First of all, the photos on Tabelog or the website are not helpful at all. Also, it's not cheap at all, so be careful if you're looking for good value for money. We used a private room for 2 people. Honestly, this is the worst izakaya I have ever been to. Here is what we ordered (excluding tax):
- 3 draft beers: 1,950 yen
- 2 highballs: 1,180 yen
- Motsunabe (can be ordered for 2 people): 2,760 yen
- Dashimaki Tamago (rolled omelette)
- Fried octopus
- Assorted sashimi
- Zosui (rice porridge to finish the nabe)
In addition to this, we had an appetizer for 2 people for about 650 yen. In total, it was around 9,800 yen before tax. Adding service charge, seating fee (for the private room?), and consumption tax, it came to 13,068 yen.
Things that made us uncomfortable:
- We were not shown to our seats and were simply instructed to go upstairs
- Even after being seated, it took almost 10 minutes for the menu to be brought to us, despite the restaurant being empty
- When we ordered sashimi, they served us a dish that had been dropped outside the private room
- The call button didn't bring any waitstaff, no matter which one we pressed
- Finally, we were abruptly told to pay the bill and leave
- Looking back, even the phone reservation was handled poorly
- The actual interior and food were far worse than the photos on Tabelog or the website
As a rough guide, one drink and two dishes will cost you over 3,000 yen. If you eat normally, it will probably cost around 6,000 yen per person. Well, I will never go back. It was a very unpleasant experience.
