Located a 2-3 minute walk from the south exit of Kinshicho Station on the JR Sobu Line in Sumida-ku, Tokyo. ★First visit in May 2023★ This restaurant is on the 3rd floor of a building in a corner of the arcade where drinking establishments line up. It's a place where you can witness the battle between the staff calling in customers and the security guard (lol). I visited on a weekday (Tuesday) around 7:30 pm. About 20% of the seats were occupied by other customers. When I entered the elevator, I found myself inside the restaurant! There were table seats along the windows and I could see some private rooms, but I wasn't sure (lol). There were counter seats towards the back wall, and of course, I was guided to a counter seat.
Fantasy chicken wings ★★★★★ @ 605 yen (tax included) x3
I found out last time at the Funabashi branch that I can eat 3 plates (lol). Once you start eating, you can't stop, right?! I devoured 15 wings in 3 plates all at once!! It must have been a bizarre sight for onlookers, but... (lol) The fantasy pepper is irresistible♪ Isn't it fun to lick the pepper off your fingers? By the way... Am I the only one who thinks chicken wings are easier to eat than chicken wings?
Natto omelette ★★★★★ 528 yen (tax included)
A classic dish at izakayas~♪ Well, I think the seasoning is the same everywhere, so it's definitely delicious!! The difference might be in the price, right?
Gari shochu highball ★★★★ 495 yen (tax included)
Another classic menu item at izakayas!! I was happy to see that there were plenty of large pieces of pickled ginger in it~♪ It seems that the menu varies slightly depending on the branch. I got excited to see the natto omelette that was not available at other branches♪ Since I found out I can easily eat 15 wings, let's go for 20 next time!!

I felt like eating some peppery chicken wings, so I visited this place! They go great with highballs and lemon sours. The crispy wings are delicious, including the cartilage parts. However, the skin on the third plate was soggy, clearly undercooked. While one plate might have been a fluke, all three were soggy, so I wish they would pay more attention to cooking time.

I knew about this restaurant but had never been there before. I love chicken, but I'm not a big fan of chicken wings, so that might be why. I finally visited this famous restaurant for the first time. I arrived a bit early, around 6 pm, so the place was still quite empty. I sat at the counter and ordered the famous chicken wings, chicken gizzard stew, and mozuku seaweed vinegar. The mozuku seaweed vinegar came in a surprisingly large portion, which was a pleasant surprise for a mozuku lover like me. The chicken wings, the main dish of the day, arrived at the table with a unique aroma. The skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy. The spiciness from the pepper and other spices made it delicious. It also had a lingering spiciness that went well with beer or highball. The meat came off the bone easily, making it easy to eat. It truly lived up to its reputation as a "world-famous" dish. The chicken gizzard stew had a sweet and savory flavor and looked like a classic chicken gizzard dish. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Sekai no Yamachan after a long time and had their chicken wings, but they were too salty. The standard seasoning had a strong pepper taste. It felt like the pepper made me drink more. I also ordered motsunabe, which also had a very strong flavor. Before I knew it, I was gulping down highballs. It seems like a trick of the restaurant.

It was Saturday, so it was okay to keep a distance. I went from Nakayama Racecourse to Kinshicho and visited Sekai no Yamachan. I had ordered a course and all-you-can-drink in advance, but the food took quite a while to come out. I should have asked them to bring the food first and leave the restaurant early based on the situation. Well, as long as the chicken wings were delicious, it's all good.

I happened to watch a TV show about Sekai no Yamachan and suddenly craved for chicken wings, so I went there right away. First, I had a beer and chicken wings, then a Yamachan sour, Yamakabechan, and chicken gizzard stew, followed by salmon bruschetta and freshly squeezed sour. It was delicious. The seasoning on the chicken wings was a bit strong for me (I have high blood sugar and high blood pressure). Haha!

This is my first time visiting! I'm not a fan of strong pepper, so I asked for it to be a little less and it was just right and delicious! Personally, I really enjoyed the secret sauce. I thought the salad was a chorogi salad, but it was a chonegi salad with a lot of green onions! The spiciness of the green onions goes well with the salad dressing. The fried chicken was a bit tough and lacked juiciness. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant on a regular Wednesday at 5:00 PM without a reservation, but was able to be seated immediately. At that time, about 80% of the seats were empty. The restaurant is child-friendly, allowing strollers and providing child seats with belts. They also offer children's plates and toys as gifts, which is very much appreciated. Personally, I prefer the "phantom chicken wings" with less pepper as it suits my taste better. The "secret black chicken wings" were also good, but I found the pepper flavor more crispy and satisfying than the miso sauce, so I may not order it again. The miso skewers were tasty with a unique miso flavor, but the skewers themselves were average. The sashimi platter with 4 varieties was fresh and delicious, but it may not be necessary to specifically come here for it. The affordable Yama-chan sour citrus chu-hi was easy to drink and tasty, making it a better choice than ordering a more expensive one. I will definitely come back for the phantom chicken wings as I crave them regularly.

Entry time: Sunday at 3:00 PM
Reservation: Made through Hot Pepper one week in advance
Used GOTO points
Waiting time: Arrived 5 minutes early and was seated immediately
Interior environment: Accessed by elevator, the building looks suspicious but the interior is bright and clean. There are both table seating and private rooms with adequate spacing between tables. However, noise from neighboring customers can be distracting due to the open ceiling in the private rooms. Baby strollers are allowed.
Price and taste:
- "Phantom Chicken Wings" for 528 yen: Delicious with a hint of pepper flavor. Personally prefer it with less pepper. The size is somewhat small and can be finished by one person. A must-try.
- "Doteni" for 429 yen: Rich flavor, good for those who enjoy the taste of miso. More konjac than offal. Only necessary for the first visit.
- "Miso Kushi Katsu" for 264 yen: Very tasty miso flavor, a great way to experience Nagoya. A must-try.
- "Mazerou" for 429 yen: About half a clenched fist worth of food. The taste is decent, but not necessary for a repeat order since other items are preferred.
- "Pork Mayo Kimchi" for 616 yen: Pricey for the portion size. Has a fragrant flavor but not worth the cost.
- "Cartilage Karaage" for 429 yen: Very crispy and delicious. Even better when dipped in the leftover miso. Might want to try again depending on the mood.
Drinks: "Maca Energy Sour" for 480 yen, "Red Grape Highball" for 495 yen, "Lemon Sour" for 473 yen, "Yamachan Sour" for 429 yen. The Yamachan Sour is surprisingly delicious for its price. All drinks were satisfying.
Remarks: Despite mentioning the free appetizer coupon during reservation and at the restaurant, nothing was provided. Payment with Suica is possible.
Likelihood to revisit: Will definitely return for the chicken wings!

I visited after a long time~☆ The menu has expanded~! The croquettes and natto omelette, although they may be unconventional in a Yamachan menu, were really delicious. They seem to have the role of mellowing out the spiciness of the chicken wings. I was very interested in the GODIVA drink, but I couldn't resist ordering a draft beer or highball with my chicken wings (^-^; I plan to visit again in two weeks, so I'll try the GODIVA drink then. The chicken wings were as delicious as always. Thank you for the meal.

World-famous Yamachan in Nagoya is known for its spicy chicken wings that go perfectly with alcohol. There is also a branch in Kinshicho, where I attended a farewell party. We opted for the all-you-can-drink course, likely the cheapest one based on the number of dishes. The meal started with fresh cabbage and kamaboko (fish cake), which felt a bit cheap despite being a decent choice. The legendary spicy chicken wings lived up to their reputation, but as it was a course, it was hard to go all out and enjoy them fully. We also had salad, fried chicken, shrimp chips, and stir-fried pork. Overall, the course felt a bit lacking in power, and I wished there were more varieties of chicken wings with different seasonings. The satisfaction level was a bit low. I would have preferred more intense flavors. Thank you for the meal!

About a 2-minute walk from Kinshicho Station, I sometimes go to "Sekai no Yamachan" for their delicious chicken wings. It's not a full meal, but just to enjoy some chicken wings. They are much tastier than regular izakayas, so it's worth going there for that. It's always quite crowded whenever I go, so it seems to be popular. The staff working there are cheerful and pleasant. Thank you for the meal!

I stayed in Tokyo for the first time in a while to attend Summer Sonic! After it ended at 9pm, I met up with friends in Kinshicho to have a drink. Unfortunately, there weren't many izakayas open late, but since I love Yamachan and there's only one store in Fukuoka, I decided to go there! We only had an hour until last order, so we quickly started our party. We ordered our usual items to go with our drinks: - Yamachan's famous chicken wings (5 pieces for 450 yen) - Miso pork skewers (3 pieces for 300 yen) - Draft beer (490 yen) My friend, who claimed to be lacking vegetables, also ordered: - Neo Yamachan salad (680 yen) - Authentic Kimchi from Osaka (350 yen) We started with the chicken wings, which had a strong spicy flavor that went perfectly with the beer. The miso pork skewers were also delicious, with a sweet miso flavor and a hint of soybean. The beer went down smoothly with the kimchi as well. Before we knew it, we had consumed 3 glasses of beer in just 1 hour! My friend ended up eating all of the Neo Yamachan salad, so I didn't get to taste it. Overall, we had a cheap and delicious meal. It was a great experience!

I'm really happy that Yamachan opened in Kinshicho in the world... And it's even better that it's completely non-smoking!! I have used it several times while thinking that. There are more and more smoke-free izakayas in Koto, but I didn't have that impression in Kinshicho, so I'm happy about that alone. I don't remember eating anything other than tebasaki at Yamachan, but it's fun to try out a variety of Nagoya dishes like freshly made tempura, tsukune, miso katsu, ankake spaghetti, and kishimen.

The chicken wings are famous, but I wanted to try the "Ankake Spaghetti" on my first visit. The Ankake Spaghetti is incredibly delicious. However, overall, the cost performance is not good.

Everyone recommended it, so I went. I ordered the famous chicken wings! Salty! But it was irresistibly addictive haha. The other dishes were delicious too, and the restaurant was crowded because it's popular. I want to go back again!
