I just wish they could do something about the alcohol strength.
