It was my first visit on a weekday night, but it's conveniently located near the station so it was packed with office workers. The black fried rice, drool chicken, mapo tofu, etc. were all delicious. The beer was only 330 yen, and the dishes ranged from 380 yen, surpassing the affordability. Especially the drool chicken is a must-try. The staff were all friendly and easy to talk to. A wonderful restaurant with delicious food!

I will have lunch in Ueno today. I decided to try the popular Ebi Chahan at a restaurant located on the second floor of "Kushiro", just a 1-minute walk from Ueno Station. I arrived at 11:42 AM and there were 7 customers already inside. I ordered the Ebi Chahan, which was served with a side of mini Mapo Tofu, salad, soup, and pickles. The Ebi Chahan was moist and lightly seasoned, with shrimp, leeks, eggs, and lettuce. The Mapo Tofu had a mild spiciness with a hint of Sichuan pepper, which paired well with the Ebi Chahan. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and full. I paid using PayPay and received a 20% discount through the Taito Ward campaign, bringing the total to 440 yen. I enjoyed my meal on December 9, 2022.

2022.12.06 (Tue) Rain First visit 11:03 Entered the store First customer, 4 customers arrived later 11:11 Served Vegetable Noodles + Half Fried Rice: 550 yen + 100 yen I visited for an early lunch before work. The restaurant is now operating where the "Sichuan and Tohoku Cuisine Shukyo Kaku Ueno Store" used to be. (It is unclear if it is a new opening or just a change of signboard.) I entered the store located on the second floor after climbing the stairs. Upon entering, I was directed to an available seat by the staff and sat down. Cold green tea was promptly served. I checked the menu and ordered the "Vegetable Noodles." I also requested the half fried rice for an additional 100 yen. The order was served in about 7 minutes. The vegetable noodles had a chewy texture and were filled with plenty of vegetables, providing a satisfying volume. The soup had a smooth flavor with a hint of pepper. The half fried rice was made to order, not pre-made, and although it had a slightly higher oil content for the additional 100 yen, it was deliciously prepared. In addition, the meal came with salad and pickles, making the cost performance very good. The service was polite and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was like a pub. (No smoking during lunchtime?) Thank you for the meal!!

The staff are very friendly, and the food is unbelievably delicious for the price. I always doubt if it's really this good for the price. The garlic chive and liver, green pepper pork, and mapo tofu are ultimate deliciousness. I want to visit this restaurant every time I go to Tokyo!
